My mate asked me what a VCR was. I'm only 26 (next week)

Dealing with the highschoolers I work with. I'm a supervisor. In my department I personally only have one, but there are quite a few in another department. I feel like we should have things in common with each other but at the same time I'm always thinking they think I'm a crazy older lady (I'm only 29 haha).
When I walked outside a bit ago and the cold hurt lol..It isn't the same when you're a kid

When I was playing pokemon, the fact there were people who had only started when they played like Unova/Black&white which was 5 years ago, I started playin like almost 16 years ago. T w T It just reminds me not everyone's practically been there since the start......

Lol, I got reminded of how young I am when I went on a date with someone a little older and he was discussing his house mortgage and career and I was sitting across the table thinking how childish I am. I share an apartment with a roommate and it just seems like I'm so far away from starting my career. I'm 21.
Yesterday when my bf was talking to his bff about things that happend 15 years ago and I said i was still in school :P
My hub and I found ourselves staying out of town for work, but at a resort with an incredible arcade; they had everything you could imagine ... regular arcade games but then all of the carnival games, all the casino games, the kinds of driving games where you ride in a car that moves, and video games that were intense shoot em ups. They had mini-bowling, air hockey, glo golf, and laser tag. We took a night to play at the arcade and the young people who ran the ticket counter "just loved us older folks!!" We were "so young at heart!" We wanted to object to their characterization of us, but I had a hot flash in front of them and had to sit down; my hub just glared at me for proving them right! LOL
when all my students are asking what I think of J Cole...and I'm like, "who?"
When I tried to explain to my niece that a Simba plush was not Kion from the Lion Guard and she wouldn't believe me. I seriously need to have a talk with her mom about watching more Disney movies lol

I get told I look younger constantly.
I had been seeing a doctor for 4 years and every time we talked she said 'Wow, you don't look old enough to have kids that old'. She was also my children's doctor because they were too old for the pediatrician. I found a new doctor because after 5 patients over 4 years (some of us clumsier than others), you'd think she would remember us.
two days ago, while at the check-in at the airport, the guy had my passport open in front of him and still asked how i old i was i just don't look like an adult lmao
Last weekend, when I wasn't carded for a six pack of beer. :( I'm only 24!

When I announced that I was having a girl. I'm too old to be pregnant and having a baby!

Every time I hear about the drama and shenanigans my younger coworkers are up to, I'm vividly reminded that I'm slowly approaching my 30s and I'm turning into a disapproving mom-type. "He's 24 and doing what??? He's just a baby he shouldn't be involved in things like that!!" D:
That sounds like wonderfully fun night... except for the hot flash.
I was told by my airplane seatmate that I do not look my age. We had been discussing the cold weather we were flying home to. She said that when I get older I will really start to feel it. I told her my age and said I already do. She was surprised.
When I stepped out of the airport into that bitter cold my body let me know that yep, I'm old! :)
RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.

(I hope I did that right, because I haven't "replied" to anyone yet directly in these forums, blushes, which does age me right here and now! ROFL)
It was a fun night ... totally unexpected. I always feel the cold! The only way around it, for me, is to dress in layers ... between the hot flashes and the feeling of the cold, I wear more clothes now just to have what to take off. ;) I try very hard not to let myself be negative about it too much though ... the hub had a harder time being called "that nice older couple" (snort) than I did, and I laugh every time I think about it. I recommend both layers and joie de vivre for aging. :D
I dress in layers too, but no matter how many I put on, the cold always makes me hurt.
I always try to live a positive life as best I can, and laughter is a big help for that. I will always be young at heart. :)
I hope you have a wonderful and happy, healthy New Year. :)
