Wasn't quite sure where to post this; but it's really more of a game than anything, despite my taking it seriously ;)
So ... Post what you had for breakfast this morning!
Image or text, healthy or not; what did you eat to start off your day? :) Feel free to include recipes / secret tricks too [sup]how do you get those poached eggs just right?[/sup] Whatever strikes your fancy ;)

I woke up to find that someone had eaten the turkey I wanted for an omelette, so sadly had to make do with toast and jam.
FYI I'm a full breakfast kind of gal; and toast is not a full breakfast in my book ;P
Behind the game - for those with interest
So I made what might be a strange goal to some this year; I want to eat more food.
Why? Well for various reasons I have a very restrictive diet, so restrictive that barely anything I can eat would be considered as 'makes you put on weight'; you know something is odd when your dietary professor tells you NOT to cut off any fat.
Because of the above I am underweight, quite a bit underweight in fact. Now I'd just like to mention that I am not anorexic or anything like that, in fact I LOVE to eat, even if I can't eat a lot of what others do. My current problem, rather, is that I am lazy: My food takes effort to prepare, there is no breakfast that I can just pull out of a cupboard and pour milk on (no appetising breakfast anyway), and my lazy disposition has led to me skipping breakfast for nearly 6 months ... which isn't helping me at all.
But! It's a new year, and even though I don't usually do the 'resolutions' thing, I thought I would try and put some real effort into eating at least a little better this year. I easily wimp out of things though, and that is the reason for this 'game'; to give me just that extra reason to bother cooking something. Enjoy the game guys, and enjoy your food - I can tell you that 'free from' stuff isn't always as nice ;P
I had scrambled eggs, hash browns, and cheese grits for breakfast! I love breakfast food!
One of my resolutions is to plan out meals for the week. Here's to our food related resolutions!

Ooo hash browns, yums <3 Best of luck with your resolution :) Meal planning in our house kind of goes to pot when people just snack out of the fridge; our someone struck again so dinner could be interesting today xD
^ My breakfast today, and Mum's
Fried up some mashed potato+cajun seasoning with eggs and tomatoes, along with some grapefruit [sup]some very strong grapefruit xP[/sup]
I'm lazy too and a terrible cook and I've got to eat a lot (very fast metabolism plus I exercise almost every day) and this morning it was a protein shake with high calories (:
Haha, I'm only good at frying stuff really; too lazy to do all the steps in the right order for other things, I'd rather just throw everything in a pan ;P
Woke up not feeling the best today so had something easy on the stomach, if a bit weird for breakfast; jacket potato with tuna and some sweetcorn :) Was going to take a picture, but my phone was in the other room, lol
Chili con carne mini pies, and hot chocolate. Mostly because they were already thawed and I have trouble getting up in the mornings. The work great for about every other meal as well.
A strange buzzing sound, occasionally varying in pitch. Speak wind, and cast the world into chaos.
I had greek yogurt with granola, honey, and bananas! I also do oatmeal a lot when I need something filling to get me through the day--lately with lemon juice, ginger, and honey. In the summer I put fresh fruit in it, or on cereal. Peaches, blueberries, and strawberries are my favorite for that, when I can get them!
I don't know why, I'm not hungry until midday. So I have breakfast around lunch time. Usually its leftovers.
This morning I ate a blueberry oatmeal bar. Definitely nothing special but I needed something in my stomach to take some medicine.

i had a piece of nazook for breakfast. nazook is a kinda sweet armenian pastry. super yummy.
Grilled black bread and fried egg-cheese sandwitch, Heinz baked beans and garlic ketchup dip. And for dessert a vanilla cream bun. ☺
I skipped breakfast.

I've become addicted to Nesquick Duo recently, so that's what I had for breakfast this morning. I should probably switch back to a healthier (or at least not as unhealthy) cereal or breakfast option.
Have you tried overnight oats? They're a bit more of a full breakfast option in my opinion, and don't take much more effort than basically pouring milk over them and leaving them to sit overnight. Also, my mom used to make egg muffins (basically just scrambled eggs made in a muffin tin), so if you don't want to make breakfast in the morning, you could try making those every few days and just reheating them in the morning.

- I'm also underweight (hug)! Mine is due to a genetic disorder called "Mast Cell Activation Syndrome" (sounds like a power ranger or voltron move to me) - I can eat and eat and eat but minimal gets absorbed...
Because of that I too have a restrictive or limited diet- I have to eat vegan, nut free, "low Histamine" foods only...
So my breakfast was a vitamin rich salad! Yay! (I like to start the day off with tons of vitamins because being vitamin deficient increases the chance of allergic reactions)
I use any fresh greens/veggies/herbs in my fridge or home garden (I have one of those tabletop grown lamps)
Today that was- romaine, kale, arugula, basil, thyme, sprouts, cucumbers, & cauliflower - I top with homemade cornbread croutons & olive oil dressing. I also had left over roasted squash seeds so I added those as well for crunch.
Sometimes if I'm feeling extra hungry I make up a side of homemade roti or Chapati (It's really good dunked in salad dressing)
I make my spouses breakfast too! They had coffee and a chocolate glazed donut lol. More traditional
An English Muffin.

Today I had waffles made with oat flour, puréed squash (instead of eggs), olive oil (instead of butter), and fruit juice (instead of milk). I topped some squares with organic maple syrup and others homemade blueberry jam & seed butter - yum!
Cold Cereal.
