Normally I don't complain about the errors, but damn, I'm starting to tolerate them less and less. I can't wait to deal with them come Morostide 😒
Still no updates on Twitter, Facebook, or the 'amazing' Status Site. The site is crashing fully tonight, giving us the downtime error page now.

If yes, is it even fixable?
And if yes again, is it something that's going to take a long time?
I'd just really like to have answers to some of these questions. I'm so frustrated.
Even a 'Yes we know what the problem is and it is fixable, but it's going to take us a month or two to get things fully in order.' would be so much more welcome than the DEAD SILENCE we're receiving lately =/
I'm getting so many 502 errors today. I was hoping to take advantage of my time off work by activating a gold account but that seems too risky now. Are we not meeting the daily support goal anymore? I wish there were just more communication. I was so looking forward to Morostide and now I'm really hesitant :(

It took me about 30 minutes to finish making an avatar, mostly because of lag and the site going down :/
I haven't been active lately but I really enjoy the site. I hope these issues are going to get sorted out.

I'm in the same boat as Belias... I hadn't been able to get on much for the past several months. I've been here since waaay back and I was excited to get to play regularly again. However, the site being nearly unplayable is rather discouraging, and I don't see Morostide doing anything other than exacerbating an already bad situation..

this is truly becoming absolutely UNBEARABLE. i'm way, way more frustrated than i am enjoying the site at all. it's a shame that the place we come to for fun and relaxing and spending some time away from the "real world" has become a source for feeling pissed off.
Hey everyone! and I just pushed a rewrite of a part of the class that handles a lot of our database queries around the site. Basically, anytime something requests something from the database, it goes through this file. We've made some optimizations based on current technology and spent the last day testing those changes.
It's mostly focused around the BIG queries on the site (so focused around places like the forums, user shops, battle, etc) so we're hoping to see some improvements there, which means less queries that lock up the database in general. This is a pretty big deal, and a pretty big shift, but we tested on the major parts of the site so it shouldn't make things worse (crossing my fingers)
I've got our charts open to the historical view (image here) watching to see the effect of this on the queries, and then we can tweak from there.

That's awesome and I am genuinely happy progress has been made, but where's ours news post? (Or updates anywhere else like mentioned). You realize its a huge deal how angry, confused, and upset so many people are right? Not everyone is going to stumble upon a single forum post. People that don't will just continue to think they and the problems are being ignored.
Gunna throw out a ping so people can check out 's post, I know the errors have been especially frustrating in the past few hours so hopefully this ping lets some people know that progress is being made

From where I'm sitting, things seem to have improved. Except for a 502 errors earlier this morning (around the time of Keith's post), things have been going smoothly. The last couple days I got 502/504 errors on what felt like every third page or so, which definitely hasn't happend this morning. So far, anyways. Thanks for the hard work! :) Some information a little earlier than this would've been lovely but if the choice was 'communicate problem' or 'fix problem', I'd say fix the problem first, answer questions later. ;)

What about autopricing? And compensating players who have GAs only for autopricing who haven't been able to for almost 2 weeks now?
Glad to hear an update. I've had 502/504 every single time I log in the past week or so. I've come to just expect it along with randomly needing to refresh repeatedly to get a page to work. :/ I'm one of those long term loyal users so it's something I'm used to and not a huge deal because I already know I love to use the site. But I imagine any new users are probably quickly writing the site off. :/ I hope you guys are able to figure everything out!
