Thanks so much for the ping! I was truly not aware of this and didn't know that putting a disclaimer wouldn't help either. Extremely bummed about this rule :( Means it would be impossible for me to sell only 3-4 copies of things with low interest (But since it is impossible to predict interest for especially new designs, if I said something will be 2 batch but it doesn't even fill one I can't submit it direct to shop so only the few people who wanted copies can get one. I have to cover the extra slots myself? DUDE. I honestly thought that was the reason direct to shop was invented in the first place) So... if something doesn't get enough interest for one batch we'd have to front the cost ourselves. And we all know that even if things are put into CW shops for slot price sometimes they might take ages and ages to sell. Basically tying up our money with extra copies of our items. Not gonna lie I'm quite upset about this. I've NEVER used direct to CS to scam and am sad that people do u.u

Not cool... also I gotta go submit a ticket

Oh my gosh I didn't even know this was a thing... I haven't been here for very long so didn't even know that CW shops didn't exist like they do today. I have done this. I need to send in a ticket... I have things in my shop that are down as unlimited but I have said there are limited copies (which I have been EXTREMELY strict on monitoring) i have not sold more than intended

I will have to send in a ticket right away. I have read the rules multiple times and this definitely wasn't one of them. Too hidden to be enforced, in my opinion.

How can we follow a rule that isn't clearly stated? That we don't know about? Ahhhh...

they really need to make it possible to submit direct-to-shop with a batch limit, why does it automatically force it to be unlimited??

The way this caught me up was:

If I'm too scared a CW will be denied, I don't want to take slots and put everybody through a long confusing/annoying denial process, so instead I will submit it direct-to-shop, to save everybody the wasted time of me having to fix anything wrong with it. And then once accepted, release it like I would with any other CW.. including a batch limit, although forced to have it as unlimited because of the stupid direct-to-shop submission process. I have never sold any more than intended

I think I may have only done this once, I can't remember what CW it was but it's one of my permanently retired ones anyway.

Thank you. This is very helpful for my future releases.

As a new releaser (I just started like.. 3 weeks ago?) with a relatively small ping group, I have concerns on whether my items will fill a batch or not (and there's no way of knowing without interest checks, that is like a magic crystal ball to me lol). & thankfully, they all did so far with the help of customwear and the artist groups. I'm disappointed we still have to fork over 30-40 dollars to fill the batch due to low interest. TBD, like many in this thread already have said, is really shady and I think putting that would delay slotting. I'm also disappointed on how this rule was not clearly stated in the submission page, but that is fixed now so it's all good. Hopefully this will be remedied soon with the lower batch limit or batch limits in shop.

Submit to shop with a batch limit PLEASE Submit to shop with a batch limit PLEASE Submit to shop with a batch limit PLEASE Submit to shop with a batch limit PLEASE

What happens to the CW that we have in shop now? They are not unlimited. Do we need to remove them?

, thanks for the ping dear. Ugh, I'm nursing a hang over but I am feeling a lot like on this matter

Will be submitting a ticket later today as I was not aware that direct to shop was not allowed to push items through that did not slot well. Granted I didn't keep track of all the items I did so with. And in no way was I ever trying to scam anyone in doing so. Suppose I will also reread everything once more before moving forward.

Also I feel the need to bring up another issue similar to this...

when we submit a CW WITH batches, say, 2 batch maximum.. and we get the item on site with the first batch, we can move the 2nd batch to our shop and it WILL have a capped limit, which is totally within the rules...

HOWEVER.. when those 2nd batch copies sell in our shop, all of them, sold out, the CW still shows up in there. But there's nothing we can do with it.. we can't sell anymore, it won't let us, we can't remove it, it won't let us, it just sits there rotting, confusing us...

there should be a way to delete CW's in our custom wearable shop that can no longer be released. or ones we have permanently retired, delete them from our shop for good so they stop confusing us

Already stated in my ticket c: I am very confused atm regarding that too. I always state "12-15 slots" which requires me to send it to shop so I can send the 5 invites. Which ... is not allowed? I'm not going to pay the rest if it will just rot in my vault.

Question. I always submit as unlimited and I don't recall if I ever did exact batches as I found that it never worked to say only 1-2 or 3 batches max and recently I just decided to have X amount in total of the items in my shop. Would this be scamming? I guess I just want to get clarity before I move forward with anything else.

Nice! unclear hidden rule where everyone is either confused or upset because since the slots were unfilled, had to direct to shop it(but now they can be in trouble for doing so) which is unfair because to scam is to do with it intention for extra money, all they were doing was covering their losses so they could at least have it onsite....Sorry if I got something wrong in my wording because I am confused about all of this.

I do know one thing: Cw market is weak at the moment. This new agenda makes the situation WORSE not better in my opinion. We will see how it goes though because I know as an artist, I don't feel comfortable releasing items(very rare for me to do so) because I dont want to somehow break a rule that shouldn't even exist and be warned for it. I am sure there are others like myself who are confused and don't want to bother with it anymore.

Things are bleak as it is, I am sure this is not helping!

also!! Lyonesse why in the world was this discussed only in private/warned ppl in private!! this kind of discussion and info is critical to so many ppl in this thread alone who weren&;t informed privately, and to the community as a whole. why keep it hush hush when folks can get/have gotten warnings!! whaaaaat!

I think you didn't put yourself on my position for even a second before typing this.

