okay, thank you very much for clarifying. I have one more question for you if you don't mind; regarding the direct to shop option. I have an item that did not slot well so I have decided that it will only be a single batch. However, I don't necessarily have the funds to fork over $30+ to cover the additional slots. Will there be a solution to help ease this kind of strain on users who, like myself find themselves in this predicament from here on out? I'd prefer to send the item to my shop directly, limit it to 9 copies available and once they're sold remove the item entirely. Though just to be safe and be sure I'm making sense of it all, is this a no-no? As I'd like to know how I'm going to approach current and future releases and definitely do not want to do anything that would cause issues with my account.

thanks for the link! I joined but like still would have liked this to be more official like news wide or something, I mean these are rule clarifications so I don't see why there's no need to do an official news post even if only a few people are affected

- At this point, this is a no-no. If you want an item to be one batch, you need to submit it at one batch. If you do not have the funds to cover the additional slots, there isn't really a solution for it at this point (see a lot of the previous notes I've made in this thread about ways we're trying to work this out right now)

- It wasn't done as a 'news post' because I was simply responding to this user-made thread. This isn't a new rule (as I've said multiple times), and we're clarifying and taking care of things here. I'm sorry if you didn't think enough was done to make it obvious -- that's why I suggested joining the ping group, because I DO ping it pretty much any time something official with CWs happens (... hence the name of official cw, haha)

I agree with the idea of being able to remove items that have reached 'zero' with selling. I know that it says once you put the item in the shop you can't remove it, but it seems silly not be able to remove an item when you can't sell it anymore due to the batch limit being reached.

And no problemo Jessi, I was there and had some time to help xB;

I get that but something where you can get reported for and need to file a ticket for just to be on the safe side is a little bit more than just general changes to the cw system but I don't want to discuss this any further. Thanks for all your clarification.

- Can you guys help clarify for me? (all the items in my own CW shop are unlimited so they just sit there haha). Once an item has sold all copies, does it still appear in the PUBLIC part of a CW shop, just with 0 in stock? Or is it appearing on the back end, too? Unfortunately my own CWs are either released as one batch or unlimited so I can't toss one into my shop to test!

[edit] Also! I am off for a few hours to go run errands/go jogging/etc. I'll be back on tonight to work on the queue and answer any other questions/tickets. Also I will have an announcement oooooo~ so stay tuned for that as well!

It doesn't show up in the shop for other users to see once it reaches 0, however, under 'manage shop' it's in the list. Since we can't separate the cws from each other or organize them in any way, we can't put a category that says something like "no more available" or something. It's just in there with a 0 and the lock sign. Even if it was grayed out it'd be better than it sitting there like that taking up space in the shop.

Plus, I was figuring too, that several people say an item retires after some time, even if it's a dts, or the remaining copies didn't actually sell, it would be nice to either be able to move it to a 'folder' or select to 'close' it (like gray it out and that's permanent (so there should def be a 'are you sure??' prompt)) OR, remove it from the shop and then on the page where it lists all our submitted cws, it doesn't give the option to resubmit it- saying something like "You sold all copies of this in the cs shop and removed it; you can't put it back". Does that all make sense? lol.

Thank you both for the pings. This is an issue that has been murky for me, but since I've never actually submitted anything to the cash shop, doesn't directly affect me yet! However, I'm VERY glad this has been brought out into the open to discuss and get clarification. Rules for submission should be crystal clear, imo.

Thank you for all the clarifications and trying to be more transparent on the CW submission thread. I would like to offer another suggestion that has been brought up a time or two in other related threads (since I have no way of knowing if staff has seen it yet, and you seem available today. ^^)

Part of the problem, it seems, is that information is scattered all over the place in regards to CWs. Some users ( and come to mind), have been trying to create threads in the CW forums that are, for all intents and purposes, FAQs for buyers and creators/releasers as a way to condense information and simplify the learning process. However, I truly feel that a central location for the most important rules and information would be very helpful, and honestly --- the cw process is so complex (creation, selling, submission, cw shops, reselling via r200 or the new CSC shops, etc), I feel like a walkthrough of sorts, created by staff, would be more than welcome. Something like the walkthrough that guides new Subeta users through the basics, that's been created by staff. Perhaps it could be linked prominently in the CW forums, or perhaps triggered the first time you try to submit a CW once it's active - or, even, (and I'm really stretching here), it could be part of a new area on the site map with lots of helpful npcs, tutorials, shop listings, maybe a special shop for Pawn Shop items to appear in, etc! (I'd love CWs to be a real part of the wider Subeta universe, somehow!! But I digress.) Usermade guides are a great support tool for users who are dabbing into CWs, but the exposure is fairly limited to those already actively trying to get into cws. Having an official walkthrough, which could be far more visible, would - i believe - greatly help with recruiting new people!

