The group exists so people can get advice, help and congrats for all the hard work they put into their pets. Our aim is to assist you in getting your pet spotlight ready. You can be a previous winner or you could be working on your very first pet, anyone is welcome to join. We're here to support you and your wonderful pets!
Rules: Be polite and patient, we are volunteers who do this in our own time. Please do not ping the group for pets that are completely blank, we can't help you if you haven't put in any work yet. (i.e. no story, no profile, no TC whatsoever) Be specific when asking for assistance. Link to the pet/s you are requesting assistance with, this makes it quick and easy for us to look at them.
Linking your Pet: To link to a pet use the following code. Change both of the PETNAME parts to the name of the pet that you need feedback on.

Update: There have been some changes made to the rules regarding suitable pet Profiles. Rah has kindly confirmed that Muerte's post is pretty much accurate, see below for details.

Edit: The last one went past 1000 pages long ago and with the new 1000 post limit on threads we needed a new one.
Thank you and best wishes for your pets!

[/font]Is McGann ready? Or am I the only person here who likes haikus?
I love how clean the profile looks and the text is great and easy to read! However I find big chunks of text intimidating to get through - maybe breaking it up with some images or even playing around with spoiler text codes for a more interactive feel would be a fine way to present it? Definitely not entirely necessary (I think it looks great and clean and amazing!) but something to think about if you wanted to!
I think your profile looks super good! I love the clean fresh colours. In the absence of a 'story' as such (I love the idea of a haiku though, keeping it nice and simple!) you might want to deck the profile out with a treasure chest/artwork/minion or something like that.
Love it! My only thing was "pamphlet or magazine", it snagged the flow for me a little. Maybe "piece of parchment" or something a bit more vague? It felt like I got pulled out of the story to decide if I wanted that text to be on a pamphlet or a magazine. I don't know why, maybe since it was right at the beginning? Either way I loved the story, pet, and profile!!
hey again pals. this isn’t my typical work, but i wanted to try something different. just in time for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition’s release, i’ve completed a Reaper tribute pet to celebrate my favorite franchise.
i tried to make the profile itself seem like a discovered datapad/codex, with multiple entries that the holder is viewing. the text within is a summary of these topics in my own words, with plenty of references and easter eggs thrown in.this one was kinda experimental, so lemme know what you think! as always, thanks to anyone who takes the time to check it out. & if you’re not a mass effect fan, that’s ok. (tho now’s the perfect time to jump in!)
Ahhh, love the story (hermits can totally have fun) and that profile just fits together so nicely ^0^
adorable. love the use of color <3

I love how everything comes together on Absolute's profile! It all matches very well.
On a side note, the progress I've made on Manor is the closest I've felt to having a pet ready for spotlight. I still need a real profile for him and to fill his treasure chest but I feel he's come along nicely.
Right! Currently the bg is just a placeholder for testing and the rest is mine so I didn't even think about doing it at the moment but I'll definitely make sure to add that in! Thank you!
Hey guys! I'm kind of new and just discovered this thread. Maybe you might give me an impression on whether I am good to go or should maybe ... tone it down? :D
That was my first little project. Most of my pets are kind of experimental and influenced by some stuff that I am currently interested in. Here, I wanted to design a take on a character from Rune Factory 4 after a certain plot point. It's supposed to feel kinda riddling to not spoil too much, but give people who are familiar with the character some insight. I really like it and wouldn't change too much, I believe. That's my second pick and here I have some issues. I am not sure, whether it's a little too much? I love playing around with the design, but I fear that it gets inaccessible and laggy for some people. Also, I believe that people might not be interested in any of the plot since I would love to slowly build up this little universe of main surrounding that ominous organization and such. Maybe this is just my impostor syndrome speaking, haha. Speaking of which, here I am trying out something different. I was inspired by the five new books for Vesnali and kinda wanted to actually write the stories! It's a play on the old online piracy culture to underline the criminal vegetable energy, haha. I also found it fun to link it to one of my favorite children's books from my childhood which is about an onion boy destroying the fruit monarchy, haha.Hope that's not too much for one post, haha. I am still kinda finding my way around here, so I appreciate aaany kind of feedback!
creative limboGosh I love the expansion on the bad vegetable gang. What an interesting idea!
That said, maybe it's the pure black and white, maybe it's the font, but I find that the text gets hard to read after a while, particularly on the book sections once you click in for more information. Since that might be where the bulk of your text goes, maybe try a bigger font?
Also, not sure if this was your intention, but each pops up in a different place. Turnip Gal pops up over the library and makes it a bit difficult to click to other stories.
Thanks for the response! <3 The descriptions made me genuinely laugh and it's absolutely up my alley haha. I definitely want those windows to pop up somewhere to make it a little more random and chaotic. That one will have to move a little to the right, I believe. I absolutely agree on the font tho. I will look into some way to make it still look authentic and readable, haha.
