Speak for yourself Ounegoneziea. For I happen to be a Velosotor owner and I definitely don't want some chibi dinosaur for my pet. I love this revamp and I'm scared to death that the "cutesies" opinions are going to ruin it like they did with the Tigrean. DX

Haha. People can be picky. I don't own one, but I'm sure peiople who do already own one of these dears don't want them to turn into raptor-rex mixes. I'd like to see it fixed so it dosen't look like it's part T-Rex. And it does look sort of like that at the moment because of the front claws, and how thick it is in the tummy area.

Also, the head could be slimmed down, but I don't want to see it perfect-raptor like. Have you looked at what real raptor heads look like? shudder I prefer the more bulky head. And I hope that if they slim it down some or anythign, they still keep the sort of big look, insted of going all raptor. I don't want a pet with a face like a stick with a round end. xD;

It's wonderful art. I'm only picky cause I want one now, and those couple details bug me a bit. x3;

Adorable little critter ... maybe if they were all just called critter ... Critter ... Critter ... ppl wil STOP finding fault and comparison with some real CRITTER .. and just enjoy the art at hand :/

I swear if I hear that comment one more time. *mutters* It's an excuse in my opinion. Okay, it's not a raptor or T-rex. BUT. You can clearly see the velosotor was originally based off a RAPTOR. You can't keep hiding behind the fact it's name is not Raptor just because. Same with 'Ontra' *shudders at name* Okay, so you dont call it otter anymore so people can't say 'Oh look it's an Otter!' Alright then. Let's say staff decided to change your Graveyard Keeto to update the style (they wont since it looks fine, but they may revamp the normal Keeto one day.). How would you feel if your sleek Keeto instead changed to look more malformed and had a goofy face. There will be people who are upset. You can't tell people not to be.

For me, like I said, I love the new art. All the art for the most part has been nice lately, but it's almost like eye candy. The otter had an expresson that was confused and adorable. But the art was nice, right? Same with this guy, Velosotor had a peaceful look, as did the original dragon. And again the art is nice, but they don't feel like the old pets. Now they have this almost commercial feeling. Instead of having their original personalities, they all basically jump at you and go 'Oh hi adopt me.' As opposed to before when it felt like they'd all act differently when you went up to them.

K, I'm rambling, sorry. I hope my post isn't seen as 'complaining' because people sometimes seem to think that negative post = complaint. I was just voicing my opinion I love this velosotor, and I'm sure the artist is listening. I'm sorry if I was a bit harsh, and I have to give you guys major props for taking such a beating.

Um, well, I'm sorry, but for me it's a no. I don't know what I was hoping for with this revamp, but I'm still not sure it's quite there for me. Very nice art, I am looking forward to the chibi and the bloodred...maybe I just have to see it in the other colors to appreciate it better.
Looks like it's going through though. I see very little protest for the original, which really did need the work to keep up the the continuity of the other pets. VERY curious to see how the twilight comes out. ^^

OMGGG sooo HOT!! Thank god I bought like 10 velosotor elixirs because I knew the revamp was going to be awesome. My only wish would be for his mouth to be open. I think it would look pretty cool. But i absolutely LOVE this. !!

I quite like the new one, as the quality of the art is better. However, he seems out of proportion, for a raptor-based pet. The new version looks bigger and thicker than I would have imagined. Also, I prefer the expression of the old one; more of a calm content than a big grin.

Sunshiney: The Velos there could be based more on the Utahraptor, the largest raptor to ever exist... Also, even birds have muscle tone. You just can't see it under all the feathers so leave it alone. XD

As for those whining about not having a "cute lizard" anymore, either paint your pets chibi (because chibi is going to be hatchling cute,) or change them in to one of the still cute pets. e_e It's a reptile people. They're not supposed to be kitten cuddly.

Also, I've seen a lot of complaints about how the tail isn't straight like a Raptors and how unrealistic it is. Guys, seriously, let it go before you mess up something they got RIGHT for a change? Christ. I mean, the only improvements I can could ever suggest is the smile and eyes....

The smile is way too big to be even a natural illusion and the eyes don't take up enough space. More eye, less white.

Eee, it's freakin' sweet, I love how it isn't sickening cute like too many of the pets on here! I was wondering when they were gonna revamp these guys, heh. . .It IS a bit hefty to be a raptor-esque critter, though. I know, it's a fictional species, but its name isn't T-rexasator, afterall. XD

It looks far too much like a real dinosaur, with no elegance or cunning looks like the origianal. The smile is too friendly, as well. Nice shading, though.

I don't really like it all that much - the art is nice, but the shading to me just seems kind of... everywhere. Too many random highlights, like on the neck and body, and too much shading on the head and claws. Even though anatomy wise it's a vast improvement (no more arms poking out of the ribs, hehe), it seems to have lost that graceful elegant look that the old velosotor sported, and I really liked that. :c I think if it was slimmed down a bit, and the head was changed to look smaller and match the old one's shape a bit, it would look a lot better. And maybe if it didn't have that huge grin

Overall it is a vast improvement. It could be a tad slimmer and I think it should look a little more cunning, but still friendly.

