Conversations are difficult!

Had to do some voting today. Some people want our city (and surrounding area) to have an elected mayor (in addition to the ceremonial one we already have), because they're under the impression that having the leader of the council selected by the whole community rather than other councillors (who themselves are democratically elected) will make wonderful things happen in the comunity. Faintly ridiculous. I'm not too invested either way, but I voted against it. All the literature in favour was so wishy-washy and naive.

So the people elected officials and the officials elect the mayor but they want another mayor directly elected by the people?

Something like that, although I'm not clear on the selection process for the ceremonial mayor (or why anyone bothers with one). Not that it matters anyway: results came in 79% against having an elected mayor (albeit with a fairly dismal voter turnout of 29%), so everything carries on as normal.

Aw, crap. I discovered the alchemy thing. I managed to resist until now.

Trying to pick my free costume trunk is tough! I've got a list of seven possibilities already.

I feel you. I love alchemy, and I'm so happy there's going to be more new things throughout the year. However, it does mean the demand for alchemy components isn't going to disappear like it does for most of the year, so it's going to be a lot tougher to stock up.

I like the idea of them, but there isn't one I -LOVE-, so I am hesitant on using up one of my one week GAs on one (and it of course happened the day after my last GA expired)

Yeah, it's midterms for me so I'm also out most of the time. I'm leaning towards the Crime Boss trunk just because I'd actually use MOST of the items instead of just a few (and I already have the Vintage Eyeliner, so there's most of the appeal of that trunk). Still haven't checked out most of them though.

I could never do alchemy before since this was my first Survival, but now I'm just going to hoard whatever tokens/cards/etc I get from quests. Restocking is not my forte.

Just got back from celebrating my mom's 60th birthday today! I hope everyone's weekend has been going well!

They ARE Cute, and they know it haha. He's about 2 1/2. He's a little adventurer/dare devil. Constantly making me think I may have a heart attack. He likes to scare himself. So he'll do things like let himself put his feet on a ledge and let himself feel like he's going to fall, and then catch himself before he does.. Luckily, the bird bath was just a accident, he was using it to help him walk on a ledge, and it wasn't attached to the base and he fell over, spilling the water all over him. At least it wasn't too cold out!
