We need someone who can make the relevant financial decisions and allocate resources where necessary; with Keith currently removed from the process, this seems like a big roadblock.
I thought it was part of Carol's tasks, surprised to see that it actually isn't. D:
Carol is also someone that imo, is really involved with the site, we just don't see her as much in public.

It is, I am, I do. :)
Question: why is a facebook script of some sort or another running on Subeta now? The Subeta facebook plugin/addon/what-have-you has been discontinued as far as I remember, so why is this still here?
I only noticed because a page was loading forever because of it. Noscript axed it, site works relatively smoothly after. : /
[edit] Seems like the crazy Firefox memory load has been back for about 2-3 days now. Not sure if Subeta or the latest Firefox update, but it only really goes loco when I have several quest tabs open.
And 502/504s again today (Nov 23rd).
So, once again the site is down for HOURS with no update, nothing on the Status Site until minutes before the site comes back up.
I can't believe that staff thinks this is still acceptable. Why do we even have a status page if it doesn't get used?
I know it's a holiday weekend, but that was an incredibly long time with no acknowledgement of anything being wrong.
I'm raging right now. SIX HOURS without news? How is that even possible? Is there no one that can reach the programmer's and wake them up if the site is down? And update facebook, twitter, status site on what's happening? How many times do we need to ask this?
Resolved - This incident has been resolved. Nov 26, 13:06 EST Identified - The issue has been identified and a fix is being implemented. Nov 26, 13:05 EST Investigating - We are currently investigating this issue. Nov 26, 13:04 EST
This shows to me that it only took 2 minutes to fix the site. Why didn't you do that six hours ago?
~ 6 hours of downtime without a single report/news about what happened. Is it because it was Thanksgiving or something? [edit] I'm getting worried about Luminaire. Like ... a lot.
I wish I could say I was surprised when I couldn't find any update after hours of downtime, but I can't say that I was.
If the site is down, the site is down. It happens. An update on twitter/facebook saying "We know there is a problem and we are working on it" is all I would like from staff.
SELL ME FOOD PLS? 🡺 CLICK HERE 🡸6 hours? I am told it was down as early as 5:30 am. That is a lot more than 6 hours. People need to stop dumping their money down the drain until something is resolved.
@ Georgie
I'm not sure exactly when the site went down, but the last post on the problems and bugs page for 50# errors was at 6:40am subeta time.
However, it was pretty unplayable for hours before that because the errors were almost constant.
Must be it came back up for a few minutes at least (though that would still be over 6 hours). Thanks for the info.
Yeah I have to admit, I'm kind of miffed about this. The site being down is one thing, it happens (though it taking 2 minutes to fix it when it was down for 6 hours is not something I want to hear; maybe get some other timezoned people in on the 'being able to fix things' wagon, huh?), but to hear nothing about it? Not during the downtime and not after. 6 hours is a long time for a site to be down, especially considering there are probably a lot of people who could only play during that time. I know Keith has said a few times 'this is just a US based site, deal with it' (essentially), but we're still paying users (some of us)... If Sony said 'we're a Japanese based company, so if the site does down when we're asleep here, just deal with it', there'd be hell to pay... Maybe they're discussing how to deal with it (extend GA's/fireside?), but... A little announcement in the forum they have just for that about how they're working on it would be nice...
Eh, most of my money ends up going down the drain, it usually goes through my gut though... Honestly, how many of the staff even have the access to the official FB and Twitter? It's a holiday in the US, perhaps those who had the rights just weren't available.

Why do you refuse to utilize the status site and then ignore the issues when people tell you about them? It may as well not even exist.
So about that outage this morning...
I checked the status site. Nothing was listed. The last update was November 11th. It seems like the status site is turning into Subeta covering their rump by "Did you check the status site? YOU SHOULD HAVE LOOKED."

Looks like EA is getting my Black Friday money instead of Subeta...
throws cash in air
Thanks for making my decision easy this morning, SubetaTeam! In the 6 hours I could have been playing here, I played The Sims instead and decided that I could use some more expansions for when your site is down again next time.
sorry, not sorry
The irony and saddest part is that we get incredible downtime with absolutely no answer but we get cash shop items shortly after.
Give your money to the site, don't ask question and don't expect much. But please spend! :c
I think the items were planned to be released today before the downtime.
