Hopefully Surivial will start tomorrow. Since it's Valentines Day and conveniently the beginning of the week. I was hoping it would start Friday.

I kind of wish we had a zombie quest giver.

A zombie Quest giver would be awesome! I was hoping it was going to start this weekend too, I hope it will tomorrow. I am so excited for it.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up in terms of is starting imminently (that way I'm either right or pleasantly surprised, instead of just frustrated), but I keep checking the last page of Item Directory to see if anything's been added (to no avail).

The problem I guess would be its quest shop, which would probably be full of zombie items, which we have a whole holiday dedicated too.

I tend to forget that the Item Directory exists. That's a good idea though.

I heard it usually starts on the 15th, maybe 14th! So excited. But also so busy for school so we'll see how that goes.

Fair enough; it's pretty useless most of the time. But the item-adding this is useful for me, since they tend to add things in a few hours before the event officially starts. I'm usually offline for the night by the time the news post goes out, but I can get a look at the items before I leave, so I don't feel too bad about having to wait until the next day to participate.

Looks like we'll have to wait til Monday. Nothing ever starts on a Sunday.

Yeah, that is true. I'd just like to be able to do quests for a zombie. xD

My local supermaket has switched straight to Easter stuff. No discounted Valentines goodies at all!

Has everyone worked out which zombie strain they're going for first (provided we're still doing the VIP thing this year)? I'm going for Lobster Face first while I wait to see what any new strains develop into.

Mine started putting Easter out last week and usually keep things out until they can sell them.

I'm going for the new strains right away. I like the surprise. If we do VIP then I think I'm going to go for Virus, Blistered Hearts, or Crack Head. I haven't decided yet. Carchari is cool too.

I'm pretty sure I saw some Easter stuff back in January, but since it's now the next major holiday thing, they're going all out.

I wish I liked last years lot more. I have Death Slug since it seemed the most usable of them all, but the others are either super gross or just plain weird. Carchari is a case in point: I like the idea, but it's so awkward. How would I ever use it?

A lot of them are difficult to use. I had Bubble Jelly last year and Bindi Bite the year it came out. I think the tattered kinds of clothing help. I think they're fun to play around with though. I also like to collect things too.

I even have trouble with the skins that don't have stuff sticking out of them. I've never made anything I liked with the Lace skin.

The lace skin is a pain in the butt to use. I can't ever make an avi I like with it.

It's a fine line between the urge to collect everything and "value for money". A lot of the skins in general are a bit difficult to use, so I'd rather pick something that's more amenable to HA making. Not that it matters greatly; I usually forget skins are there at all, of they just aren't relevant to what I'm trying to do with my HA. I think Blistered Hearts is the only one I've used since last year (but it was my first choice, so that makes sense).

It is. I never see anyone use it. I was wondering maybe it wouldn't be so bad if it were in a natural tone, instead of that gray-blue color. Like some sort of henna. It's expensive to get a hold of too.

I don't use them a whole lot either.

I think that would be a better color for it. I keep thinking I can make it snow leopard-y, but it doesn't quite work.

Yiss! New stuff turned up in the item directory! Some seriously great wearables this year! Especially the wigs!

They are lovely though. I love the truffle skirts.
