The eyes are so small, and for some reason it doesn't look like a Pherret.... it looks like a cat for some odd reason.
But eh, if the people who get it like itthen I'm not going to tell you guys to change it, I just wish people would stop repeating why they dislike it or why people shouldn't complain.
Its annoying and immature, feels like Highschool whenever I read these comments.

A blue mask would look nicer.
But seeing as how it's not going to be changed... eh.
The colors on the mask of all nonredraw Pherrets, not just common, are all much darker or a different shade entirely (see Field) then the main body. That darker grey-blue used on some of the pets may have worked nicely for the mask color.
If all the pets have to stick to such rigid color pallets, why did the Keeto have so much black (or very near black in color) all over it? Shouldn't that have been turned to blue? If the Keeto could have a bit of artistic license, it seems strange that the Pherret was forbidden to.
I love the rest of this Pherret, I can't find a complaint one about the overall body and the ice detailing is lovely. Its just the head and mask color that ruin it for me.
I will not be recoloring it and there will not be a poll because no one is forcing you to get it. Soooo! we can stop that train of thought right now. Not happening. Sorry.

Yo, subetans, chillllllllll out!! If you don't like it, remember to keep the criticism constructive, not just "oh, I don't like it cuz the mask is all wrong". C'mon, I think we're all a bit better than that. Seriously, fellow subetans. All the pet colors that just came out are amazing, the Sheeta got it's desperately needed revamp, as did the Velosotor, and this b-e-a-utiful creature was released with them. I think it's lovely. If you don't, feel free to opine, but remember to say constructive things, not derogotory things.

Also, Salsa, we all know that all Pherrets have masks. No one's complaining about the mask rather then the /color/ of the mask.
I don't believe anyone said they hated the mask itself. Most people are complaining about the color of the mask and the inverted colors on the whole thing. As for saying that the base color HAS to be white and the colors HAD to be inverted because of the color palette, go take a look at the Ghostly. Ghostlies have a darker body with a lighter head, and the Glacier Ghostly has a cyan body with a white head. And although I DO see your point about some of the other pets having inverted colors in Glacier (Mortiking, Antlephore,), I'm sorry to say that it just looks more natural on those pets than it does on the Pherret. The one major trademark of the Pherret species is the dark mask.
I'm not saying that it would look better with a grey or blue mask. At least not with this inverted color scheme. That would actually look terrible, with too much blue on the face. I am saying that the whole thing would look better with the mask, body, and ear tips being cyan, and belly, face, and tail tip being cyan to match the other Pherrets.
Now, part of me likes the lighter mask and thinks that it's unique and pretty, but there's another part of me that is bothered by the inverted color scheme.
I think that maybe it would be a good idea to do another Glacier Pherret picture with the colors switched as I said earlier in this comment, and then run a poll so people can decide which one is better.
To those who say the mask should be blue, I invite you to draw a better one. Really. Show me how you think it should look.
I love this one -- Glacier pets are some of my favorites. Pherrets are gorgeous as well.

I'm becoming increasingly depressed at artists (and members) unwillingness to take constructive criticism. :/
The mask looks awkward because of the choice in coloring. If, for example, the body and mask were darker - perhaps in blue - and the chest and head were kept white, I would find it more acceptable. That way, an exception in how the Pherret is colored throughout the species wouldn't have to be made.

I think the head would have looked better white with a blue mask, but it still looks nice. ^^

I've been waiting for a glacier pherret for so long! But I don't know what to think of this o-o

Its paw looks like its hurt and I really just don't like the coloration at all. No offense to the artist or anything, it's nicely made, it just doesn't -look good-.
Even if making the mask teal and head white wouldn't match the other pherrets in the one sense, that the body color is the mask color, it would it the more aethetic sense that every single pherret's mask is DARKER than the rest of the head.

