That's entirely fair. It was just a thought, but interest is a nice feature when you're first starting out. Granted even tiering vault interest could be easily abused by only leaving a certain amount of sp in your vault at any one time. Getting rid of interest is definitely the best idea, and that would be one fewer source of extra sp in the economy.
If interest is done away with, then quests should definitely still be fairly profitable at least for the near future. You'd actually have to work for the sp, which a lot of people just don't have time for on a daily basis.
i don't know how 'quests' and 'work for' ended up together in the same sentence. you're essentially buying things from the shop search and turning them in for profit

With all the recent changes (including the number of quests, adding the SS buy button, removing haggling, adding the 'X is in your shop) is questing really all that strenous?
Nope. It's free sP, quite similar to bank interest to me. Subeta sadly doesn't have an (obvious) interactive way to make sPs, outside of the few games.

ia but Subeta really has no systems outside of high level battling and some games that would really qualify as 'work'. The entire site is structured as a giant game of Cookie Clicker.
ETA: beat me to it
battling wouldn't even qualify as it doesn't really generate sP in a way that you could do it daily.
Damn, I love Cookie Clicker for some reason.

Nah, but battling can at least require a little bit of thought and strategy beyond what questing or vending demands, though.
idk I just get really invested in game mechanics, man. I want more interesting stuff from Subeta.
if you start awarding (a decent amount of) sP for battling, people will want sP from making pretty outfits.
oh I know what you mean. Subeta isn't too battle oriented though, or not near enough to make it a source of income for the general population. It really lacks interactive features though. I think they are really limited by resources and anything that requires programming is basically not happening

So much of Subeta's issues go back to the lack of programmers for the site. It's really a bummer. :(
I guess you have a point there. idk, I never actually participate in those.
i want sP for posting my opinions on the forums again D:
If it weren't for wiz quests I would be so unhappy making sp. I rarely have time to do every quest but if I need sp I can usually find the time to do the ten or fifteen of those. I can actually count on those rewards unlike the other quests. I really don't want them to change.
Wizard's rewards should be tokens, and tokens alone. If there was a single quest I wanted to remove SP from, it def. would be the Wizard, because getting up to three different currency from one quest might be overkill.
I don't quest enough to have an opinion on how much profit they hand out, but I'd be totally fine with seeing bank interest done away with if it's generating that much excess sp.
Nope. Literally the only reason I still play on a semi regular basis is because I have a goal of getting to 10 billion pure. If I wasn't able to do that anymore I would have zero interest in the site because I can buy up everything to finish the collections I'm interested in and then I'd be done. Completely done. Not a good plan.

I disagree with 's assertion CSC is too inflated. The price is about right given how I see the economy of Subeta right now.
I don't have an opinion about the rest of this.
I wouldn't say that. I think quests have been awarding 2-3 million a day for as long as I can remember. Except 5 years ago, it would essentially take 3 to 4 days of savings to buy 500 CSC. Now it's 10 to 15 days.
If one thing has inflated way past the rest, it is CSC. There's a much higher demand now and it's hard to say anything about the supply since we don't have that information.
I'm not saying before was better. I'm saying.. this is how things are, it /has/ changed.

I actually like where you're going with this. There are a lot of features that currently cost CSC that I think could be switched to sP for a few reasons. One, they aren't actually profit drivers (that is mostly collections + delish + CWs) and don't get a ton of traffic / purchases. I'm interested to see how much they'd be used if we made them cost sP.
I also think customization is a good route to get some sP out of the system as well. Custom user icons are a cute idea (and something we toyed with ages ago as a CS feature!) as well as custom titles.

Taxes on shop search and no bank interest are a good idea.
There's other things like getting rid of the 25 CSC to autotrain and put an 500K-800K sP fee instead (25 CSC is 1.25m by current prices). I don't really know what drives profit the most and what doesn't, but there's a lot of mini features like that, and while it's good that some of them are sold for CSC because money, others could regulate the economy if they cost sP.
It changes nothing for the end user, it's not more expensive, even probably less expensive. It drives some money away from Subeta, but the point isn't to have everything switched to sP, only a few things.
