While the shading and line work for the new Feli is much better than the old one, the proportioning on the new one seems off to me.
The fur tufts on the chest make the head appear to be dwarfed which (for me anyway) makes it visually unappealing.
The way the linework was done makes it look like an obese house cat, where in my perception to feli was supposed to look like a lithe and agile feline.
Hmm, I think this revamp is acually nice. The shading is a ton better and the pose is nice, however the body looks a bit like a rabbits and I think the tail and wings could be a little bigger =)
The only feli that needed revamping was the chibi, in my opinion... and possibly the reborn. I loved the old pose, to, like, death. I'll be sad if the new pose ends out dominant.
I really don't like this revamp and it makes me nervous for my current pet. As was previously stated, no cat can sit this way, while the other pose is very common really. The hind legs bother me. It was drawn like the haunch of the feli was going to be in a sitting position but then added on an outstretched lower leg. There is a structure to the hind leg of a cat. It's not just a half circle and a paw. The spectrum feli is a good example of this.
Let's just pretend a cat could be forced in this position (with much duct tape and supports), the toes would be folded over more. The pads are pretty bad too, I would think they would be more rounded and smaller. Like a real cat.
If the tail was tucked under the cat and it was generally shifted to lean back a little it would make it much more reasonable for it to be sitting on it's haunches in such a manner.
This revamp just seems chubby and like it doesn't have the same bone structure. Or any bone structure at all. It's hard to imagine how it would get up and move. Sorry for being so critical but I have 14 cats in real life and this pose is pretty off.
The wing seems off the shoulder blade and too small on this chubby feli.
I don't really love the pose, the wing overlapps the tip of the tail giving it what I call a "Teapot/coffee-mug look" which isn't a good thing.
The colours bland, I love the wings and eyes, but the eyes should/could be wider. Feet should touch the floor, but if it was drawn in a crouching/stalking pose as if hunting I'm sure everyone would luff it. Who agrees?

Love the new one, I would concider having a feli with this new look!!! I didn't care for the old one.... The change might actually cause me to have an issues of max pet space and wanting a feli haha...

Rainwhisker, that's an awesome Idea. If the Feli's pose has to change, how about making it laying down? I was just looking at the minion 'Binx' and thinking "The Feli would look good like that!" Not only would it laying down be a more natural pose than this revamp has, but it'll still have that Feli looking up playfullyness it has on the current one.
Food for though. The artist should try different poses. See how it'll look while laying down. Anything but the pose and feet on this revamp.
The new one looks beautiful but i think the wings are to small in contrary to the body, the body looks a little bit to big.
The new position is not bad but, in my opinion the position is too nice, that would fit to chibi.
The chest fur does not look very naturally, it´s too fluffy.
The paws are much better at the new one!
I like the new pose a lot, however, I think the old one's anatomy is a lot better, which makes it better overall.
The body on this one seems a bit chunky and the wings a bit awkward. Also, I like the old one's face more as well, mainly because of the shape and expression.

I think you should try to do the same pose as the old one, it might make it look better.
But for the time being, the new one is more preferred.. But I think I like the old one best.
The current feli's pose is really awkward, so I like this pose a lot more. However, I still prefer the current one over this new feli.
I agree that it looks really plump and parts of it's body are too small, but what mainly bothers me is the face. I'm not sure what's wrong with it, but it seems awkward. ^^;
And.. One more thing. The wings.. Look a little awkward.
I'm not sure what it is, but my eyes are automatically drawn to the wings, instead of me taking in the whole pet.

I like the older version because it's cuter, the pose looks better [in my opinion] and the tail isn't too close to the wing.

I believe that the tail looks too thin, though I think this is because the body is a bit chubby. So maybe make him a little thinner, and his tail more fluffy? I also think the wings should be made slightly bigger; the small size looks a bit awkward (though this could, again, be because of the chubby body. ). Apart from that, he looks really cute! I voted new, it is really cute, but my head is saying I wish the colors were a tiny bit brighter, or is it darker? I mean I wish they were a bit less dulled out, does that make sense. Make em pop.
Like some people around here not really a Feli fan, I'm not entirely sure how to vote at the moment since effectively it makes little difference to me. Nevertheless, here's some things I observed.
Is anybody else getting the impression it looks a bit flat? Not that the old one wasn't, in fact even more so, but still, if we're having a revamp it's a chance to point out those bits. Though at the same time I do like the softer coloring, eyeburning orange never was my favourite. Also, I'm not 100% sure if it's not just my contrast acting up again as this is an old monitor.
Also, similarly to the case with the Demi revamp, we seem to be getting rid of a "childlike" pet (or at least of its "childlike" quality), I know there is the chibi color and I personally don't go for the "cute" thing (quite the opposite in fact) but it is perhaps something to consider that Subeta may be losing some of the variety in this way. Sorry if it's not the place to be starting on this topic but I think it is revamp related.

