Nothing is absulutly wrong with it I think it is alot better then the old one.

The old one was plain and it's legs were no where to be seen (except for that one) and it was very flat but this one makes it stand out and make it more realistic.
the new feli looks serious, where the old one is looking away with a "cat" look on its face... and the back leg things of the new one seem weird.. its legs are like wide open!

I'm just going to give you guys the reason to why I did some of the stuff people are not happy about. First, all the pets are supposed to be looking at the user, so there's no way I could make it look anywhere else anymore ^^; Second, the look people call "pudgy" actually isn't, if you ask me. I don't have much confidence in my art, but I used as many Feli refferences there was (considering I drew the Spectrum, Darkmatter and Hydrus who all look the exact same weight), and even the Reborn, Graveyard and Angelic Feli(those I did not draw) look just as fat. The common one, with being back-broken, look plainly anorexic; we're looking for healthy pets here! (I'm not saying I won't try to make it better, though 
) Then, to reply to Kelpie-dear's critique on the colors, I'll only say that we're trying to retablish a constancy for all common-posed colors, and that the new ones are fitting it better than the old, neon ones. I tried them, and honestly... I just couldn't bear the sight of 'em. Also, I remember readin somewhere in these posts that the common Feli(this one up there) looked as if its colors were washed out-- fear not, each(purple, orange, beige and green) has been eye-dropped from the old Feli. The only thing that needed change on the 'colors' is the shading's, so it would be more natural. Then, there's the ticker lines... Yes, all recent pets have thick lines. We're avoiding the too thin-ness of it(by giving it some... volume? at different places). And now, about the pose... I can't say I completely disagree XD I won't put it's feet down because then it would be identical to the DM one, but I will try my best to think of something else, maybe a new pose... n_n" You all have to fall one in a while to rise again, I guess! flees into sunset
I think it's really lovely! The art is alot newer and shinier than the old art. The tail does look a little thin, but it's all better than I could do! The eyes are especially pretty. :]
On Another note... I gues what I'm trying to say is I like the "looking up to you" kitty pose a lot better but hey, change is change right?
Oh well. At least I can change Jynga to a Lasirus or something. Me no like mug kitty.
I like the feli's feet pads showing. But I like the Old Version of the Feli because her head is looking up, as if she is looking up at you, whereas the new one just..well..looks. It looks like it matured or something. I'm so despaired.
I think it need to have a larger head, and a smaller body. I also think that you should make the Felis have their rear legs flat on the ground.

I do agree, the colors do seem a bit washed out, should be a little brighter to show how lively the feli is. And yeah, that's exactly how a puppy with worms walks. perhaps a slight adjustment in the rear leg positioning to not quite resemble that. I love the feli's, and I'd hate to think of the poor babies that way. I voted old because I know it can be done better. The other revamps have been great, some after a few tweaks.
My ONLY complaint (yes, loves, I only have one) is that it looks like it's dragging its arse on the ground like a puppy with worms. I hate to sound crass, but I had a dog that did that. I'd much prefer its hind legs placed like the darkmatter one, and perhaps flip it so they're not identically posed. I think if people are complaining for a feli revamp right now because of the way the hind legs are posed unnaturally, eventually they're going to do the same for this one.
Are the colors the same? This one seems a bit washed out.

I don't really like the "realistic" look to it. I think Subeta looks better in a cartoon style.
I really like the new pose, but the lines seem a bit thick.

Very cute, I rather like the pose, but as for things that could be better, the paws could definetly be redrawn to fit proportions better(as someone below me said^^) And, I think it could benefit with more detailed/textured shading like that in the Escalade.
I don't know, the old Feli looks as though it's legless, like some snail which has two paws (obviously Feli is cuter than a snail) because of its pose with its legs to the back. At least I can see the legs in this, although the leg looks a bit....out of proportion, but I don't know if it's too big or too small confused

Hmm...Yes, the tail does look stringy. Thicken that, and make the wings look thicker, like the ones on the old one. Plus, maybe wiggle the tail so it goes around the legs or something...Or make it stand up! =D

I think it looks really good, I especially love the eyes. The old one is cute too, but I like the newer one.
I am a huge fan of the old version. Everything about it screams "take me home with you".
If you are dead set on the revamp, I agree with most of the other comments... fuller face, thicker tail (maybe even wrap it around the feet), eyes of the old version, bigger wings, repositioning of the rear feet (to make it more natural).
I am not an artist, so I can't comment on lines, shading, and the like.
I still love everything about the old version, and would dread seeing it go, but the people have spoken. sigh
I also like the begging position of the one on the opening page (before you log in). Maybe that could be fleshed out more, and submitted as a revamp.
How beautiful. I definitely like this pose much better than the old one. The old one... there was something wrong with the Feli's legs. It looked like it was paralyzed from the waist down and was dragging its hindlegs behind it where ever it went... sadly, I know what that looks like on a cat...
Anyways, so this pose is much better. All I would suggest different is maybe have the tail in more of an S shape than a backwards C -- because as it is now, I almost thought the wings were coming out of the tail.
Hmm it's very cute =) I like this revamp but I do agree that the wings should be a bit more prominent.

