Anyways, I decided to stay up for 2 more hours trying to find the sequence and nothing. It's now 1:50 a.m. and I just can't take it anymore. I feel so lost on here...

starfish my list of "rules" was tongue in cheek (I thought that was obvious). The only rule the trivia needs really is "if you don't like the way it's run - don't play"
I got the last one wrong and I havent a clue about this one. That's my bad luck.

AHHH!!! I give up on this one. I need to know when the trivia is over where this answer was found, it's driving me insane. I have searched everywhere that I know is possible and can't find any kind of sequence to match it.

wow, seriously nuts o people complaining here.....i put purple but this was also the first month I've ever known about the caves so I'm not surprised i didn't get it=^.^;=

by the way debi all seriousness aside from the rest of the post this was in it made me laugh "Or Keith's fun time coding Trivias XD"

this new one is hard though, can't wait to see where it came from so i can stab open my head when it just missed it!(that is a compliment by the way.....i think....)

Debilee posted on the 4th post that there were about 900 winners to the last trivia. So, it really couldn't have been that ambiguous, or less people would have won.

And all trivias are subeta related unless they say otherwise. I've seen that posted on the site numerous times, and in the editorial.

On the comments to the last trivia question, DebiLee even posted that it was subeta related. So, the fact that it was subeta related was posted. If I am unsure about format or whether it's subeta related, I read the comments. It's helped me a lot of times.

Not to mention that if we have that type of a question (format or subeta related), we can ask DebiLee before we submit our answer and she answers promptly. One of my very favorite thing about subeta is how quickly the staff responds.

I think that she checks and double checks the trivia really well. When I get one wrong because I can't find it, or I don't search long enough and find an answer that sort of suits, I just shrug and try and answer the next one.

GEEZ! This on is just driving me nuts! I've been everywhere, just everywhere and I can't find it. I don't want to put in a random letter, I want to find it. I want that prize, it's fabulous! Please don't let it be a head banging on the desk obvious one, I don't think I could handle that! I'm betwixt and between now, I want to trivia to end so I can find out the answer, and I want to trivia to go on another day so I can go through everything again and find it myself! sigh

trivia is about making you think and personally i don't like the very easy ones there is no challenge in them and if as i did in this instance get it wrong BIG DEAL move on to the next one.. if you want it so simple that there is no challenge the wait for the free gift..
i think debilee does a great job keeping us entertained so instead of grumbling give her the praise she so justly deserves.

That's just.... ridiculous. "ok, not only do you have to find the trivia answer(s), you have to figure out which of the possible correct answers is the one we want to see"? If that's how the trivia is going to be run, no thanks. There shouldn't be any "deeming" necessary. The best approach is not to issue a disclaimer to CYA in case there is some confusion or overlap. The best approach is to select trivia questions where there is no ambiguity. If that's not possible then just eliminate it... it's not worth all the bickering.

For the record, this peeves me. The subeta-related was never specified, and assuming that all users should know that it's only related, especially when it's pointed out as easy (which it has in common with the holiday unsubeta trivias), is a leap.

I wouldn't be peeved if there were some acknowledgement of this, some sort of, "Yeah, I see your point, we'll try to be more specific in the future, so that it's fair to the people that play on and support this site." But, of course, the need to be right stamps out the ability to admit room for improvement. I get enough of that from my coworkers.

Or put the standard
"the judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into"
or

or
"anyone participating in this trivia does so with the understanding that they may not be in agreement with the answer, the format of the question or the decision to change the prize without notice and that they agree to abide by any all rules stated or implied by the trivia organizer, the site owner or his representatives"

I think I'm more annoyed with people complaining about people complaining than the original complainers. The complainers just want to vent. The secondary complainers are just being hypocritical. Yeah, I went there.

WHY CAN'T I STOP READING EVERYONE'S COMPLAINING? Because... it's kinda fun to see new ways people say the same things (no, I'm not being sarcastic, it's fascinating to see the choices in words and who is trying to be polite about their opinion and who has superiority complexes.)

Seerow, stop beating a dead horse. You've already made your feelings about the last trivia perfectly clear. I understand you're upset about it, and you have every right to be, but I see no reason for you to keep going on and on about it. You made your point that the trivia needed more clarification, but now you just won't let it go and your point is being lost because all you're coming off as is a whiner. If you stand on your soapbox long enough people are just going to stop caring and start ignoring you.
