(Wow I really want to get active in here. So...wassup? Who's who?)

She pulled her Defense Against the Dark Arts book from her bag, then set the text across the coffee table to study.

"I haven't gone to the Defense class yet," she admitted to Gaia. "I'm hoping I can research it first, in case Professor Valdez pulls out real inferi." She shivered at the thought, then gasped when she opened the page to Chapter 13: Charmed Skeletons and Inferius and found a gruesome photo of what might have been a woman once.

Elune took a break from her reading to spot entering the common room. She waved toward the entrance, then beckoned the girl over.

"Er, hi, I'm Elune," she smiled. "That's a lovely owl you have. What's its name?"

Gaia giggles at the battle cry attempt with fire. "I think we should do that more often!" Gaia sees the book on the table and groans. "I haven't done mine either. I even forgot to pack my book AND parchment this morning. I need to start getting my assignments done!"

Turning to the new student Elune was talking to Gaia waves @ rinoa "Hello! I am Gaia. I love your owl; Ares, my owl is somewhere around. Would you like a chocolate frog?" Gaia added with a cheeky grin.

Stifling a massive yawn, Fade wandered down the stairs from the boys dormitory and into the common room with his bengal cat Chase underfoot. “Hey guys.” He half smiled at the group and found a seat in a comfy chair. He landed with a plop and let out a sigh. Chase meanwhile wandered over to and sniffed at her robes, before turning to look wide-eyed up at ’s owl. Fade glanced between the two and then to with an inquisitive look on his face. “Sorry if this is rude, but I don’t think I have seen you two around here before… ” Subtly his pastel-ish blue hair darkened slightly, but it was very hard to tell, perhaps it was the light playing tricks.

Gaia notices the slight change in Fade's hair. "FADE!!!! I was thinking about you. I need help deciding on my outfit for the ball!" Gaia gives a knowing smile and chuckles throwing some lemon candies at Fade. "Hi Chase, I have a treat for you too. I have not forgotten your favorite, fish sticks from the Great Hall!"

“Oh, OK.” Fade scratched his head wondering just how helpful he could possibly be. He could see his opinion possibly getting him into trouble. Catching a lemon candy he eyed it skeptically and sniffed it a few times before popping it into his mouth.

Chase perked up at the sound of his name. Circling Gaia‘s legs he meowed up at her impatiently. Fade frowned at him and even attempted to scold him slightly. “Chase, quit begging would ya?” Chase ignored him entirely and meowed at again, only much longer and more pained causing Fade to roll his eyes. “Dude acts like I don’t feed him ever…”

Gaia grins at the interaction. Petting Chase she gives him the fish. "You know Fade, you don't need to be so harsh on Chasey-boo" at that Gaia looks at the kitty and does a purring sound "He is quite the charmer and I have from good authority great with the lady cats around." Gaia laughs and looks at Fade. "So purple or blue? I think red is too much for our first ball. Thoughts?"

The way said our made Fade blush slightly. His hair threatened to go pink, but he consciously fought it off and instead focused on purple and blue. “Really I think it should be up to you.” He chewed his lip slightly. “But if I had to pick…” His hair fluctuated between blue and purple and finally settled on a vibrant violet hue. “I think purple is nice… Not too housey, you know?” Sure he liked the navy colors of the Ravenclaw house, but the ball wasn’t a Quidditch game, they didn’t have to wear blue all the time. Thinking about the dancing lesson they would no doubt be made to take up, Fade became somewhat fidgety and began picking at a loose thread sticking out from the arm of his chair.

Chase gobbled down the fish sticks and circled Gaia’s legs impatient for more treats.

"AAAAHHHHH" Gaia points excitedly at Fade and giggles " I love purple! Your hair is the most fashion forward thing on the planet! I think purple would be nice. I mean I could always charm my dress to change colors? You think that would be fun or you know doable?" Gaia gives Chase the last fish stick and pauses to ponder something. "You knoooooow maybe we can get others in on the color debate. I mean we could all use different colors and be a rainbow in the ball!" Gaia giggles a little and thinks of her friends. "Any ideas for the ball?"

Rin looked up from the book in her hands. "Huh? Oh, yeah, sure." Closing her book, she hastily tucked it in her bag. "You can keep the card, though."

She smiled at sheepishly. "I'm around, honest. I sleep here...most of the time. I just like to hole up in the library or the more empty corners of the castle."

Gaia squeals excitedly. "Another Ravenclaw! YEEEAAAHHHH That makes 1,458 of them! Mom doesn't like my hoard of cards but I am a proud being!" Gaia stashes the card away and hands the chocolate to Rin. "CAW CAW" all of a suddent gaia bursts out laughing from scaring everyone in the common room and between giggles she manages to say "That is... our battle... cry!"

Rin accepted the squirming frog, wide-eyed, and gave it a little squeeze to stop its struggles. "And that...is why I usually hide."

Gaia stared at Rin for a while. "What do you mean that is why you hide?"

"Because people are unpredictable and I don't like it." Rin admitted. She took a bite out of her chocolate from. "I'm sorry if that was rude. I think it might have been."

Gaia looked at the ceiling for a moment and then looked at Rin. "I'm sorry. I didn't know. I can be a little out there at times. I am also loud and like to offer people food. It is okay if you don't like it I can be quieter when you are around. The most important thing to me is that everyone is able to be themselves around me." with that Gaia sat on the floor and looked for Wade and Chase to give them treats. Gaia looks up at Rin and smiles.

Rin smiled and took another bite of the frog. She walked over to one of the empty couches and plopped down. She pulled her book from her bag again, very distinctly muggle with its bright blue cover, and opened it again.

"Oh, I don't believe we have. It's nice to meet you," Elune murmured to Fade, then extended her hand. She blushed when she noticed his hair change color as they shook hands.

"That purple really suits you," she continued. She watched as Chase swiftly scurried around the couch and felt relief that Salmon-guise, her seagull, was away catching food. She hoped that he would contain himself around a nearly-wild cat.

Then, Elune turned toward Rin and Gaia, who had ceased their conversation.

"It's really refreshing to have you here," she exclaimed, whilst facing . "I figured Ravenclaw would be the quiet house, what with all the studying, but I love that you're so friendly and outgoing. Maybe it will rub off on the rest of us. I know I could use some confidence..."

She spotted Rin's () book and wondered what she was reading.

"We're just relaxing, Harper, although I wouldn't mind a quick recommendation on ball-gowns." She cast "Wingardium Leviosa", and a wizarding dress catalogue floated down the stairs.

"What do you think of these?" She exclaimed, pointing her wand at a few moving portraits of witches twirling around, flashing all angles of their dresses. "I really like some of the cosmic dresses, although I wonder if some are a bit too dramatic." (or maybe this for a cover on a simpler dress)

() "Did someone say outfits!" At that Gaia perked up and jump from the floor almost bumping Harper off balance. "Sorry" Gaia muttered while turning to "Thank you! I am very outspoken. I guess I have a colorful personality and can be passionate about things. I take after my dad in that sense." Gaia laughed a little and grin to her friends. "Let's see then; who needs my help? Fashion is my fifth name; you know after Gaia there is Foo-Lover-Owl-Obsessed-Fashion. Pretty name ain't?" Then takes a breath. "These are all good choices!" Gaia turns to Elude "tell me do you want to have everyone stop and stare or make a quiet but powerful statement with your outfit?" Gaia goes off to her room looking for magazines of muggle and witch fashion. "While you think I will go get my magazines!" Gaia calls back as she disappears up the stairs.
