well 11-12 mill is just ridiculously high if enough of these were won... I got mine for 4.3mill, i see they're around 5mill in the shops now. Which isn't bad.

I am sorry, but I think some of these letter sequence trivia are getting out of hand. I am not just upset because I couldn't find the answer and can't afford the prize, but seriously.. who the heck has time to LIVE on subeta and scour every single sentence to find the answer. Maybe I am just a sore loser. Whatever.. I used to enjoy the trivia when it was questions that made you think, or questions that tested your knowledge of the site.. but too many of the sequence ones are just sheer luck.. on whether or not you happen to stumble across the right answer.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

They only decreased that vastly, because of undercutters.
One girl kept going 2million lower each time someone updated their prices.

Example: When they were at 12million, she decreased to 10million.
When someone went 10million, she went 8.5million.
And so on, and so on, until the tops went to 4.3million.

But they are in demand enough, that the tops have been bought up, and are back at 12million.

I randomly guessed, too. I'm eager to see if my 1/26 shot in the dark is gonna get me a prize. Oh, I SO want this one...

WHICH reminds me: someone posted that they believe that any number of users would love to run the trivia but I don't agree--the one who posts the questions (ie, generally DebiLee) can't actually PLAY the game (that would be cheating, wouldn't it?), so I think that job would be very hard to fill. I think that's also likely WHY she's SO bitterly opposed to cheating (makes sense, really).

You got me Debi... totally had to guess, nice job! Can we please soon have a new trivia and maybe one of these great artist could create a Pain Reliever item?

I think we assume too much of too many things that no assumption should be made of.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Luxe

Flyfeaf, every member of staff is criticized, not just Debi. That's just part and parcel with the job.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Seerow
User Avatar

I'm sure if Debi for some reason or other ever left staff, they could fill the position of Trivia adder in the matter of a few hours, if not instantly. It wouldn't even have to be an existing staff member, I'm sure there are plenty of users who would kill for the chance to run the trivia.
I'm not in any way saying I want Debi gone or for her to quite. I think overall she does a fine job of running the trivias. However there have been a lot of ambiguous or problem trivias lately, hence the greater number of complainers and people complaining louder then before.

It wouldn't hurt to have a team of volunteers or staff or whatever to go through the trivias that Debi has picked out as possible future trivias and have them have a go at solving them and checking for double answers. It would then be less likely that a bad trivia gets through and as such there would be far less general complaints and everyone could breathe easier.

Ohh, and just for the record, I guessed on this one too XD I'm anxious to see where the answer is actually found on the site.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by xFlyleaf
User Avatar

Actually, the post of Trivia manager (lol) or whatever you want to call it would be a pretty difficult job. You have to 1) Sift through all the trivias and pick which are worthy, 2) Deal with all the people on Subeta who get mad at HER when they get the Trivia wrong, even though 80% of the time, she wasn't even the person who came up with the trivia and 3) I'm sure she feels very pressured to have good item prizes . . . it must be hard to choose which items the prize should be. She's also in charge of items.

Sure, many people would like her paycheck, but no one is going to take her place. She has a title, and she has a job. There's no 'DebiLee' position on staff.

I too merely guessed. This sequence seems impossible, and I truly hope that such a measly number of people get it right that the prize gets released again. A wearable like this is going to be highly sought after, so I'm sure there won't be enough to meet demand.

I'd laugh if the number of correct answers are 1:26 of the total guesses!

I gave up too, looked Everywhere I could think of and couldn't find the sequence. I had such a headache last night that I just closed my eyes and punched in a random key on my keyboard and hit enter.

I don't believe that for a second. I am sure if asked, at least one of the existing UAs would be thrilled to be promoted to DebiLee's position and get her monthly paycheck.

While you have a point, Lynelle, in that there are certainly more artists to cater to user suggestions and only one DebiLee, I think Debi also has a staff of "artists" in us as users.

As she said herself, she comes up with less than half of the questions found in Trivia. If other users as her "staff" or "helpers" could come up with more reliable and less ambiguous trivia, and yes, if she and any other Trivia-adding staff could make an effort (or more of one, as the case may be) to conduct a search several ways before making the Trivia live, I think these complaints would happen less and less. I think it would help all of Subeta staff to understand the complaints from the users if they had to search for an answer to a trivia question like a user more often.

I'm not placing blame on any one person. I know when I legitimately get a Trivia question wrong. I also put down purple, but I know it was wrong and why it was wrong now. I was thinking of Roy G. Biv, and Debi is right. Not only should it have been "violet" if that were the case, but indigo would have also been missing. Like Debi, I can admit when I wrong as well.

In the art department there are many artists. There is only one staff member willing to do trivia. And if everyone keeps criticizing her for little or no reason, and she decides to stop doing it, then no more trivia.

But besides all that, she is very fair. She admits it when she makes a mistake. She puts up with more complaining then I ever would, and she remains happy and cheerful and still puts the trivia out week after week no matter what people say about her.

If you don't like the way it's run, then don't play the game. But don't ruin it for the rest of us that think she does a good job.

Sometimes we just have to admit we are wrong instead of trying to place the blame on other people.

You'd think the realization would bring you off your pedestal. There aren't even that many complaining, it's just the same handful of people who seem to argue about flawed questions whenever they can.

I think I see more people who are defending or are nonchalant than who are complaining.

You do realize that in the art department, if this many users complain about a pet this often, we usually change it up to suit their suggestions. Just my two cents. I don't see why any feature on the site shouldn't work this way.

I have no idea. After 24 hours of searching the site, I still have no idea on this one & the top is soooo cute.

That said I have missed out in the past on items that I liked & won items that I wasn't so crash hot about.

So I think it is time to take a stab in the dark & try for an answer as someone posted, I have a 1 in 26 chance of getting it right.

Good luck everyone.
