How active are you when it's about pet name clearings? Are you constantly checking accounts, keeping a list etc. or is all that stress too much for your old heart and you prefer to take what is left after the stampede?

When was the last time you tried to snag a name and did you get it?

I have to say that I haven't checked any accounts for months now, my last clearing is so long ago that I can't even tell anymore which name I've snagged back then. I'm not even sure what changed my mind, it's not that I cannot work with the new system, got some really nice names since the clearings got changed. Okay, one reason might be that a few names I had planned to try for last year were also on the list of good buddies and in that case I usually just step back or send them the pet afterwards because I would feel mean otherwise. coughs XD

I've actually spent all night going through accounts trying to find a name I like. I have a couple that are ok for me, but I've racked up a long list of nice names that I know other people would like. My classes today were cancelled, so it looks like I'm going to be at this for awhile longer, hoping I find a name I love. _

(Batmobile is a name someone can grab nice amirite?)

Well, currently I have a list with one name. But the name likely won't ever clear, because the user apparently keeps logging in to make sure the account doesn't get cleared, but the person isn't active on Subeta.

I think I managed to snag a really good name last time for someone else? Other than that, I don't really remember. I don't have a long list of awesome names. :D

I have a list of names I am interested in, which I constantly check^^

I only have two problems going with it:

1. I always run out of slots all too fast
2. I am a lazy butt and it takes me ages to finish a pet/character even if I am lucky enough to get a name I wanted Dx

The last name I wanted was Piers which I luckily managed to get snuggles him I already have a character, story and all in mind (going to use him in a RP in the near future too) but then again I just have no ideas/motivation to make him a nice layout/profile... :c

The last name i wanted someone grabbed so i gave up.. Im not really fast enough to grab names that are really nice.

I did manage to grab Shinobi though i consider hat lucky

There was a name I stalked for months that cleared right when I had to be at work. I asked my brother to try and get it for me and he failed. :(

How do you guys know when names will clear? There's this name I'm looking at but it's not "inactive" yet, and I can't figure out if the user has been inactive for a while or if they still play because they don't have that info on their profile. I can't judge by their recent posts because if I did, they would have been inactive years ago. Basically I'm just wondering if there's a way to figure out if I'm wasting my time checking the pet over and over or not.

Does a friend have a name clearing that I can help with? Then yes, I will help! I've gotten several names for friends in the last 2 months and I'm happy for them! I've even gotten some in the middle of class.

But when I want a name it's a whoole different thing.

I've gone after 5 names in the last two months, and 4 out of 5 were taken.The last one I got was Nygma, and that was because my sister was fast enough to grab him for me. I'm not mad, not by any means, but it's amazing that I can get names for other people but not for myself. xD

I've been browsing since I have a slot open, but I can never find anything about to expire that tickles my fancies haha. I'm probably just not looking hard enough. Its not like I'm in a hurry anyway, since I'm relatively inactive.

I've never snagged my pet names that were clearings on my own. ;~; I guess I'm too slow or others are way too quick. Oh well! The last pet I got was Regal, who my sister was fast enough to snag for me. :P

Clearings stress me out! They're at 4am for me so I normally have to set an alarm otherwise I forget. The last Clearing I helped out with I didn't manage to get the name for my friend 8C, but otherwise during Clearings i'm a bit hit and miss. The last name I got was Extinct only cause it wasn't popular.

I'm sort of in between. I usually search names spur of the moment and come across some that I'd love to snag that are set to clear within a month or so. I was stalking a name for like almost half a year at one point. I usually keep a note on my notepad widget with the name and clearing date. I think most of my pets names were actually open when I snatched them up. I believe it was Dainty, Speakeasy, and Ladylike that I got from cleared accounts. Oh, and maybe Flurries?

When was the last time you tried to snag a name and did you get it? I attempted to snag the name Leandra in December. It was set to clear on the 11th, the user hadn't posted in like a year or two so I thought hey, maybe they'll forget about their account. Shortly before it was set to clear they logged in. YOU DID NOT LOG IN TO "CHECK ON YOUR PETS". Like what the hell does that even mean? So, obviously I didn't get it. ; A ;

UGH. THAT'S THE WORST. It's like, you haven't been active in almost a year and like right before the name is set to clear you decide to log in to "check on your pets". Bullshit. And then they disappear that same day.

I've never really stalked for clearings, just because I'm a)low on slots and b)typically just not that invested in snagging nice real word names.

However, I was fortunate enough to snag the name Cru recently! It'd been bothering me that I hadn't managed to get the pet with my handle, so I just happened to check at the right moment and see that it had been made inactive~ ovo Finally had a reason to redeem my loyalty slot and snatched it up!

Well, to be perfectly fair, I can't really see if they are completely inactive. But there seem to have been SOME forum posting more than a year ago, and there hasn't been any since. And I can't really see anything else that happened on their profile.

I've snagged a name after forgetting about it for months, apparently.

My next snag attempt is on my birthday, May 23rd so I'm not working on that day :)

I kind of enjoy clearings, but I do still feel a little stressed when I'm helping out friends with names. Most times, I'd rather miss one I'm going after than one they've been watching. |D;

The last name I snagged was Terra, which was about a week ago. c: I have a small list of names that I check on pretty frequently and sometimes when I'm bored I look up basically anything interesting that comes to mind (usually only to be reminded that a buddy already owns them hahaha oops). I don't think most of the names I'm stalking now have much of a chance of clearing, but I guess since I'm nearly out of spaces, I can live with that.

Last name I was lucky enough to snag when it cleared was Aragorn, but I missed out on Legolas this time last year; we were all the same bunch of people going for them both, it was pretty funny in the end.

There are a few names I've been eyeing up with my last LB, but I have so much going on I just don't have the heart to steal such great ones away from people who'd do more with them!

I tend to find names, forget all about them and then find them again later. I don't usually have the monies to change names(expensive TC's are my burden) and new pet slots are a rarity so I mostly do it for the curiosity. I don't want to get super hung up on a name I can't guarantee I'll get. My poor little ticker can't take that :c (also I haven't been super active for a while so that doesn't help but let's not think about that)

I have a list of names I'm keeping an eye on, but I don't really look for names that regularly? I go through periods where I look up a lot of names and note down the nice ones, and then I usually forget about them until after they've cleared and been snagged by someone more deserving who was paying attention. :P

I get the feeling most of the names I like aren't actually that popular anyway. Though the last one I got in a clearing was Scoundrel, which I was really happy about because I thought that would definitely be one people would go for.

I have done the name stalking thing before. Lately though I've been pretty content with what I have. I think there's only been one time I went after a name and didn't get it but I got over it fairly quickly.
