Ok....this was here when I woke up....what the hell is this?? (I know what it is I looked but wtf!?) So...I wake up with a guilt trip to spend money or what...Subeta goes down the next day??? I mean I am happy for you guys making the site more stable...Im grateful for the events you put on...and I spend money every month...but the begging bar makes me feel like shit...and stressed out honestly. I come here to relax and now I have to worry about two things:

1. the site suddenly shutting down because they feel they arent making enough money
2. all the money I put into the site, CWS, MY ART, just poofing??!!

I am hoping you will explain this sudden need for a bar, but for right now it just pisses me off. OH NOT TO MENTION YOU HAVE NO END GOAL IN SIGHT...so we have no idea how much money your asking for. Just ridiculous...and the sudden need for it when there is no mention of problems in the past.

It's hardly a begging bar. I mean, for god's sake, Reddit has a "daily reddit gold goal" progress bar on the front page. [edit] Which is also where I'd like this one to be. On the front page, not following you all over the site.

Why not just put the goal bar in the cash shop if they want to put it somewhere? It sort of makes me anxious sitting there...staring at me. My anxiety is bad enough I don't need a site I go to to relax shoving shit like this in my face. :(

I'm finding it offensive. I don't mind there being a bar available. But it's being put into my personal info widget. Yes, the number of users online is also there, but that's relevant to me, because of a) the achievement, b) more users = more rares restocked (if it still works the way it used to), and c) lag issues.

This, however, makes it seem that this is my daily support bar. Not only is it a guilt trip, but it feels like it's begging me personally for money. I am living paycheck to paycheck, and barely able to pay my bills. Like Hell am I going to put money into something that a) isn't required for continued living, or b) I do not physically own.

Furthermore, while I could close the widget, I still have to be shown the offensive bar every time I want to check my on-hand sP.

I'm not concerned for the bar itself, but for the reason to put it there. Is subeta in financial trouble and if we don't fill the bar (daily/weekly/monthly?) what will be the result? Closing, just like that?

I don't mind it (though I did feel a pang of guilt seeing it even though I've spent $30 today on csc) but it does make me wonder if Subeta is getting down to the wire on funds...I mean, should I still be spending money here? What if we don't spend enough daily to keep the site afloat? It makes me nervous :(

So many users have expressed wanting to know more about where Subeta stands in terms of people buying CSC.

If you read the board by you'll find an explanation. The site isn't rolling in money, contrary to the thoughts of people.

I agree the placement if strange, and would be more fitting on the newspage, but the attitudes here are lame.

The wardrobe is broken, the forums (are getting better) are broken, the achievement system is broken, but you don't see any problems?

Also no end goal? I'm going to go out on a li m b and guess a functioning site would be in there.

To me the bar comes off just as I said, if we dont make this money, the site goes down and everything you had/worked for is lost including the money you did spend. Im hoping its not the intent. But there is a lot of people on this site who cant afford to send money constantly or at all. The fact that the bar is there under our names means we have to look at it daily, constantly, while we do our things, so what happens when its getting ready to day reset and the bar isnt filled?

I am also surprised by the bar because they are working to make the site "better" (yes I put it in " because a lot of things are broken and being worked on) which tells me they have money for a programmer and to push these changes through...and it comes after the sP/money sink of Peka-Boo....I did enjoy the event...but to just have that happen, which earned money and then to put up the bar...seems...I want to say rude...so thats what Im going to say.

I don't mind the bar, however I agree that it would fit better on the News Page.

I'm sorry but it really bothers me having that bar right there making me feel guilty for not spending more money on the site. Are things going so badly that you had to do this? Cause to be honest the thought that this site is in such deep trouble and it might go to hell in the next future makes me want to stop spending any money and riduce my loss, not splurging more o__O

I'd be glad to see it moved to the front page. I'm too poor anyway, it's not offending me.

i feel like this is a step forward toward better transparency. how is it any more exploitive than say, a political campaign team saying "we want to earn X dollars this month, here is our progress"?

besides i think something like this could potentially soothe users' fears that the site is in financial straits. if we see that progress bar being filled on a fairly regular basis, that's reassuring. if days are going by where it's barely getting a fraction of the way there, then we know our worries have basis. again, transparency.

Does Subeta have daily bills? I am struggling to understand why this was done on a daily level, and not monthly...

What happens if/when new items are released to the Cash Shop and more than that day's goal is met, will the next day start out with part of the bar already done?

OK so I went to searows post....its on the last two pages...were they suggested trying to roll out a subeta v2 or that they are having data amount problems....I get this...but I dont read stuff like that daily. A lot of people dont...they sound like they are trying to earn money to try and make the site better? and explain that even though we are putting money into the site its not as much as we think?

For me...Ive had a lot of other games Ive played suddenly crash and everything is gone. I know its a chance we take...but again...it makes me very paranoid to do anything here. I feel like I should start looking for another game because it is all just gone.

I dont think I am having a bad attitude. I am being protective of myself. I know we dont get the volume of neopets or anything...but it is very.....disconcerting.
