The only thing off-limits for CW artists are eyes and lips. So contests are the only avenue to make lips and eyes.

You can submit anything that is a normal item you can submit as a CW. You cannot, however, submit any facial features (eyes, lips) - as we are still not allowed to submit those to the site as CWs.

It was mentioned in the initial announcement that we could submit them for the contest even though we cannot normally submit them. We would all like to see this changed, but there is still some nonsense argument from staff about why we can't (I don't even remember what it is but I'm pretty sure its "no no then you won't buy our CS facial features that are crap 80% of the time").

I'm not at all bitter about that hahahaha.

Also - I'm with 90% of the people I've seen post on all threads - I expected 10 winners. The way Keith worded things when discussing the sP prize and the fact that we were given up to 10 votes indicated we'd see 10 items win. For Pekaboo we were told that there would be 3 winning items, we were given 5 votes, and they ended up giving us 10 items. Honestly this would've made a great sP sink - the amount of sP given to 10 winners negligible compared to the amount of sP likely spent buying items for closets and TCs. I'm also surprised that between all the news comments and people saying what they voted for, that a few things coughsharkcough didn't win - but maybe its because we only got 6 instead of 10.

Most of the submitted eyes were not makeup though - it was specifically the eyes themselves. And you cannot submit lips/lipstick.

Two things irritate me about this contest 1.) 10 votes but only 6 winners. What was the point of 4 extra votes? 2.) Only 2 went into the Parlor, 4 into the Den. Seems uneven to me.

Other than that the contest was cool and I loved 90% of the entries. Thanks for offering the prizes in the CS for us non-artists.

I would however, go balls out on like 80% of the facial features in the contest which is a win/win/win foreverone, yeh? We get more face items, staff can focus on more stuff than wears (moar pets and plots and consumables and restockables in general!), and the site gets money.

PLUS when these CW events go down people won't bog them down with just makeups and stuff. CW facial features = unicorns and rainbows.

I mean I am glad somethings will (hopefully) start popping up for CWage (I'll head there this weekend, if I don't just try and direct CS it because I'm lazy) but ugh, those eyes man. My kingdom for some of them ;n;

Exactly - I would spend even more than I already spend, which is of course out of control as it is but I also know a lot of people who don't spend so much who would buy CSC for good facial feature CWs.

I can't even begin to understand how people can be upset by there being 10 votes and 6 winners. There's absolutely no reason that those numbers would need to be the same, besides which it was said many times that they weren't sure how many winners they were going to choose in the end. To "riot" over that is rather ridiculous.

If we could all vote 10 times there should've been 10 winners. That's what I assumed by what I read. Honestly, if I'd known there would only be 6 winners I wouldn't have even bothered with voting on 4 "extra".

Should've been divided evenly 5 in the Zombie Den and 5 in L'Amour Parlor. That, would've been fair. If someone didn't use all of their votes, then that shouldn't matter.

I don't think people are upset about there being fewer winners in itself, but saying "you get ten votes!" does kind of imply "ten winners!" if you don't say otherwise? Like, yeah, obviously it's not the same as saying "there will be ten winners!" and then only picking six, but I don't think it's unreasonable for people to have thought there would be ten chosen. If the news post had said "You all get ten votes, but remember, only six pieces will win!" people would probably not be talking about it much at all.

And since the "rioting" is limited to people posting bits of text (pretty civil text, too. I haven't even seen people busting out the all-caps or anything!) in areas of the site dedicated to posting bits of text...it's not a big deal. It's not like someone was so upset about this that they're hacking the site or something.

I think the winning entries were very nice, but I was surprised that there weren't any eyes/mouths winning, especially since they can't normally be made as CWs. I figured people would have taken advantage of that.

I'd love to see the vote numbers, just out of interest. xD

Anyway, the people who didn't win (besides facial features) can probably make a lot more sP/CSC making their items into CWs now anyway, since so many people have seen them and like them. :D

But staff did clearly state they weren't sure how many winners there was going to be. That isn't the same as saying 6 or 10 o.O I don't think it's unreasonable to /assume/ either, but no one should be upset because their assumption was wrong, especially when it was really nothing more than a hope and a guess. I think that is rather unreasonable...

I wish all those face items came out via TS or BHH coz all those items were truly fabulous and both those venues lately have been littered with repeats and minions.

Please, please, please, if these are released somewhere DO NOT MAKE IT THE BHH.

That's what I was expecting as well and now that only six made it I feel sorry for the four users whose items didn't make it. Why didn't you just raise the prices for the CW items in Skitters Shop if you are so concerned about all the money? I would have paid 500k+ for them if we therefore got ten items in total.

Joining the ranks of users who were disappointed at only having six winning items! And I wish there had been more items for Louis's shop since the Den items aren't really ever gonna be my style and I was super prepared for there to be like five items in each shop, to offer some kind of balance between cute/zombie.

Still love that these contests are a thing, still appreciate being given the chance to buy the winning items (which I did immediately, all of them), but I just plain wish there'd been more!

I think it's odd that there were up to 10 votes but only 6 winners. I didn't use all my votes but a lot of people voted for things which they didn't particularly love just to use all their votes up.

Maybe one solution would be to hold a second contest for the other items where we are given 4 votes only.