Mmm, it seems to me if you hug that pet a little to long , you will change into an ice-cube but for the rest it looks cool and with that mask a little bit like a bandit
Guys really without the mask it just wouldn't fit in with the other pherrets. I may think the pose it awkward but all in all the art is awesome. I almost wish I could overlook how the pose bothers me and decide to get this as a pet.

I suppose I can see why some people don't like the ligher mask, but, I think that's just a matter of personal taste. There are a lot of pets that I think are amazingly done but don't really care for myself, but that's to be expected. shrugs

I like the pose, the tail, and the markings on it´s back. The mask would look better if it would be darker, but hey, you could still draw a costume image of your pet with the mask having ANY color...

Personally I'm extremely impressed with this pet. At first glance, I was a bit put off to see so much blue, but every time I come back to the news page I like it a little bit more. The pose is very elegant, while standoff-ish, and the face is wonderful. The icicles hanging off the ears and the underbelly is adorable, and the breath looks very much like a butterfly (as I remember someone else pointing out). The only thing that even looks remotely off to me is the icicles hanging off the foot--and that could fit if you imagine the pet being frozen in time. I can see why some people are put off by the inversion of the mask/face colours, but I can also see the beauty of the artwork. I think this is an excellent colour for the Pherret, and if I weren't waiting on the release of a Glacier Mahar and Glacier Legeica, I would have a Glacier Pherret. ^^

Congrats, Alyssa. You've seriously impressed me with your pherret skills. While I'm not crazy about the inverted colors, I also realize that I don't much see how else you could have accomplished it with the pherret. It's just a tricky beast. We really didn't have enough foresight when developing glacier to project how all pets would fit in with it. White bases are tough.
I'm looking forward to seeing pherrets being bipedal again, and I know you will absolutely own them. 
I liked this pet enough to make one. I think the inverted colors look really nice, and it is actually my favorite Pherret color, which is one of my favorite pets.

On every other color of pherret the mask is a darker color then the stomach/head fur, couldn't that have been done for this one?
It doesn't really look like it goes along with the other Pherret colors because of the inverted colors on the Glacier Pherret.
I almost think we should abandon the idea of leaving comments. =/ Half of us can't ever hope to draw like the amazing staff Subeta has hired- just because you don't like it doesn't mean you should throw the art out the window. It's good, it really is. I haven't ever seen any "bad" art.
I know the critiques aren't bad or anything, but it seems to be creating a lot of tightness between members that's just sad to see. .-.

I too, do not like the mask - It really throws off the whole personality of the pet. Everytime I see it I think of someone who has been tanning way to long with their sunglasses on. Not good.
I don't understand WHY the colors had to be inverted or why you were 'forced' to use them. The pallette for these pets also includes shades of grey, blue-grey and black. Why couldn't the underbelly have been a very subtle grey with a darker grey or blue/grey mask? I don't understand why the artist is so adament on NOT using those colors when they are clearly in the color scheme for the pet.

I do agree that a darker mask would look better (in my opinion). I don't protest on the basis that it's wrong though. A glacier pet has different markings, the point of redraw pets is for them to be different, is it not? I just think it would look better with a dark mask. And personally I think the head is too small, the eyes are too small, and I don't like the effect that adding the dripping ice to the ears gives. I think the body looks great, though

Doglet, that's kind of what comments are for though, to say if you like something or don't like it. I don't think it hurts to say you don't particularly like something. I think in the past that's how some pet redraws were improved? If everyone always just says they like something, then the artist doesn't know when something is really good or when people are just saying it's good to spare their feelings you know? Personally I always prefer honesty.
It amazes me how many people comment on these posts complaining about a pet.
If you don't like it, Don't get one. It's that simple.
You guys just make so many awesome colors~ Glacier is one of my favorite colors because of their pose/expressions. :3 Plus they're icy, I'd love to have one called Mint, but it's probably taken. XD

Seerow, the other artists just didn't feel the need for artistic license. We mostly approved of the white mask.
