I am doing Blue Building quests and got an unattainable item so I had to quit (I hate to do that! Don't you?). I wrote a ticket, because it didn't seem fair to get an item that is not "get-able". Then the next quest asked to get the same item AGAIN. This is the reply I got, and that reply is why I am pinging you all (forgive the double pings). Please comment and add your group pings too. Maybe we can get this changed?
Same!!! Yesterday I got asked for an item that's unattainable on one of the regular quests (think it was from the cursed quest) I don't remember the item but yea I had to quit the quest... only 1/15 though but it's still annoying xD
I would also agree, though not sure how easy it would be to do because how do you know when the item is obtainable? At what point do they add it into the quests?
That is for the programmers to decide. Within a few weeks I would imagine; fast RSers would buy them and have them in shops by then. One would have to option to buy an expensive item or quit, but I had no option. None anywhere, not in galleries, trades or shops for that half an hour. Please ping your friends and groups.
I agree-- maybe there should be a small waiting window before new items are added to the quest queue. I had to quit my last wizard quest (damn you for losing me my 50pt token!) yesterday because it asked for :
That item is only a r69, but it's a plushie, so collectors aren't gonna let the price drop for a while. Same goes for wearables-- the highly-sought-after cocoa gifts have been around for months and aren't THAT high in rarity, but they're all still super expensive because most users put them in their wardrobe when they get them. The only versions that aren't crazy-high are the ones that were available in the mystery box a couple weeks back!
Those gifts are also food so not only are people putting them in wardrobes but they are eating them too -at least I am- DX
As nice as this suggestion sounds, I personally don't think that every quest should be doable. Of course it's annoying when you have to quit a quest but does it happen so often that it really makes a big difference?
ah that's totally true! I got a ton from the mystery box (i considered it my personal mission that day to help bring the price down. LOL) and fed 3 of them to my gourmand-in-training! I totally forgot about that!
"This is your first time opening this, so these items are now in your inventory! " ;_; thank you anon! <3<3<3
ofc I agree! I remember I got quests for new released beanbags some days back.. only one copy was sold in user shop for like 50M. :( :D

I love how cute and chilly-wintry your HA is!
Your Ha is so sad and cute!
And BTW I TOTALLY agree that new items should not be asked for. It's ridiculous to pay 30,000,000 for a bean bag that in 3 months will be 30,000 (or less). I also quit any quest that asks for newly released and over-inflated items. I hate having to quit them because it offsets my quest points.

I really really extremely want:Thank you :3 I'm using it for nearly a year I guess? Sometimes I try to use another avatar but I always quickly change back to this one.
I was under the impression that the quests ask for items based on keywords in the name and the description, and on rarity, and therefore there's no actual way to turn off certain items from being asked for in quests. Correct me if I'm wrong.
But I agree with above. Not all quests need to be doable. Hell, quests themselves are too profitable as they are imo, but that's a different argument.
I have had that happen before too. It is extremely disappointing and frustrating. I play for the enjoyment of it. The people playing also keep me here. Having something impossible to obtain pop up in a quest chain that then cannot be finished takes away from enjoyment of doing it. Thankfully, it is a rare occurrence. I think a βwaiting windowβ would be a good solution to the problem of including a newly released item too soon. :)

Quests - Can&;t Find Items This thread in the Suggestions & Ideas thread was also talking about this problem. (And yes, I say problem.)
It's one thing to have to quit a quest because an item is too expensive. It's a different matter entirely to have to quit a quest because there isn't a single item in shops. The quest is physically impossible to complete, rather than just "difficult."
I propose a simple time limit. Items that have been released in the last handful of weeks cannot enter the quest pools. (If they're still overpriced/rare after that, well, bummer. But this might give them a better chance to at least make it to the shops.)
Considering there are quests that have a rough upper-bound for the price of item the ask for (Saggi, Library, Quentin, and Maleria) I wouldn't have thought it would be difficult to make it so the other quests just didn't ask for items that had no price at all.
I was once asked for an item that wasn't even "released" yet. Totally confused me as to where that item came from. I didn't find out until like five minutes later when a news post went out. That was annoying.
I sometimes dread doing Mori/Nori quests right after (as in that day) new items are released as I find they tend to be the ones who asks for them right away.

I agree newly released items shouldn't be asked for in quests. I would suggest a minimum of 2 weeks, but a month would be better.
Its one thing if a quest cannot be done because no items have yet appeared in shops, vs. a very expensive item asked for because its desirable. The first is beyond frustrating, if feels unfair. The second is just a mild annoyance.
