I understand you wanting to keep it as a private matter, but.... you forgot to tell me. And multiple other people out there affected by this.. we could've all been warned, or even frozen, for somebody not bringing this up.

it is a hidden rule that a lot of us, especially the newer people, don't know about. I wasn't even here when the old "CW Cash Shop" thing existed, I only heard about it now.. so for people like me, who release a lot of things, and I think I may have broken this rule in the past, this is a HUGE thing for me.

I'm basically being told I might have broken a rule I didn't even know existed. I am heartbroken

I had a huge responsability over my shoulders and I'm glad helped to relieve it, because on my current situation (fairly newer releaser; being currently target by someone I don't know who is) I wasn't the one who should or could bring this issue to light. At all.

I don't think that just tossing the bomb on everyone in a topic would be the best course of action two weeks ago. Think better about it, talk with other releasers, re-confirm with staff with another ticket and then, finally, doing something, was probably the best course of action and I'm eternally grateful to for finding this out and for fixing the things that I wasn't able to.

Yes. And I was told that I broke this rule straight on my face (through ticket) and that most of my friends did. Please, before getting sad with me, put yourself in my place. There was a lot of stress involved over the past two weeks because of that. It was a very delicate matter. And I'm glad that everything is finally over.

No, silly.. I'm not blaming you, I'm not upset with you.. if anything, I blame myself, and subeta, for not making this clearer for us all to understand. I don't know how they can expect us to follow a rule they hide from us and only say in one weird little sub-forum post thing...

I'm at least glad that we were told and will be let off if we have done this in the past, but what about those people who didn't get let off? and this just worries me, are there any other rules they're hiding from us that we're expected to follow?

Just for a little clarification, the rule was never 'hidden'. While not easily found, as it was in a forum few bother to actually look at- it's still in plain sight. Hidden implies that the rule was never stated or openly informed about at any point, which isn't true. It's not hidden- more or less I think the consensus is that it's just been confusing and not clearly stated, esp for newer releasers. But yeah, either way, a lot of newer ppl didn't know about it for the simple fact that it wasn't easy to find and like you said, you didn't even know you should be looking for said rules (as the rules we know of are on the submit page, it'd be nice if they linked to the forum for all the extra details).

This is absolutely brilliant news! There's been a few times I've thought about maybe commissioning a CW for private use but didn't want an entire 10-item batch. I don't think I even distributed 5 of my last private item. Sorry, I know this is only tangentially related because the main focus of this thread is rules, I'm just super happy to read this paragraph.

I chuckle a little when people say they think CWs have slowed down because you guys are filling up the queue faster than ever, ngl. - Someone (I believe !) answered your question nicely, but I'll go ahead and put it here all 'official like'. Lying about recolors counts as scamming. Now that doesn't mean you need to state your exact number of recolors EVERY time. But if you do say "This will have four recolors" and you're like oh this is r. popular I'm gonna release a 5th... that is scamming. So if you're not sure how many recolors you'll do, just don't state it :) - Haha yes, people will always have questions!! I thought it was obvious, but clearly I was wrong with all the tickets I've been answering! Nothing to worry about though since it's all being taken care of :) - Once again this was answered nicely by (thank you , I always appreciate the help!!), so I just wanted to confirm that she is right. It is okay to say "This will be unlimited, releasing 3 batches right now!" and release more in the future. A lot of people like to do seasonal releases and what not (and the 24-hours of unlimited, which sounds fun!) so that is just fine. - At this point I wouldn't worry about anything released in your shop up to this point :) - I was not aware of this! Thank you for letting me know. I will see if there's a way to have it be removed? I'm not quite sure how that sort of thing works, but thank you for bringing it to my attention! - If you always release them as unlimited, then that's fine. You can put however many in your shop you'd like at a time :)

Okay... I THINK that answers all the questions that were directed at me. Feel free to poke me if I am wrong! I did want to note one important thing: THIS IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM SAYING SOMETHING WILL BE ONE BATCH AND DECIDING TO RELEASE MORE. This is not cool. This has always been scamming, always will be scamming, and has always been stated when you submit a CW (and now the cash shop thing is included!). If you say something will be 1 batch, and that batch fills, you cannot go "Oh shoot I'm gonna do a second batch, that was really popular!" I think most of you know that, but it needed to be stated again to be clear!

My friend was wondering if she submitted an item as 2 batches and sent the last one to shop, is it considered against the rule?

- Nope, that's fine since you physically cannot put another batch in the shop. I addressed a concern with it with above, the fact that it still shows up in the sho, but it can't actually be sold! Gonna look into that later :)

edit: crap even later, didn't see the posts above, my bad lol kind of late to the party but what about submitting a second (or later) batches to shop? like I say 2 batches, fill the 1st, put the 2nd batch in shop and send out invites and then remove the cw from shop? it never went over the number of batches I stated it as so I don't see how it could be scamming

also not really sure why we need to get our accounts flagged just to be safe? why can't we not get in trouble retrospectively from x announcement date?

it was only because a friend pointed me toward this thread that I saw it, it's not like this is an official announcement :s kind of miffed about the way information is released tbh :l not everyone is in the know-how or interacts with others, I've been pretty MIA lately but released stuff in the past so there was a very GOOD chance I would never have seen this thread if it wasn't for someone /shrugs