I can't say anything against the new one, except maybe could we make the wings a little more prominent and maybe the face not quite so round? Those are the only things I feel are a bit off?

On another note... Just went through the Dark Matter pets, and noted that not all of them are reposed. That said; if the Feli was revamped/reposed to look like its DM color, I'd be one very happy Feli owner.

The hind feet seem kinda odd sitting up like that.a cat would keep there paws down on the floor (from what I've seen from my 10 kittens anyway but there still babys many fat cats site like that?)
Its head and paws now seems small the old feli had an -almost- chibi look to it with its body looking small and its face and paws big. This one just seems fatter (I guess that accounts for its sitting)
This looks more like a mature cat, I like the kitten look of the old one better.
Also, I think it's eyes are too drowpy and look as if it is staring at its friend in dismay. XD
I like the old one. Its so much perdier. =-/ It looks to tall now.

I love the old Feli! It looks a lot more "mischevious kitty" than the new pose does. But in all honestly, I think Feli owners should be the ones to vote, since they're the ones affected. Still, since I do get a vote and a voice, I say old Feli is a lot cuter than the new.

I really don't understand the posts saying the new pose is more natural than the old one. I've NEVER seen a feline sit like that. However, my own fat cat can often be found twisted round like the old pose.
The hind feet on this version are just odd. That pink pad needs both more depth and to be matched with toe pads, if kept at all.
The tufts of chest fur seem too rounded at the ends, and the neck line makes it look too thick at that point. Perhaps that's just a personal preference, though, it may be meant to look that thick.
The shadow on the face seems to cut straight through the muzzle - not that I'm an expert on shading, but surely it would only look like that if the 'muzzle' was in fact flush with the rest of the head?
And the eyebrows - personally I'd rather they weren't there at all, but could you have them matching the eyes more rather than looking like random black lines floating in mid-air?
I think the position of the feet is awkward. Maybe they could be put down, like a real cat sits?
I was worried that a Feli revamp might make my Meiuki look strange (I think the expression suits her well), but I love this! I'd be glad to see this as a new look.

Probably try making the feli a little more curvy and more slick feline-ness. The new feli doesn't have the feline feel to it.

I think the new feli looks more mature than the old, but one thing puzzles me. It's back feet seem to be more rabbit-like than the old one, rather than cat-like. Was that intentional? I don't mind it, and in fact, I'm looking forward to seeing Kidlet get her revamp
I just realized, that this Feli looks amazingly similar to that of the new Tigrean Plushie's poses.
the only real difference is that the Feli's head it turned.
It still just doesn't look right. Something a little different and less stiff would be much better. Cats are smooth and sleek (even some fat fluffy ones), not stiff. Yes, then can look and pose stiff, but they're not perpetually like that, and I don't think the Feli should look perpetually stiff either.
I can't comprehend why some people point out a million things wrong with the revamp, but then vote new anyway. Just because a pet could use a revamp doesn't mean THIS is the revamp it needs, and new doesn't always automatically mean better. If you don't like it, vote old, and there's a higher chance the next attempt will be done better.
It's not that I'm not against change. I LOVED the Escalade, Endeavor, Bovyne, and Torrent revamps... and the Montre and Kerubi, if you want to go back that far. But this Feli is not an improvement; it's just a repose for the sake of reposing. A much less inventive and more plastic-looking repose at that, and one that completely changes the character of the pet.
That said... this is yet another anatomical flaw that bugs me more the more I look at it. The pink paw pads just should not be there at all. Observe a real feline's hind leg and you'll see why - it walks on its tiptoes, not its whole hind leg, and thus the pads are only on the toes and the "sole" just behind them. This Feli sort of looks like it sat on two conveniently dropped pieces of used gum (maybe that's why the poor thing is sticking its feet in the air at awkward angles?). For the sake of color coordination though, I'd suggest choosing a pose that doesn't show the bottoms of the feet at all. Like, I don't know, a simple touched-up version of the current Feli, maybe.
The rest of my crit is posted in the main forum... I'll add this to it since it'll probably be pushed out of this news post within a couple hours anyway...
I think the new Feli's really pretty, though I think the various parts don't seem connected. The Feli is looking at us from the 3/4 angle, but the wings/tail look like they're viewed from a profile. They're also a little on the small side (I know the wings aren't supposed to be proportional - but they're still a tiny bit too small)
I also agree that the paw pads could use some work - they look out of place and flat. Perhaps also some colour editing on the paw pads, since that strange pink shade isn't repeated anywhere else in the pic?
Other than that, gorgeous shading, and cute pose! I voted for the new one - it's definitely a beautiful improvement on the old Feli.

I like the new version, because of the positioning of the back legs of the old version Feli. I would still adjust the tail to be shorter, away from the wings ...and maybe would adjust the size of the back feet too - they remind me of long rabbit feet? My vote in the poll: New
