ONLY if you said "This will be ONE BATCH ONLY' and then were like "LOL JK UNLIMITED FOR 24 HOURS!!!" If you say something will be unlimited but released in batches and then do that sort of event, that's fine :) (and actually a fun idea!)
Dayam I had no idea all this was going down! When I first started my shop I sometimes submitted straight to shop if it would cost less on unfilled batches. EEEK seriously had no idea so thank kyou for bringing this up so it could be clarified for the community! ❤
Thank you, jessi! Going to send chu in a ticket! ^____^
As several of us have mentioned, would there be any way to enable batch limits for direct-to-shop items? Batch indication is greyed out the moment you hit DTS, so would it be plausible to somehow make that a new feature?
In the long run, this would reduce the need for you to police this, and for users having to report each other.

This is unfortunately a programming thing so I have very little say in going "YEAH THAT WOULD BE POSSIBLE" XD I can certainly run it by them, however! I just pitch the ideas, I don't actually have the knowledge to do much about them myself. I'm assuming it would be possible but you know what they say about assuming.
Of course--in my head I'm thinking it shouldn't theoretically be toooooooo difficult, but I don't know what goes on under the hood. Thank you for running it by them!
I'll be sending you a ticket regarding the "x batches going DTS" in a few moments.

Hey guys. is a rock star and she updated the CW submission page with the new text, so it should be hopefully a lot more clear now!! I am going to stay up a little longer working on some more tickets. If I don't get to yours tonight, I'll do my best to do so tomorrow!
Oooh, glad to see Amber is gonna update the agreement thing! I appreciate that very much as that's something we all always have to check off :)
I ALSO MADE THE PAGE NOT LOOK SO GROSS AT THE BOTTOM (like that text was right on the border, it was very weird), WAY TO FORGET TO MENTION THAT .
I AM SORRY BUT YEAH YOU GUYS AMBER FIXED THE PAGE it is far less ugly now, she is amazing and I appreciate her v. v. much
This is absolutely fine to do!
❤️ We appreciate all the clarification and beautification of the submission page.
Thank you for keeping our eyeball safety in mind and keeping everything nice and neat and pretty ❤️
thank u for this! ;-; i think i only have ever had to do this for my first cw submitted (i think it was about just under 2 yrs ago and i was told it was ok at the time) but yikees!
do i have to submit a ticket for this? im not sure bc im not a frequent releaser so i dont know if you'd still like to double check even for just 1 item! also thank you so much for speeding up the cw queue to 2-3 days, its a huge deal to me and im super super grateful! ❤
i like your idea of batch limits for dts hehe. i was wondering why this wasnt discussed earlier! i hope it can get put into place bc it will save a lot of trouble. and also hoping that the dts submission price can be recalculated percentage-wise rather than stuck as block-pricing-wise q.q

I think I get their point about well just cover the slots and put in your USER SHOP to sell the remaining copies. And they are policing it more now because they started the new shop area for users to have. BUT when Direct to shop is max 1600csc to get an item on site and if you have a 5000csc slotted item and only 2 slots fill. You now have to shell out 3600csc to get it on site which is ridiculous! Subeta is getting that money while you are stuck with extra copies of an item that didnt slot in the first place. So they have the money while you are out the cash. Im sorry that seems like a crappy response to users that release CWs. And I do put items thru that have a few copies left in a batch when the cost is the same or close to what it would be direct to shop. What this is telling me is, this new item that I just pushed thru that had ONE user slot on, I would have had to submit it with slots covering 4300csc to not consider it scamming? Even tho with the direct to shop I kept with my original statement of 1-2 batches (I only put 10 copies of 3 of the items and 15 copies of the 4th since that falls in the 2 batch amount). If staff want to focus on something, focus on letting me remove an item from my CW store once it is on site. I have items in there that are retired and no plans on any more copies being released (Or have pushed thru and only put 10 copies on site). OR at least have it set up like the new galleries where you can put it into categories and only see the category you want when in there. So I can put RETIRED/ALL SOLD OUT items in so I dont have to see them listed every time I try to find something.
I now have a question regarding recolors (I guess I only did a recolor once)
does that mean IF I am planning a wig I will have to state in my advertising post "this will have 4 recolors - blonde, red, pink and green" - for example which would be stupid recolors anyway
or is it enough ti state "I am planning recolors"
(I am so glad my foregrounds/frames do not come in recolors)
witht that askes I am off to work!

thanks for you hard work and continuing efforts to work with the community to make everything better for us all personally, i thought it was obvious, but without it having been stated implicitly like it is now, i can understand the confusion it's caused, though. wording that allots for wiggle room in interpretation does typically lead to small misunderstandings. lbr tho even when something is stated as plainly as possible people will still have questions LOL
i'm also wondering how this info could have been passed among releasers more easily? after having gone through the thread not many people pinged others past your initial pings and it's basically a damn shame. personally, i don't go in the forums in general much so there's no way i would have found this thread without someone pointing it out to me. (which, for me, was done by jessi's official ping) i'm more wondering aloud if maybe there's a more effective way to get these kind of issues out to everyone? i know participation in the forums is entirely elective but idk when it's this kind of stuff i'm just wondering if there's a way to better alert our peers sorry, i'm basically heading to bed so i'm possibly talking circles
❤️
I saw a comment that made me go "huh, what are they talking about" so I asked and saw the screenshots Lyonesse had shared. I thought some of the wording was possibly unclear in her questions to staff, so I made a ticket. I didn't want to post/share anything regarding the responses until I had a firm answer that cleared up all the confusion I ended up with from the initial comment and screenshot I'd seen.
But also I totally get what you're saying because I was like "who should I ping? who did I forget to ping?" There's not really a universal group that most folks who release/submit cws has joined beyond customwear, but I was not positive this would be a ping I could/should use. I think the problem is just that, there's no real mandatory group that can be pinged when info like this comes up.
Sorry if this sounds stupid but i was basically on a mini hiatus for a while and just noticed this. So i usually list my releases as "Unlimited but only filling 3 batches at this time" is that against the rules as well ? If so i need to run and make a ticket real quick. I just wanted to make sure
I read the answer to this somewhere before... awhile back- but if you state an actual number of recolors, and then do more than what you previously stated, that is considered scamming. So if you say you'll have 4 recolors- blond, black, brown and red and then release pink and white afterwards because suddenly the wig is popular, that's considered scamming. And, if you say 'this will be the final recolors' you have to stay true to that. If you decide to 'revamp' the wig, same design, updated lines and shading- you cannot release the same colors as the original, it has to be different colors. If it's a new wig, or added to it (long wig made short, short wig made long), it's basically a brand new wig and you can set limits however you want.
Extra rules and such can be found on the forum in the cw thread, just an fyi.
And Jessi, thanks for all your help in clarifying this. I know you must've been scratching your head wondering why everyone was so suddenly confused and also, thank you for allowing ppl to more or less 'confess' and giving them a pass. Def a great ty for that. =)
I don't think it's wrong to state you'll be submitting more and then submitting less (like stated above, you can say it'll be 2 batches, but then only submit 1 due to lack of interest). The prob is the stating less and then submitting more. I'm sure you're okay, since you're clearly stating it's unlimited but with a temp release number at that time (but buyers know it's not a final number). I think it's the finality that is the issue... but Jessi will prolly give you more clarification when she gets back online.
