I agree with the idea of being able to remove items that have reached &;zero&; with selling. I know that it says once you put the item in the shop you can&;t remove it, but it seems silly not be able to remove an item when you can&;t sell it anymore due to the batch limit being reached.

And no problemo Jessi, I was there and had some time to help xB;

Omg thiiiis, i have so many items rotting in my shop because they were all 2nd batches :c it's super confusing and not very user friendly having useless cws you can't sell anymore in the shop! it shouldn't be hard to add a delete button to the cws that reached the max numbers of batches sold D:

well it's something i have no problem creating and hopefully getting people involved in but i think it's essential if more than a couple people have the power to ping the group we're all over in terms of location and time zones so there's not going to be an ideal group of people to police it lol but setting up a set of guidelines for it shouldn't be a problem either and i'll be getting feedback before anything is set in stone! we just really need a "for users BY users" kind of notification system cos staff aren't always around to be in on discussions and bring it to our attention

also i can't run it by myself anyway i have too much to do at work LOL

Oh yes please do! And admin powers can be added to anyone you'd like so I'm sure there's a fair few of us who wouldn't mind helping be an admin who wouldn't necessarily have time to run it alone!

Hey, I like the idea of a group for CW releasers! I can help set up one if you'd like pretty much whenever, and definitely have a bunch of admins so that it won't ever be without one if someone isn't active anymore. I think it'd be a fun thing to try and brainstorm in the group forums about more resources that we can create and stuff like that, and could also serve as a place for new releasers to ask more experienced people for help with submission/setting up threads/anything they're confused about. It can be set where anyone can join and anyone can ping so that it's open for whatever we need, and I can go through and set up forums and send out invites to everyone with an active release thread once it's actually made!

Thank you for the ping!

I wasn't aware that submitting something direct to shop was scamming if you listed a batch number, since i figured it'd be the same difference if I only sold the x amount of copies anyway, since if it didn't fill as a single batch, it's unlikely that you'll ever sell the x amount of copies anyway.. Typically the only time i did submit direct to shop was if it didn't fill or more recently I just submit direct to shop without trying to slot it at all...

I have some things listed for preclaims in my friends group and I believe i listed them as 1 batch.... so I will probably just scrap them entirely since i'm not about to spend 3000csc or more on each of them to get them on site and have 5-6 copies i'm never going to sell anyway. I guess it's several lessons learned and less csc I'll spend anyway since I won't be able to DTS them either. n_n

I have seen people say that they are slotting 1 batch/2 batches but then when I get a payment ping they've submitted it as unlimited. Does this constitute as scamming?

or if in the post they say they're going to only do x batches but will be submitting unlimited. (i mean without saying more copies may be released later)

Are either of these cases allowed?

I understand the appeal of wanting to submit unlimited. I personally just like being able to completely remove an item from my shop so that it doesn't show up in shop when you do an item search, since even if you set the cost as 0, items with "copies left" still appear in the search even if I'm not selling them any more.

okay so i went ahead and just made the group here so please join cos i'd love to start with you guys as admins!

i have to stop sneaking on while at work so if you want to start the logistics (aka ground rules for pinging, etc) discussion without me feel free i started that thread here

i did choose to leave it open to all users because like mentioned it could be a useful ping for people intending to release CWs too

would like to be in on this as well?

EDIT -- come join the group xD

I know this is hardly relevant anymore but I missed the bulk of this thread. Anyway, my personal problem with the rules is that it's not stated blatantly anywhere (at least not that I can find) that the number of batches you submit an item with has to match the number of batches actually stated to be released. You don't have to release all the batches you submit an item with, so it never occurred to me that you could only submit an item with the number of batches you stated (or maybe it would have been "obvious" that submitting to the Cash Shop was also not allowed)

I had a single-batch item that I had submitted as unlimited by mistake. Someone on the slot list actually caught it and brought it to my attention but I said "I'm only submitting the one batch so it's fine." And now clearly I've been made aware that that information is wrong, but why are the rules so vague? Something that can net someone a warning for misinterpreting should probably be as clear as possible (or maybe it's just me that's been reading things wrong)

Also, for what it's worth I think the best way to word your batch limits is probably "I'm slotting one batch at this time, but there may be more in the future." As far as I can tell, even with this new information, this isn't against the rules. You're not promising more batches later, but the wording is vague enough to leave it open. You can potentially submit the item as unlimited to make room for your "more bathes in the future" but only submit the single batch at the time (or submit the item DTS in the event it doesn't fill).

oh wow, i had no idea, thank you so much for the ping to this because dkslajda SO MANY PEOPLE DO THIS? if one slot fills, that's covering, ex for a wig, 4.3k csc instead of paying 1,6k + 500 for artist copy (2,1k) :C

thanks for the knowledge and now i know! ;o; maybe i'll have to update my shop rules :/

Hi guys! I'm back for a bit to work on some things. Check this space soon :)

- Thank you SO much for the explanation, that helps a ton, and I can totally see why that would be a cluttered mess in your shops. I am going to get a programmer on that in the next few days - I think it will be relatively easy fix (but I have next to no programming experience so don't take my word for it!) :

Part of the problem, it seems, is that information is scattered all over the place in regards to CWs
My dear, I agree with you 100%. I have been trying to keep things as simple as possible, but it's been difficult, especially since I've been doing this by myself for nearly a year now. CWs are definitely something that outgrew their original space and have busted into other areas of the house, so to speak. I'm hoping I will be able to keep making things a little more streamlined. I'll be introducing an idea a little later today that will help with that :)

- Your post was v. long and I am going to come back to it once I address these easier questions xD Just so you know! Not ignoring you bb ❤️

YES IT DOES. Please report it when you see it. I know there sometimes might be an issue with you not wanting to turn fellow CW creators in but it is very very important to report these issues!!

I definitely don't want to discount all the hard work you've been putting in - I know it's a LOT to handle and a lot of CWers like myself tend to be loud and I'm sure demanding at times. <3 You keep doing you!

WHOO. Now I can work on some back end things. And on that note, I am going to lock this thread -- not because I do not want your continued feedback!!! I am going to be posting two new boards in the next let's say 30-60 minutes and I just want all the feedback moved there to help keep things streamlined. Keep your eyes peeled, and I will ping you guys when they're open, of course!
