Well I mean, it's obvious what it was based off of, but people keep claiming it to be a raptor, and pointing out anatomical features of a raptor that the velosotor should have, when that's not really the case. XD I know what you are saying about the tail, though I guess I'm a bit biased. I like how the tail seems very flexible, and as was pointed out, I think they kind of had to make the tail that way, else the picture would be too large. XD

Gararu- But because of the weight balance on it, the tail needs to act as a counterbalance or whatever. It looks like it might fall forward. xD But yeah, I get what your saying. Just, the raptor look is really strong here, and with the claw in there, it sugests that it is a raptor. xD Either the tail has to stick out in back some, or it has to stand up and change the center of gravity it has. xDDD; I don't mean to be rude or anyhtign, the art is AMAZING. But it looks kind of weird in that way. I'm not saying too much about the hands or face cause it's not supposed to be identical to a raptor. But I feel the tail needs fixing. xD

I can't say I really like this new one. The face and jaw don't look quite right, a bit too wide. It reminds me more of a bird beak that a raptor face. Something, I don't know what, but something bothers me about the transition area from the hind leg to the tail. And, this part is probably just me seeing things, but the claws on the hands look really huge, almost oversized, compared to the hand's general size. I almost want to say that the neck is a bit too wide/thick as well, it seems like it should be a bit more on the narrow side. But that may very well be me seeing things again. ... Well... As long as the darkmatter pose isn't changed I'll be happy.

id also say my biggest problem here are not the little anatomical issues, but that the pic is..well, its a good great pic of a velociraptor (although the animal on it seems to be a little big keeping in mind that those raptors werent bigger than 70cm). and oh, its supposed to be a pet of a website? didnt notice, looks exactly like a reallife dinosaur.

Ugh, the old one is much better. The art is awesome on the revamp, but it just doesn't seem like a good pet!

What everyone needs to realize is...the Velosotor is NOT a raptor. It isn't suppose to be a raptor, it isn't suppose to resemble one. Remember what the staff said about the Ontra when it got revamped? They are trying to steer away from pets resemblence to real life animals, so critiquing it and saying it is wrong based on the body design of a velociraptor isn't very fair.

Overall, I like this revamp, but the thing that jumped out at me the most as being off is definitely the head. I'm glad to see it didn't lose its smile, since I know that's something people like about Velosotors, but something about it just looks sort of goofy. Not RIDICULOUSLY so, but noticeably. I think making the head less bulky and more elegant/streamlined would help this, as well as an adjustment of the mouth. :3 (I wasn't sure how to phrase that correctly, so I hope I'm not being unclear!) The sickle claw is what I'm really torn [hah] on, since it is awesome, but there's something I like about the feet on the original too. :c I agree with fiftyfive in that the hindclaws seem too big- they look like they should belong to a much larger animal- and I'm not sure I like the idea of making its foreclaws into silly T-Rex fingers either. (I know, I know, it's a Subeta pet, not a real animal, but it's the easiest way to refer to them. xDD) The articulated hands were better, I think. The cramped pose does not help the overall chunkier look of the pet, but I'm not sure if there's a way to fix that. Perhaps relaxing the pose of the arms? I really hope that didn't sound TOO nitpicky. u_u I really do like this revamp overall! And I've been very impressed with the artists' abilities to review the feedback of users and make adjustments accordingly, so I hope this time will be no different. :3

I voted for the revamp, because I've been wanting this pet revamped for a while. BUT, I think the head is a little...too awakward. The snout is wrong somehow, it needs to have some of the bone skimmed off at an angle to give it a narrower, more pointed snout. Possibly needs the snout to be shortened a bit too. And he needs to look less like a bully. :/ Velosoraptors are more cunning then bullies. Tyranosaurs are bully-ish, velocoraptors are the more cunning ones.

Ok. I hope this works, and if it does, no one should laugh at my paint edit. I only have paint, and I fail at computer drawing stuff. But...

Just changing the tail makes it feel less cramped and more raptor like, without making it less cute. xD I know, you8 can't do it like that cause it is too long, but mabey it could be turned a little or somethign? xD; Does anyone see how the still tail is more true to a raptor though? :/

Its body looks a little stiff and its face is very creepy, and a bit long. It has a weird grin that makes it look really odd, but other than that, it looks ok

And woah. Side by side, I like the old one better. The arms are loose and look (more) natural. xD And though cute, it does not remind me of a puppie. xD

I'm in love with the legs and neck in the new one, but that is about it. It's nice art, but it says T-Rex more then Raptor.

Hm. I adore the sickle claws on the feet.

