This is absolutely ridiculous. I don't even have words at this point. I'm just... I'm amazed by the complete lack of concern and customer service.
Do staff just not care at all about how the customers feel? People have been freaking out about the site potentially dying and staff don't care enough to comment. On any other site staff would be swift to come in and assure their customers that the website isn't closing. As staff keeping undue panic from sweeping through should be a huge priority and yet this topic seems to not matter at all. The concerns customers have should matter. People aren't being ridiculous by practically begging staff to keep the status site, one of the many social medias, the site news, anything updated. Now the site was down for a very significant portion of time and still staff can't be bothered to comment? How many months have the errors been almost, if not entirely for some, constant?
When is the site shutting down? I'd like to get my stuff screenshot and favorite items saved beforehand.
I had enjoyed BF with my Bathhouse CSC and felt a little better but those feelings are long gone...
Welp guys.
Was fun knowing you, because after nearly half a day of downtime without anything official said. I think the site is just kept on artificial support, now.
I also...really don't trust staff anymore. So, the lack of communication completely broke my trust, and it sucks. No matter how much we're going to be told it's going to get better, or less boring, I just....cannot believe it anymore. It was said too many times, and nothing has changed.
Maybe it's just me, but I'd like to give some credit where it's due and say that I've had pretty smooth sailing today.
I wasn't on prior to today, but looks like I missed an earlier fiasco that there definitely should have been more communication about. :(

I don't really know what's actually been worked on, but it really feels like that the captain has abandoned his ship in some way. With all that has been happening in the traditional pet site industry, staff response might be more needed than before to tone down the "rumors" a bit. I know sometimes being silent can actually boost confidence, but right now, it is really not the time to be quiet.
I want to remain positive because hell I'll have no where to go if subeta is gone (I hate the popular breeding or adoptable sites). And I know there are a lot of loyal users that will be far more positive than me. And I hope the staff won't take that loyalty for granted, otherwise, the ship might just really go down sooner or later.

I've actually taken screen shots and downloaded copies of the art I want to keep from here because of the lack of staff communication despite the userbase reaction. I've been very angry, but now I'm mostly disappointed and sad.
Will it ever get better... sure doesn't feel that way.
I've got no hopes for Lumi... I'm trying to be happy but eh... maybe it's all for the best. Subeta lasted this long... better than most. Wish we could say here's to 10+ more years but... I got nothing.
What just happened?! I completed all of my library quests, went to my inventory and everything was there. I tried to move a beanbag to my collection but it said the item doesn't exist, so I checked my inventory again and most of the items I got from the quests were gone and my quest bar said I had only completed 5/15 quests. Now it is back to saying 15/15 and the items are back.
Even while doing the quests multiple times after I clicked "Finish Quest" it said I didn't have the items necessary even though I had already bought them. I tried to complete the quest again and it would work after another one or two tries.
Was there a mini-rollback? (... then a roll-forward?) Pretty frustrating.

same stuff was happening to me too. like it got stuck on a cache or something.
knocks on screen Anyone home? Users here would like to know why the site still continues to flounder despite reassurances of server changes and other pushes being the answer then we go down the same rabbit hole again.
Pretty sure there are still major caching issues at play since yesterday's downtime. For most of Fireside, I've had no problems with feeding my pets massive quantities of food, but since, I've rarely seen them hungry past a point or two.
I'm hoping that things are still being worked on, but I've pretty much been off playing 2048 and watching television. shrug
- we're still very much trucking along in the Creative Department (Luminaire awaits!). I haven't personally had continuous errors for a while now, so I haven't been able to personally point out where and when they're happening anymore. It seems like different people are getting different errors (which makes things hard to pinpoint/fix, I assume) - but I'm afraid I don't have a lot of the answers you're looking for. I know that Keith is testing things a lot, I'm often asked to help if I'm around and not REALLY busy (rare).
Is there any way you'd be able to ask someone else to step in who does have information to give, or are you not allowed / not high enough in staff to do that?
I think people just want some information. Without it, so much fear is spreading it's insane. I'm actually shocked by staff's nonchalant attitude through this. =/ It seems like only people with NO information are showing up to explain they can't give an explanation.
If Keith is supposedly doing all this work why is the status site never accurate? Why does the news entirely ignore problems over and over while urging us to spend more money? Why is there no information anywhere?
I'm sorry but I'm done believing staff without proof.

I don't know about anyone else but having people post hi idk what is going on but don't worry is adding fuel to the fire. :'D
I don't want to be rude, but are you telling us you didn't experience that 7 hour downtime the other day? Really?
... What? What about the 7 hours+ downtime where we only had a blank page? and the random 502/504 for no reason when we are less than 600 users online? As for "different errors" ... we are ALL getting 502, 504 and soon we are going to get the entire alphabet. I don't get it. Like you're amazing for giving us "informations" but we need to know what the hell is going on.
It is extra sad that there are a few people on staff, even a few volunteers, who obviously still care so much about this site. But the people responsible for keeping the site functional and communicating with the user base and even the person who actually owns the site are not responsive at all and have made it obvious that isn't changing any time soon.
Please don't take your frustrations out on staff members who are trying to be helpful. We may not have the specific information you're looking for at the time you're asking for it, but that doesn't mean that we're purposefully trying to be vague, and it certainly doesn't mean we're abandoning you. We are a staff of ~20 people, the vast majority of whom are part time, and have pretty specific duties. People who do artwork for us, or answer your tickets, or release site content just DON'T have the technical answers that you're looking for.
I will admit that I'm frustrated to see posts about the "staff at whole" going silent or "abandoning the site". I think that's an unfair generalization. We release new content just about every day. In order to do that, our artists are working consistently. We've fought through the frustrations of the technical difficulties of the site to continue to provide regular site events, special events, and to continue to try out new features where appropriate. Our customer service team claims and responds to tickets 7 days a week. We work hard to allocate the money you spend to pay our bills to keep the site running, to fund improvements where we can, and to pay our staff fairly for their work.
That being said - we all take days off. When issues pop up, sometimes the staffers that are on are not the staffers that can actually solve the problem. We have systems in place to get those people contacted, but on a Saturday morning of a holiday weekend...sometimes we drop the ball and can't make those systems work as quickly as we'd like them to. We apologize, we try to get better, and we try to keep going forward. All of the measures we have in place to give you guys information - the status site, social media, the news - all still have to be physically updated by one of us, and as much as we'd like to be perfect in doing all of that in sync, in a timely manner, and with as many specifics as we can, it's still a work in progress. We understand that's disappointing and frustrating for a lot of you who can visualize things working much better, but that's the reality. We're not perfect - we're not even great most of the time - but we're trying, we're listening, and each of us is doing what we can within the scope of our skills and our duties to the site (and to you).
We have made the decision to lock this thread. We are beyond the scope of "feedback" at this point, and some of the responses are bordering on being in violation of the community guidelines. As new information about the technical failures we have been experiencing are made available, they will be communicated to you.
