I really appreciate the update on the situation. As impatient as I am to see what I got (curiosity is not my friend), I also understand that these kinds of things happen. Anyone blaming you Grelca can go eat lemons. Thanks for all the hard work you're putting into rectifying this, and try to get some sleep.

Ok I normally don't say anything to what goes on around the site simply because I don't play as often anymore but every year since I started playing (roughly 3 christmas' ago), however every year the trees are always an issue. Whether it be from everyone piling on to get their gifts at the same time, or the server crashing, or not anticipating the amount of traffic due to the number of items suddenly appearing to people. You guys should be more than capable of executing the tree gifting event properly by now. If the event is such a huge problem then simply take it off the site. It actually might save the servers a ton of grief and allow them to live a little longer down the road. I'm not saying subeta staff don't try hard enough, but if it's such a problem like I said, just remove it completely. I am perfectly fine with the regular gifting system, or you could make changes to the tree event so that only a certain number of gifts can be given to one user. Or plan the tree event months in advance so you guys are well prepared for it.

No worries, crap happens. :) It sucks, but we'll make it through. If not, maybe you'll have enough coal under your tree to last you a lifetime. ;) Hopefully your holidays weren't ruined and you enjoyed yourself.

You can blame yourself for lack of updates if you weren't here though. I think most everyone would have just preferred a "We have to wait on someone to get back from holiday, loads of craptastic things happened and we just won't know for about a week" rather than "we're working on it and we'll get you some news soon" and then radio silence for a couple of days. Masses don't do well with radio silence. :)

I'm just glad to see everyone will at least get their items and we were able to avoid a roll-back with your hard work when you get home. Thank you.

the few users who had dissapeared from my gift given page actually reappeared this last hour so i can see what I sent them now. Does this mean that the gifts will still be shown to be anon? Probably but i am happy at least that I can what I sent and let them know. Im happy.

as a person that gave out all the gifts on dec. 24 I find this news post painful ;u;

but thank you for your hard work and during the holidays no less, nobody is blaming you as this is a massive site event to be placed on the shoulders of one person only, we hope that going forward the event is better organized that's all.

as pointed out to me, the gifts given page is working again (for who knows what reason) all the people who were missing on mine are now back!

then it might be a good tool for those that are concerned :D

Kewl. Yea my list was fine when I just looked. Someone said maybe the people that had the stocking issue may have lost theirs. IDK but mine was there still. I just copied it and pasted it in word so if anyone I gifted during that time really wants to know what I gave them. I also had my side list too.

I was missing from everyones list that gifted me lol because i had the stocking glitch. EDIT: grelca did just say she was adding stuff back so maybe she fixed the ones before the 20th

Yea thats what Ive been hearing. Those without the stocking glitch are okay as far as lists go. But those that had it, the information was lost :(

I think this is one of those shitty situations that shows us the true meaning of Christmas.

The only thing worth giving more thought is that there is no log data after the 20th. I would have thought that with the many crashes and data corruption and well, things that went wrong in the past Subeta would log more thoroughly.

So did everyone already have open tree presents/stockings? Because I didn't have no glitch announcement on the side, and I haven't had any notification showing what gifts I had..

The suspense is killing me to know what I got from everyone :C

I did 90% of my lumi shopping on the 21/22 :( Well, I shall hope my gifts given page is still correct!