But the pose feels a tad cramped, mostly with the arm and claws on the hands being kind of stiff for a raptor. The bendy tail is weird too on a raptor, because their tails are stiff and don't bend much, they are for balance. xD raptor nerd

It's a very big improvment, but it seems a tad off balance and a little thick for a raptor. Buyt then, I'm picky. I'm glad to see a revamp though~! : D

The art on this is awesome. I love it. I feel the character of the pet has changed though. I was one of the few people that always liked velosotors. I'm having a hard time deciding which to vote for. The art is amazing, its just the character that seems to be missing. -thinks-

You know, I've never been a big velosotor fan to begin with, and a revamp isn't about to change that. That being said, this is the first time I've ever voted against a revamp, despite the fact that, as always, the art is a wonderful improvement.

I think, though, what's turning me off is the fact that it's such an utter departure from the velosotor's personality - that coy, knowing elegance. This revamp makes me think more of the current velosotor's bully of an older brother, if that makes any sense.

Retaining some of the former delicacy - even just a touch would be enough - could make all the difference in the world.

I thought that the thing just had those toes sticking up, like it was drumming it's toes in a menacing manner. If that makes sense. xD

Umm, yeah. If those toes are actually STUCK like that, like sickle claws, I don't like the idea. I thought it was cool when I thought that it just had those toes sticking up at the moment, but if their toes are actually stuck like that, that's just weird. o_O

And I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to agree with Balet and say that it would look pretty sweet with butterfly wings. ROFL!

Also, I know a lot of people here said that it doesn't have to be cuter to be better, but... The thing is, is that anyone who would have wanted the old Velosotor and owns one now, wanted a cuter pet. Generally a lot of people wouln't like having their ''cute'' pets being revamped into ''cool'' pets.

So, yeah. I can understand that it may be very upsetting to someone who owns one now to see their pet be revamped into something COMPLETELY different.

Nestly: Ooooo. I could see some slight improvements, but yes, definitely a better version the the current one.

I especially love how the one claw on the feet is turned up like that, like the real Raptor. XD Very nice touch.

Although I do like the appearance of the revamp very much (the artist is very talented), I still prefer the old Velosotor, and would like to keep my Cream Velosotor the very same way.

Art-wise, it's a big improvement. However, I don't think it preserves enough of the feel of the old Velosotor. The new claws on the hands are much too large; I liked the old one's slender fingers. The shape of the skull and the expression also need to be changed, and in a semi-major way. Old velosotor = knowing, gentle, almost deer-like or unicorn-like in expression and mood. Revamp = smirky, less intelligent, and a lot more reptilian.

You may be right, Aicona. Just like how they screwed up a skeleton and called it the Brontosaurus. (They used bones from different creatures.)

Oh wow, what lovely art -- much improved! It does look "smirky" now though, instead of looking knowing and even a bit coy like it did before. That change in attitude this revamp has would probably bug the heck out of me if I currently had a Velosotor, but I don't, so it doesn't bother me.

Hmmm, while i prefer the revamp (depsite my indifference overall for the species) something is irking me about the hands. The claws seem a bit too large. Not necessarily too LONG, just... a bit too large.

This revamp is great, I love the big raptor claws on the toes :3 But the snout seems a little large, and beakish. I suggest more of a sleeker nose to fit with the rest of the body? Great work other then that!

I just realized how upset I'll be if the pose and the way the dark matter Velosotor has that sly smirk and is tossing up that dark matter piece is ruined. I love it, it's my "main pet"...I think it'll drive me to quit if it was changed into some blank faced generic dark matter pet without the same personality...it doesn't look like it ever needs to be altered DD=. Glad to hear the blood red one will look vicious instead of a static pose with drawn on blood XD

The revamp by Exhibitted is just breathtaking . The revamp looks so more realistic, and the claws are amazing . The shading is gorgeous, and the pose is just amazing . The detailed designs on the back and legs, and spines on the back are mind-blowing . Everything about this revamp is great . I'm for the revamp 100% and really hope that the revamp wins :3.

I was rather worried about this revamp but... I was completely floored! I literally cried out, "WOAH!" and made my friends head do a 360 towards my screen. XD

I love this revamp however... the dorky grin really needs to go. It makes it look like one of Barney's friends or something... The slight grin the previous had looked sort of natural/accidental, like it wasn't intended but this one looks like it's either about to laugh or is constipated.

Also the eyes could use a little work. Perhaps show more eye, less white? But if you're going to change anything, PLEASE change that smile! T_T

The real reason I don't like this version is the face. The old one is very elegant and somewhat coy. The new one is very bulky and almost dopey looking (a complete mismatch for my own Velostor's personality). Also, I don't know if it's the foreshortening or an attempt at a fuller build, but the midsection through the hind quarters looks very chunky to me. But it i well drawn and colored over all. I still voted for the old (which seems to be loosing by leaps and bounds...).

The chubby fatness looked cuter on the Onra ^^

But it's nice over all I think. I never really liked them even though raptors are some of my favorite dinosaurs o.o but I guess it's not suppose to be a raptor so maybe thats why it always seemed off to me and now it's just too fat xD
