Well now it makes sense that I was getting pings from Jenn yet nothing posted on the other thread...someone should maybe post over there to come here since people are still actively posting over there...just a thought :)

So much going on today around the house...I swear I get things done and then wham - change my mind and rearrange things yet again...eventually I'll be all ten ways of happy with how everything looks, but at the moment I just can't seem to make up my mind...on the agenda today - the kitchen...some things just aren't functional where they are so time to play swap-swap :)

I've already pinged the group to come here and I've asked the moderator to lock our old one, so it shouldn't be an issue. Congrats Mina, I haven't gotten anything from there in a while either!

I might be able to lock that thread since I created it. I'll try.

edit: Well, there's a lock symbol on the old thread for me, but nothing happens when I click it. I guess we'll have to wait for staff to lock it.

And, wow, we created that topic in 2009! I can't believe how old it was (and I know we've had others before that one). I'm so glad that there are still a lot of us around.

New thread! Haven't been on lately, mostly lurking. Subeta is kinda boring to me lately. Everything internet is, really. I've been doing my quests and that's it.

I got promoted! I am now the mercury analyst. The previous analyst got a new job and now he's training me. Going to really miss him. He's my favorite person at work so it's going to be sad to see him go, but good for him that he has a better job and good for me for moving up and getting a raise. I no longer have to prep for two other analysts. I get to do my own prep and my own analyzing. So yay! Basically I am analyzing for mercury in water/soil/biota samples.

It's stressful though. I have a lot of work to do for the next two weeks. A lot of prepping for what I currently do and a crash course in learning mercury. At least I have a head start and I do some mercury prep now to help him out. I have to learn the instruments and the methods.

So yeah, that's what's up with me. Been very busy this year so far. Which is weird for us this time of year. I'm going to go back to lurking now lol

I made an outfit for the contest! When I saw that wig the first thing I thought of was the liquid wings hehe. Hope it doesn't look too cheesy or plain, I didn't spend too much time on it but loved being able to play dress up with stuff I don't have :)

Thanks all for the love. Step father is doing ok. Mom and him made the call today and moved him to a hospice. It was in the best interest for both of them. We are down to weeks.. Mom, my brother and I think it will be a miracle if he makes it to Easter...Sigh. Trying to keep busy.. busy week back to teaching and a cake project for the weekend, so thats good..