First of all, a thing that is less important because affects myself only and that you wouldn't have how to know: I'm being target by another user or a group of users. I know that because I'm receiving messages of "this is not an official warning, BUT...", so I know that there's someone out there targeting me and I know, by the content of the messages, that it's someone related to the CW community. I have some suspicions of who might be the person (or persons), but that doesn't matter at all. I know that person (or persons) are looking through all my messages, posts, everything, trying to find ANYTHING that could cause me problems and that's why I couldn't be the one to bring a matter of this seriousness to light. Also, you're aware that I'm a fairly new releaser (I've been releasing for three months) so I wasn't the most indicated people to do it, even excluding the fact that I'm being targetted.

That matter was really very serious, because it affected the community as a whole and most of the releasers I know as well. Me and almost all my friends, if not everyone, have violated that rule without even thinking it was a rule in the first place. And by that I mean: we all have submitted CWs with unfilled first batches through DTS, send out a few invites and then removed the item from shop. And no one, absolutely no one of us was aware that this was considered scamming. And neither any of us did that with the intention to scam someone, but as you are perfectly aware, submit as limited one item with 3-4 slots filled is undoable. It's a huge amount of CSC and you'll end up with tons of unwanted batch extra copies that you do not want and won't be able to sell anytime soon. You are also aware that advertising an item as "unlimited" in the first place means that you won't fill slots on it at all, that you'll mainly sell copies slowly (because people will always try to find a secondhand cheaper copy) and that your item will devaluate it's price with time; and most of us releasers don't want that.

I found that using the DTS this way could by a problem entirely by accident when I sent a ticket to find if the "DTS" thing is allowed, because I find it a bit misleading. So I took my time to ask a lot of other questions too and ended up finding that out. I panicked, as everyone should, thinking that my account and the account of all my friends (and in fact, of the most of the CW community) was at risk.

All we needed to get countless warnings was that someone ill-intended decided to report us. Simple as that.

Read my ticket conversation again. Staff was pretty clear that it was a rule that was very clearly stated and that everyone should know about it. But I knew most of the people didn't. I knew most of the releasers were in trouble.

Afraid that bringing the issue to light without speaking with a huge part of the releasers might ended up causing problems (a massive warning/frozen wave, even!), I decided to contact the releasers that I'm friends of privately, show them my ticket and ask them to show the ticket to other friends of them. Once again, everything done privately to protect people, because bringing this to light could end up on a massive warning wave. We were discussing a proper way to bring the issue to light, but the truth is that everyone was scared.

Until brought the issue to and now here we are. I already have thanked on private for having the courage that many of us were lacking but let me express that on public this time. Thank you.

Also, consider that this story is having a happy ending BUT it's pretty easy to see a scenario of it ending up pretty bad for most of us. And that was what many were scared about.

Tbh, I'm now dreaming about the ease of DTS with batch limits involved. Plenty of my Octo Coils didn't have full first batches that I had to cover myself. If I could have just sent them to the shop for way less CSC and still been able to control how many there were, I'd have danced

first of all! sorry if i came off rude or aggressive or as if i thought negatively of you-- I didn't at all expect this reaction from you and i'm really surprised atm, which makes me figure i must have. I was just baffled as to why and wanted to know, sorry! i also had no idea of your personal situation with people on this site, either, so there's really no way to have put myself in your shoes regarding that. ;x

ANYHOW! I didn't read the tickets apart from reaper's; as i skimmed through the thread I had read that you said you were warning only select users about this. It absolutely makes sense, given the above (which, again, I had no idea about), why you didn't bring it up publically.

It just seems like nobody spread this very far, which is a bummer to me because while there's a happy ending and warnings/etc are being removed & pardoned for past mistakes, it all kind of reinforces the idea of "cliques" and that only a certain clique was aware of this. I'm not saying that was the case, but that's how it can come off, if that makes sense?

that's really all; again I super apologize i came off like a jerk! ;;

If people didn't spread it that far, I supposed it was because we all were scared. This information, if it got to the wrong hands before we could do anything, it would result in a massive warning wave. Also, this was something that I found out only two weeks ago, so it's expected that the info didn't went that far. And we also needed a confirmation that staff didn't got my questions wrong, maybe, so someone else needed to sent another ticket with the same question to confirm. Which most of the people who I spoke to didn't feel comfortable in doing because they were scared as hell.

You know how is to be targetted on Subeta yourself (yes, I'm talking about SS), so... you know how low people can be. Me and many others had all the reasons in the world to be scared of ill-intended people.

It's not a matter of cliques, really. But you know that not all releasers like each other as persons, if you know what I mean. It's a matter of trust. Everyone told the matter just to the people who they completely trusted in. If you had info that could prejudice you and all of your friends, you would only talk about it to people you would trust very dearly, right?

I'm very sorry if you felt offended that I didn't decided to talk to you about this. But I only trusted this issue to the closest of my closest friends that are releasers, which means.... three people. And I was so scared that I decided to talk to them absolutely off-site about this, just to ensure the conversation would be safe. And I asked these three to talk to their own most truthest friends.

If this info got into bad hands before we tried to do something, lots of us would be frozen/warned by now. Don't you see?

NAW I 100% understand! I'm not offended per se it's just kind of that weird grey area of interesting, if that makes sense (i'm like 90% sure it doesn't but lmao as we know i can't words)? but dood no need to apologize at all, and I appreciate you taking the time to explain all of the things

Actually, I didn't even spoke about it with everyone that's a releaser and that I'm close of/trust. To be strict, I only told that to the ones that I have contact off-site.

i'm not sure if i'm the right one to propose this considering how little i go into the forums in general, but maybe there can be a user-run CW Releasers ping group that can be made and we just try to get everyone to join? i wouldn't mind making it a weekend project to track down people and send comments and stuff to get them joined, i just wouldn't be the right person to run it, you know?

ahhh thank you for putting into words the feeling i got at first :/ more like "....hm."
