I also haven't had a GA in a while, but I got a notice saying I received 7 days of GA time. Except it hasn't actually done anything to my account.

I am pretty sure this is going out for everyone - my GA expired this morning and I got the second wave of alert.

Also yeah, it seems glitched and is not given to everyone. So yeah, people should go and mention that it's not working as it should

Well, it just kicked in the GA time. Still don't know if it's intentional or not but cool free GA I guess.

I think they're giving every user a free week of gold (you have a gold icon now, indicating GA.)

The way this is worded, I'm wondering if this was supposed to compensate the people who already had a GA whom were inconvenienced? Or is this just a present to everyone for having to deal with the 502s? I haven't had a GA within the last week so I'm wondering if that was meant to happen?

It seems like people who were current GA users got 14 days added to their total, and people who didn't have a GA at the time got a free 7 days.

@ Keith I had a GA active during the events, but it expired today and I only got 7 days. It literally expired within the past hour and a half. Should I create a ticket, or is this intentional?

- Thank you. The fixes and compensation/gift is a step in the right direction but please remember communication. I have no idea why you're so overly reserved about using the siteupdate ping and announcements, it's basically the opposite of what people are asking for.