I very much agree with Princess_Isho, especially on the fat bear comment. My criticism otherwise...
First, what's wrong with the old Feli's pose? I've had cats all my life and I've seen them positioned like that quite often. Like when they're just getting up from a nap and sort of rolling into a standing position. I always considered it one of the cutest and most unique poses on Subeta - like it was lying around staring into space as cats often do, but then something got its attention and it sat up to play, also as cats often do.
The new pose, however, is... pardon my bluntness, but it's utterly boring. It's just sitting. No life at all. It might even be worse than that, as cats just do not sit with their feet sticking up like that. I also think the head is too small, and the body looks too stiff, especially the legs. And the outlines are too thick and clunky, the colors are muted and dull, the chest fur is too poofy and... well, rounded... I've never seen round-ended fur... and the tail is too skinny for a feline. Looks more rodent-like. I don't like how it's overlapping with the wings, as well.
I don't see why the old Feli's pose and shading couldn't just be tweaked a little bit. The pose itself is fine, and quite possible, to those of us familiar with the anatomy of cats or even puppies. Only thing really wrong with the old Feli is an out-of-place line or two in its back, and perhaps the toes are a bit on the squarish side. Smooth out those points, smooth out the shading, and the Feli would retain its unique character and not have to fall into the same dull, static, three-quarter, staring-blankly-at-the-viewer pose that so many other quadruped pets here seem to be gravitating to.
Not that it matters, of course. I didn't fill this post with smilies and hearts, which I'm sure will mean it'll automatically be construed as insulting and thus ignored. Oh well. saves old Feli images before they become 10 years older and 30 pounds heavier

I like the new pose, but the old expression was better. Also, the colors seem somewhat more yellow in this version. I liked the orangeness. The hair, too, is a bit too rounded, for my tastes. Just like the first revamp of the Demi, way back when, it looks somehow feathery. =/ But otherwise, very cute. x3 Just make the colors more...bright.
I have to say it looks really nice, better then the old one. I never liked how the old one's body was but this is good.

Yes, I also agree that the tail shouldn't be so thin.
The face is a little stretched out. And I think the black on the right eye gets a little too thick. The ears also seem slightly large for the head.
It seems the chest is far too poofy. Maybe thats why the head doesn't fit with the body. It goes out to the sides too much.
It does seem to have put on some weight, and I wish it hadn't.
Maybe it would be better if the feli was in a different pose. It DOES look uncomfortable. It should be standing up or something I think.
My only suggestion is to hide the right hide foot a little behind the front paws a little more. Or tilt it down a bit. I also agree with enlarging the wings just a bit. But it's so cute still.....hugs, grabs, and runs away with new Feli muttering "cute.....so so SO cute I know I'm strange, but that's what makes me, well, ME!
I think it is very cute And I hate to say it when it's been said enough, but I honestly think the only thing to change would be the tail to be a bit lower^^
I think the new design is a great improvement over the old Feli. The shading and sharp outlines of the new design is far superior, and the proportions are much more realistic. And to be honest, I like the slightly plumper look--a scrawny Feli just isn't healthy.
Overall, I love this new look.

I really love this version! ^^ THe only thing I prefer about the older version was the the orange was more bright, while this one is a bit on the dull side.

I much prefer the position and facial expression of the old feli. To me it looks like daydreaming or looking up to the stars making a wish. Much rather have the wings and tail as seperate details/features. That is why I decided to paint mine twilight. If you were to change anything, I'd re-draw the legs, bring them together. With the legs the way they are, it's like the pet was cleaning and was distracted - Ooo shiny.
The new one has better shading on the chest/ear tufts of fur, as well as the ears. Incorporate that into the old one. Tail is too long and thin. The eyes and overall expression loose the reason I adopted this type of pet in the first place.
I like this one alot better then the old one I just wish it's tail wasn't behind its wing. Also, the color is a little bleh and it looks like it's dragging its butt on the ground XD...other than that I like it much better and I think the artists are being under appreciated lately.

I like both versions, the new one sorta looks bald like it needs some lil fur lines on the top of its head, like a tuft of hair or something? Or maybe its the horn spacing. I don't know, I love it overall though. Its just the roundness of its head looks like a... fryer?

I just miss the young look, made it different.
The anatomy is actually better in this one. The big problem I have with it is that the feli just looks too old to me. Odd enough as that may sound I always imagined the feli as being a orange and purple kitten, forever ensconced in a moment of youth.
This one looks like what I imagine a full grown cat would look like, but not necessarily a kitten.
I'm also not too fond of the expression. The old expression was more playful and I'm going to get you, kind of idea
In comparison this one seems dead.
Anatomically issues such as the thin tail and things of that nature have already been addressed. I will however be voting for the new one.. if only because it's more anatomically correct.
I liek both the old version and the new version. what I like most about the new version is that the feli doens't look like you caught it in the midst of cleaning itself

I think people just think it looks fat is because of the way it's sitting. But it's adorable, really. Just take some time to look at it. Most of the cats in the world are fat anyways. ;B

I do have a bit of constructive criticism though, though most of it has been said by other people...
I am not a fan of how the tail touches the wings... it makes the pet look cramped somehow, even though the rest of it clearly isn't. I think the whole head area leading down into the front legs looks GREAT ^^ But I think the toes of the front paws are a bit too round... if you look at the old Feli, its feet look square at the top like most felines. Harder lines leading into the toes would help that though.
The main thing that I don't like about the new Feli is the pose of the back legs... it just looks really off to me and pretty awkward. I mean, the old Feli's floating back legs were much more awkward, but still. xD I think it makes the Feli look like a fat and lazy kitty rather than a cute and spunky kitty like the first one appears.
Overall though, it looks fantastic, and I may be getting another Feli if the revamp goes through. ^^
I like the idea of the new Feli, but the new feli seems a little bigger than before and it lost its' innocents. The tail some how needs to be a little thicker and in a different position than it is in that picture.

Overall I like the new look better than the old. My only complaint is that the tip of the tail seems to blend too much with the wings so it looks kinda blobby at the nexus point there.
