Tree: Pearl Garlands won't stay where I put them

Every time I try and use a Pearl Garland, it always goes back to the default position. Supposedly it's saved in the position I put it in -- it looks correct on the Decorate Your Tree page including when I reload it -- but in the Tree.php page and from the sCode {tree=pun} then it shows as back where it started from, not where I put it. (My profile and previous posts are showing yesterday's tree.)
Have tried this with and they ALL sneak back home!
Don't know if other ornaments do this too. Don't know if they would behave if I wasn't moving them outside of some unknown safe region.
Have cleared cache, oh so many times have I cleared cache.
Chrome 71.0.3578.80 Laptop running Windows 8.1
Also tried in Firefox Quantum 63.0.3
So, fairly sure that this is an issue with the Pearl Garlands (or with me).

Oh hmm... that is really interesting. Do you think it has to do with this topic? Ornaments slightly off? ??
Maybe it's just the garlands always snap to the same position, and the other ornaments actually stay where you put them, but everything looks off since the garlands always go to a specific place??

Probably. I wasn't sure whether to make this thread or just leave my post on there -- it could be part of the same issue, or it might be a different can of worms.
It's definitely the Pearl Garlands which snap back to the start position! Every other ornament that I've tried stays where I've put it. Note: I have definitely not tried all of them.

Ah okay! I'm gonna leave both topics open for now just in case we're wrong... but I think they might truly be the same thing, so I'm gonna work on getting the garlands to stay put and see if that fixes everyone's problems with it :O

i just always assumed that garlands and string-lights can't actually be moved from their default position. yes you can technically move them around on your tree and it will look like it's saved their position, but your tree will still appear on-site with the default positioning of those decorations. because, you know, that's where they're "supposed" to go, ignoring the fact that some people want to get creative with placement :/