Staff has been SO responsive and helpful lately with trying to revamp and revive the cw community, for which I am eternally grateful! While I know that a total revamp of the way rules and guidelines are collected and presented would definitely take a lot of time and effort on the staff's part, I think creating a central information hub of some kind, and deleting or clarifying years-old, and possibly inaccurate information spread across multiple threads and pages, would be super beneficial to new and old CW-ers alike. Even just a list of the most important rules or even LINKS to pertinent information on the cw submission page would be helpful, I think! Anyway, just some ideas from me (and those sage users that came before me). ;)

And now I'm off to brainstorm more ideas about CW island, because that sounds SO COOL and I want to make it happen T_________________T

Ooooh, I'm reading responses here and it looks like (sorry for the additional ping) is also possibly suggesting letting things with no copies be permanently removed from the shops/letting us permanently retire crap that is taking up space (at least in the user CW Shops).

- clarification on some of what's happening on the backend for us in management (I got screenshots for you sweets), so you can better understand what we were suggesting/asking and be armed with the right info if you're proposing a change to programmers with us :) All links are to screenshots so that the response here doesn't get giant!

As it stands, anything that has sold all of it's copies is still shown in user management, although it does not appear in shop searches as being in my CW Shop. (for reference, you can see my has no copies available in the management page, and the only copy appearing when searching shops is in a user's normal shop). However, it's still taking up space in my shop (and thus loading data) even though there's no way for me to ever sell any additional copies, but also no way for me to remove it from my shop and set it to permanent retirement.

An additional problem is items which I have stated I was permanently retiring, regardless of copies remaining un-purchased. I can set the prices of those to 0, but I cannot adjust the number of copies to 0, so the item will still appear in shop searches. I've stated that the item is retired, but I can't prevent it from appearing in shop searches because I cannot reduce the number of copies, nor can I remove it from the shop and have it be permanently retired (example here is my .

It's a suggestion we've been trying to make for awhile, but it would be awesome to be able to permanently remove items from our CW Shop (not like how it used to be with the CS Custom Wears shop where you could re-add after a time, just an absolute permanent removal). At that point, the item would be retired forever (no longer allowed to slot etc, just set to the same saying as other items who have filled all batches but were never added to the CS "You have already created all available batches of this item.").

Along that vein, it would also be great to be able to have items which have fulfilled all batches via traditional slotting set up so that they cannot be added to user shops (because the batch availability carries over anyhow, you'd be unable to actually release any copies), and also potentially to have a separate section in that overall item management. Currently, items with no copies remaining can still be shifted to CW shops (really don't know why) but also just kind of sit and take up space. Because it's organized by item ID (newest down to oldest), if you have unfilled batches on items, you often have to hunt through multiple pages of items that were already moved to your shop and/or lots of items in the image above that have filled all batches already. It's a separate but not unrelated point to the one about being able to remove items which are totally done from the user CW shops so I figured I'd bring it up to you too ❤️

Let me know if you need me to clarify anything I said or if you need more screenshots or anything!

I'm not sure why - when I edit it's all there.

just tried to quote it and it all appeared too.

Looks like the caching issue for larger posts is happening again.

[edit] hmmm. it was something to do with one of my responses to one of the other folks. Removed those and it appears to be okay.

Moving those responses here....

-squishes you- I got what you meant! The only reason I didn't bring any of it up after seeing the comment that made me go...'wait what?' was because I wanted to get an official response before I said anything. I felt like maybe the wording initially hadn't been clear, so I reworded in my request for clarification. As soon as it was confirmed I made the thread and pinged all the folks I could see who'd been active selling lately, but I just didn't want to possibly spread misinformation if what I'd read was wrong! I hope that clears up confusion for why I didn't poke anyone right away (the comment I saw was on a locked thread so I asked for clarification from the user who'd posted it and then immediately made my own ticket). I did contemplate making a thread before an answer was received, but I really and truly did not want to spread fear, especially if the outcome of my ticket didn't confirm what I'd seen/heard second-hand.

I'm actually super sad there isn't an easier way to reach the releasers at large to be like "hey y'all, hold off on doing this thing for a minute, I have a ticket in" because I'd have totally done it if I could do it without creating unnecessary worry.

Yeah, I was like....we need a group. But also I 100% am not right to run it either haha. I agree though that just encouraging folks to join and having it be like "please only ping if there's been an official update to rules or a rule clarified in a ticket response that you feel we all need to be aware of". I support the idea a lot.
