Thanks for listening to us Keith, this is certainly one of Subeta's strengths.
I'm just going to chime in here and say that I like many others thought that there would be 10 winners.5 in the Den and 5 in the Parlor. I was disappointed that the bedroom BG didn't get picked, nor did the shark item.A couple of items that I did like did win though.
Like a good neighbor, stay over there!

I am glad to see more winners at least ^-^
But I still wish all the facial items art could be put to use (and to Subeta's profit, especially since staff already put in the time to judge them)...
Still, I'm happy we get at least a few facial items c: That smile is going to be so great for evil HAs!
I'm actually really disappointed that they decided to push through the facial items as winners when in fact non-facial items could've been the next four winners...

Because I'm curious to know this too. 😔 It's nice that subeta suddenly decided to add more items to winners circle, all facial items, but that's not how voting worked. The voting wasn't separate so why were the winners?
Yea kinda sucks for the people whose items may have actually won, until staff decided to change how everything worked. Bad decisions, like usual.
Yeah really. I was gonna add this to my other post but I'll just say it in this post:
in all honestly, just because some people were upset that more facial items didn't win- too bad so sad? That just means the majority of the userbase didn't like the face items as much as the others? This should not have been an excuse to boost the "winning" face items especially if there were other items that received more votes. Like I said, it was too late to be adding categories, and the voting wasn't separated by categories so why are the winners?
If the face items that won were the next true winners in line, then that's perfectly fine and I have no qualms and I'll shut up. Otherwise, that's not really fair to the people who actually received more votes than them. :/
(and before anyone thinks anything... My ugly submission died before voting occurred so I'm not complaining just to be complaining for myself or anything)
i really hope that it was the overall winners and they didn't screw this up again. it's not difficult to be fair in the contest. just rank all items by votes. if the staff only looked at the facial items, then they also need to give a prize to next 4 overall winners (no categories taken in consideration). this is ridiculous. i really try to give them the benefit of the doubt. :( anyways thank u staff for allowing 4 more winners.
If possible, can we see a vote distribution for all the items? :)
As disappointed as I was that no facial features won initially, I think that fault lies more with the submitters who sent in the recolors.
I know personally I really like the sweater with the lips, which had 2 recolors. I voted for one but some people probably probably voted for the other version, cauding both to be less likely to win.
I hope that the staff didn't simply pick the top four facial features just because people were upset that those items didn't make the cut. Hopefully the third times the charm and these kinks are worked out
any chance you are considering altering the CW rules to allow the types of items that were allowed in this contest?
No. Nooo.
This would cause so much more drama. Subeta's community doesn't need any more help with that. D:

good thing ppl can just submit these items normally unlike facial features right

good thing that's completely irrelevant in terms of who might have really got more votes right?
it's weird how people think that just because those items were facial features, they are more deserving to be presented as "winners", even if there was a chance that another item got more votes than them.
If there was someone else with a non-face item who would have been winner after the first batch, too bad for them right? Because the fact that eyes and mouths can't be submitted as CWs automatically means they get to skip over anyone else and be considered winners. Right...

That doesn't make it fair though? If I had submitted something and placed 7 to 10 in voting, but didn't win because other people submitted facial items which got less votes, I think I'd be a little confused.
I'm soo happy they added 4 more winners. Thank you. I wanted pretty much all of the face items submitted.
no, but the fact that in the future it's going to be more categorized does. What better way to set a precedent and suppress a small "riot" than by starting now :)
Though I still don't understand the problem to begin with, other than maybe people hoping their favourite was or just wanting more, I'm happy to see staff react so positively and swiftly. Kudos, props and all that.
I'm not even going to thank them for this if it turns out that the face items that won were not all in fact the 7-10th winners of the contest.
Admittedly, I never expected 10 winners as it was technically never stated that there would be 10 winners, however, I don't think "be glad we even made it 10 winners after all" is a good excuse. And "well unlike the other items, these can't be CWs" is probably the worst excuse. That mentality should convince the userbase to vote for them and it did for those that did vote for them. However, it's clear that the majority of users would rather have affordable CWs than the ability to have a wearable that can't be released as a CW for the sake of having it on site.

Categories are good, when the voting will be separated by categories and the winners will be separated by categories. However, the problem is the fact that the voting wasn't categorized but the winners were. Suddenly this new "face" category pops up and overrides anyone else who would have won next.
If someone on staff would step forward and say that the face items that won were indeed the next in line to win and no one who had more votes got skipped, I'll shut up.
But by the news post saying
It's not unfair. Presumably, the only way we were getting 4 more winners/items is if there was a reason to, such as the outcry for facial features. I'm also gonna go ahead and guess that the facial features in general got a majority of the vote but that they were just split up due to sheer quantity. Either way it doesn't matter.
