Usability/random improvement suggestions, basically a list of what would make our lives easier. Topics like this keep popping up and they all get some reactions but never enough to actually make something happen. Subeta is a complicated site where some things can use some smoothing out, this is a compilation of suggestions that would make things a bit easier here.

Mobile Site Make basic site functions work on the mobile site: accepting offers on trades doesn't work, there is no clock, ruffie raffle doesn't work, deleting events doesn't work, posts made on the mobile forums are fucked up, wishlist borders don't show, and probably way more. I can probably write an entire book about this, but I think I've already done so years ago and there is still not a single thing fixed. Mobile Site 2 Drag and drop things like tc's and sticker collection don't work on mobile 3. Mobile friendly games please (like subeku, spectrail)

Thank you for making this list, all the suggestions here are reasonable and useful! I hope they get worked on c:
Loving all these ideas. They are little things but would make the site better for sure.
love this one! I always end up changing my active pet because i accidentaly click on their image
Fixed
Remove unavailable achievements from the 'in progress' list. (Also update the ones you can't get at all anymore with retired. Sick of seeing find the pages for Alexander's achievements.)
ability to temporary silence pings from a certain group. (I'd like this a lot.)
show for all games how many times you played them already. I'm not going to keep count on a sheet of paper how many games i've already done. (It would be nice.)
Alert when your pet is rejected for the pet spotlight. (How would they do that though? I guess maybe an alert that says, "Sorry, you didn't win the spotlight :( Better luck next time.")
Love these suggestions! :D
Forum options definitely need linking from the dashboard as well as from the main forum page nods
I know it'll never likely happen, but I would love it if the rejection could have just a tick box reason given, like "graphics" or "coding" or "story" so we have a rough idea of the reason. I'm not expecting the staff to write a long-winded reason, but I know I've asked for help from fellow Subetans about a particular pet, and I've changed the things they spotted, they all say they can't find anything further wrong with it.... then the pet gets rejected again. It gets a bit disheartening when you end up feeling that you've probably changed things that were perfectly fine, while trying to find the real rejection reason.

ooh, nice, putting all the suggestions together :)
FIXED THINGS
Feature removed and thus no longer relevant:
Not happening:
Bring back the &;you have this item&; when browsing a wishlist
I know it was a very useful feature and would be really great to have, but it isn't feasible. This is not up for debate, sorry. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but people seem hopeful for it so I think it's better to just communicate it clearly that it's not going to happen. :(
reasoning and faq
The decision is made, but I thought some might appreciate an explanation so I took the time to type this up.
In an ideal world, we would have this feature, but in reality the strain it puts on the servers is impractical. For example, if your friend has 500 items on their wishlist, just visiting their wishlist would cause an account search to be done 500 times! That would take a very long time, and would put a lot of strain on our servers.
Why is it that wishlist search (like in shops and galleries) can still work then? A wishlist search only checks if the item is on your wishlist. Even if your wishlist is large, our servers only need to search for the item in one place. But an account search has to check multiple places: your inventory, your vault (which can have thousands of different items), your pet treasures, your shops and galleries.... It isn't just a single database search, but many searches need to be done to search the whole account. So even account-searching for a single item is expensive (in terms of computing time/power). Account-searching for hundreds of items at a time is just too much.
Can't Subeta bring the feature back now that we have better servers? Nope. The servers have improved and a lot of lag has been eliminated. But the problem with the "you have this item" feature wasn't that we had broken servers, it's that the feature is inherently inefficient. Think about it this way: a wishlist page that account-searches 500 items should be 500 times laggier than the account-search feature itself (which only searches one item). No matter how efficient we make this, it won't change the fact that it's still doing a very large amount of work, more than we can dedicate to this page. We do not have unlimited computing resources, so we have to pick and choose which features to have and this one just requires too much of those resources to be feasible.
What used to be in this post
@ Undoubtedly
i'm not going to take 12 off until it actually happens though.
Added your suggestion of updating the retired achievement list. (a.k.a number 15 now on the list.)
And for 17, yeah something like an alert that says 'Sorry, your pet still needs some work and has been booted from the pet spotlight queue'.
@ paddy Hmm i think there has been a suggestion about that before but it was a no because it took time.

nods that's true, although it could help cut down on the amount of resubmitted pets that still aren't up to standard, so that might balance out?

true, you can make a topic about it to see what they say? I certainly would like something like that because my pets keep getting rejected and sometimes i don't know why and no one on the pet spotlight help board knows why either.

Ice and Wind mage amulets, tomes, shards, and dark potions. It's been talked about several times and yet we're still waiting for them to make an appearance.

I've had exactly the same thing with one of mine!
I'll make a topic now :D

And what exactly would that change/improve? I don't know a thing about battling so I'm not sure how it fits within this topic.

Currently, we have all the other elements as mage amulets, et. al. but ice and wind are both missing. Originally, they were supposed to be included, but for some reason, they simply were not. It makes no sense to continue excluding them.
Since turning in mage amulets can result in either a tome or shard, having ice and wind shards would be useful in blocking attacks from opponents who favor those elements (Ice King for example).
Having a Dark Ice/Wind Potion would be used to inflict damage on opponents who are weak to those elements.
It's been a common complaint amongst battlers. Yet we continue to go unheard in our plight for ice and wind mage amulets et. al.

LISTS OF GOOD THINGS THAT SHOULD HAPPEN , I APPROVE!
I did admittedly skimread so if these are already mentioned please ignore me:
This post makes me so happy. I think all of these issues have been reported before, but they keep getting overlooked. It'll be nice to finally have them taken care of.