Well, I like it. I don't think it looks male or female. My biggest thing with it is the tail is weird, and the front hands are too. I'm getting one though, once the revamp comes through. : D

I couldn't fin anything drastically wrong with this revamp. The arms and legs could use a teeny extension, and the snout slimmer by a teeny bit. Over all, I love it. It looks like a dinosaur.
I myself do not own a Velosotor and I never will, and those who do should get the main attention on what to fix. Though, if more people just complain, rather than be helpful, this revamp might go through because they didn't put a PROPER effort to help fix it.

On a more personal note: I'm also glad the artist finally gave this species a neutral look. It always irks me when a pet looks too particularly male, or too female. That's a subject I'd voice my opinion on about any species. This Velosotor only looks masculine only because it was so VERY feminine, and they tweaked out those slim, petite feminine features.
I stepped back, took an over-all look of it with no critique or appraisal in mind, and could see that it was nicely neutral.
Nicely done artist.

This revamp is made of pure win- I like how the velosotor looks like an actual predator. It's gorgeous, and I would be more than happy to turn any of my pets into a velosotor if this were to be the revamp! The artist should be given hugs and cookies and more hugs. :3

The revamp, in my opinion, is great. It's not flat anymore, and the shading and art itself is excellent. As a velociraptor fan, I'm especially pleased with this revamp. ^^ It looks much more like what the velociraptors 'back in the days' looked like. It looks meaner, too. Yay. And, what's up with people saying "It's not cute enough?" .__. Velociraptors were killers and hunters, and since the Velosotor is based on them, it should at least look the same. In my opinion, this is my favorite revamp so far. ^^ Kudos to the artist.

Now that's a dinosaur! My only suggestion is to minimize the shading on the face, near the mouth... but with that aside, it's good!

Its a really good revamp ^^ the newer one has excellent shading and it looks a bit more dinosaurlike.. but I'll miss the old ones Cuteness. great job anyways^^

Revamp = Love.

Pros:
Shading is fantastic, eyes look better, and the nails look much more real.

Cons:
I really hate the pose. (I'll get over it XD)

Personally I love it. Makes me WANT one when before I would never have gotten one. I adore the head, (which looks very in proportion to me if you look at a real raptor skull). And the bulk of the hind legs makes sense for a fast moving predator that carries all its weight on the hind legs. The mouth is fine too because I can just imagine a ton of sharp teeth in there behind the creepy knowing smile! As for it looking like a t rex I think that the arms are big enough it doesn't, and the large claws would be perfect if you had to catch and slice prey. The feet are amazing plays with the big toe claw. XD The shading just makes it look as if it is in bright sunlight, and the pupil goes with that image. All in all, if we are going for a more "real" look I'd say that this revamp is great, and I don't see what everyone has to complain about.

The hands are a little wonky, but that aside, this is only the second revamp since I joined the site that I actually really like (the first being the Escalade). YES TO THE NEW VELOSOTOR.

I think we all know that it is a subeta animal, not a real raptor. It would just seem to make sense that it more resembles a raptor than something else, since that is part of its name. Just like you would assume a feli was somehow cat related, but it instead had little cat like resemblance at all. Obviously, since the original had a raptor like look, it's no coincidence that people are mentioning it over and over. Now, if they were INTENDING to make a radical change, perhaps taking an official word would make that clear

I'll admit it could use a revamp, but I won't say it's worth it. The pose, dynamics, proportion, and the overall look and feel of it is completely different. I think that the pose could have been salvaged if it was updated and made a little more realistic, but the new one is just t different to be likeable.

Hmmm... I like it yet it bugs me at the same time, ya know? I love to see that we're trying to bring in new art, but there are some parts that just make me go eh. The shading seems too strong in my opinion. The head is far too bulky. It resembles a t-rex (as mentioned earlier) head rather than well, most raptors actually I'm sure.. The claws are /longer/ than the actual hands, which well. Just doesn't work XD But I could easily get accustomed to it, and it definitely wouldn't hurt to give a few tweaks. But yes, I would love to know who made this revamp, just out of curiosity, ya know? Oh yes, I love the ability to comment on news. Bless Subeta for this feature XD I hope I possibly helped ^^;

Anyway, are people always this RIDICULOUSLY nitpicky and whiny when it comes to revamps? Honestly, some of you aren't helping with constructive criticism. Some are just plain insulting the artist and tearing it APART. Could we please, perhaps, yanno, try and be a little more helpful? o.o;

Is it just me, but the revamp is more Mortiking than Velosotor in proportions.

I think it might be a bad idea to joke on name changes as the Otter one is extremely unpopular and you don't appear to be listening to people on that topic.

This is a disaster. I hate the revamp. ;__; My babies are going to turn into big, lumpy freaks! D8 For a raptor, he's out of proportion. Everything needs to be thinner, especialy the nose. This one is way to bulky. The old one looked lean and quick, but now it looks bulky and slower And kind of dumb. Not dumb in the sense that it looks bad, dumb as in it looks like it has a lower IQ. How come it looks so masculine now? And old? Before it looked younger, and more feminine, almost. But mostly younger. Now, I believe it looks like it's just old. And to vicious. I hate it. I hate it so much. I'm really going to hate what my babies look like when the revamp comes. I have sun and dusk velositors, and the colours just won't go. This is an absolute disaster! D8

Revamps are all well and good, but come up with a different one please. This version has the wrong feel. I'd vote for a new one with the excellent quality of the other revamps, if that same air of leanness and agility was portrayed.
