This post has gotten far out of hand.
This is the way we released the pet, and until this art is out of date, it is the way it will stay.
Considering the amount of pets already changed to this color tonight (200+) I'd say that there is a considerable amount of people who enjoy this Pherret.
To those of you who don't - save your glacier potion for the next pet

In regards to the color flipping, it was very possible to make the mask darker without switching the colors. If you look at a Blood pherret and the arid pherret beside each other, you can see how the colors correspond. You can also see that arid is white with a slightly darker stomach and then has a much darker mask still. The mask for Glacier could be the same color as the shadow on the chest of the Dusk pherret. Just a little thought. I think it's cute as is but I never planned on getting one ^^; -stays true to DM still-

I understand the New pet/No poll thing, however this would be a good poll idea in the future after more pets have been released. I'm still a little disturbed on how polls can be made for pointless revamps (anyu nose or old telenine) yet when the GY/Reborns get revamped, no polls are made. Many users take pride in their pets. Those that already have them should get a vote.

Xiria you are missing an important point.
We do not poll new pets.
Ever.
Maybe that's why, what you say, Yelled at.
How can you tell if one is yelling over the internet? They were probably just stating something at you, like what I have done.
So to summarise, new pets never get polled.

Nestly: Xiria, I don't think you were actually being 'yelled' at, but remember that the staff members are human too, and everybody gets frustrated every now and then.
Imagine how much people say, 'you should've polled it.'
Polls are only for revamps. This is just a new color.
It's probably just been said so many times before, and you asking frustrates people some times, so don't get down about critiquing. :3 As far as I know, all the others love getting positive/helpful feedback.
It only took a little over a week on staff to realize how frustrating this kind of thing can be. Especially to the artists actually drawing these pets.
Subeta is SO open to user feedback it's incredible. But because of this, many users feel that they have TOO much power and control, therefor get angry when something isn't their way and they can't change it.
So you know... don't get discouraged about the criticism. :3 Just try not to bring up things that have been said over and over. No big deal, right?
x3 I can be a little slow at times, true.... The only people I can see this effecting are the people who where waiting on the pet and don't like it... but it's also good, in a way, since they can hoard the potion/bucket it for another pet, or sell it to a user who wants the pet and make a nice profit off of it and make someone else happy/not buy the potion at all.

It will not be polled, for the simple reason it's a -new- pet. Not a revamp.

The only reason revamps are polled are because they effect people who own the pets already, thus they are effected.
If we polled /every/ new pet and new pet colour... well... we'd never finish any pets... because everyone would continue to nitpick over every little thing...

Earthen, this isn't a revamp, its a new gorgeous pet. Thus, no one is effected by it since no one owned one... so... most of the drama and snapping your seeing here... is with little to no reason |D
The Aeanoid would be interesting. XD It could be kinda in the process of withering a bit in the cold weather. Much awesome potential with that color/pet combo.
Now, this is exactly why I said you should run a poll. Some people like it the way it is, some people want it to be the other way. The only way to know for sure what the majority wants is to run a poll. But of course, when I suggested that, I just got yelled at. :/
I don't know why you are so adamant about your art being perfect these days. You seem to get angry at even the most constructive criticism now. When other people were saying, "I hate the mask! Ewww!" I said, "Maybe you should run a poll and see which version people like better." And I was personally singled out and yelled at by a staff artist. Not even the artist who drew the picture, either.
This site is one of my favorite things in the whole world. I even wanted to be an artist for this site but I was rejected before I even got a chance to apply. Why? Because I'm not 18 years old yet. Not exactly something I can just practice and improve like I could if I was rejected for not being good enough.
So if I can't draw my own pets for the site (and indeed, haven't actually even felt like drawing much of anything ever since I was told I can't be an artist for this site), and you only get mad when I give suggestions and ideas and constructive criticism, what would you like me to do, then?
I really love the glacier pherret. Wonderful job. I prefer the white mask because it emphasizes the eyes more than a darker mask would.
why the whining? makes no sense to me, i'm just happy it's out and i hope to se the harvester and aeanoid. i don't even own a aeanoid, but it'd be interesting.
Personally, i would have liked a darker mask, like many other people...... but I don't see why everyone should hiss and snap and snarl at eachother over opinions. ..'; Really now, much of the arguing from both the users and artists reminded me of sitting with my brothers at the dinner table while they throw peas and whatever else they can get their hands on at eachother.
Both the artist and the people who did the revamp thought they where doing what's best, and I think the entire thing just got a little too far out of hand. You like how you/the artist drew it? More power to you, the art is lovely. You dislike it? More power to you, too, since you know what you like and dislike.

Anyways, this is my favorite glacier pet so far. I don't mind the colors being switched at all, in fact I think the little mask being in white is quite a nice touch. I love the expression as well.

Necolasa- mhm it would look good (= But personally I like them more laid back since it portrays a more arrogant and defiant personality which is what I think of when I see other glacier pets. And nuuu you weren't rude! Your changes were made in a polite and fun fashion unlike some others that I saw...

Everyone.... what it boils down to is, if you don't like it - DON'T GET IT. There are hundreds of other colors and species of pets out there to get. That's all it boils down to. Yeesh.
Illusion, I think this is lovely, and you did a wonderful job. The white mask is a bit odd, but I can deal with it - I'm very tempted to get one of these.
But guess what - if I didn't like it, I just wouldn't get one

If you are really so determined to have the Glacier Pherret like how you've edited it, here's a simple way to do so:
1- get a Pherret.
2- Get a Glacier Potion.
3- Make the Pherret Glacier.
4- Take your edited image, post it on your pet's description, and say that's how it looks.
Not only will this silly discussion end, but you'll have your own, unique, original, not like any other glacier Pherret! 8D

Dear lord, Did the drama llama stop by or something? No one is MAKING anyone make this pherret, but the fact remains, Its well drawn and it fallows ALL the standards for Glacier pets to date. The anatomy is great, the inverted mask makes it unique.
Don't like the mask? Don't make one.
Instead of causing pointless drama left and right, take the pet for what it is. Well shaded, lined, with good anatomy, fallowing the standards of subeta pets in the past. Theres nothing wrong with it.

A Sevva you are forgetting the fact that the anyu was a REVAMP not a new pet. It was changed so many times because it was polled, because it was a revamp.
This is a new pet, we do not change new pets. We perfect them the best we can then send it out into the world of subeta and hope users will like it.

The reason I joined Subeta? Because of the pherret xD When I saw the Glacier Pherret on the News only a week after joining I nearly died. The artist, Illusion, did a lovely job. And as another user stated, the icicles really look nice.
The mask look fine; sure people should be allowed to state their opinions but outright disrespect is not what Subeta is about =/
