I think that the mouth ends too far up the head. It looks like that if by accident, we would bite out tongue and it would bite its eyes out. Not good.

I don't get why people have to complain so much about this revamp. It looks a lot better than the older Velosotor and it was about time this pet got a revamp.

And girly looks? The old Velosotor looked just as girly, if not more girly, with big eyes and a gentle smile. Who cares if it looks girly? Don't like it? Get a different pet. The artists did a really good job here, though maybe some little things need tweaking with the head size. To enhance the raptor look of it it would be best to make the tail rigid, as all raptors require a long, rigid tail to keep their balance. I suppose that would be difficult to fit into that size, so it's not completely necessary. Shading? I think it looks fantastic. I really love this new revamp. Great job!

Also, I'm pretty sure Velocirapt isn't it's new name.. in fact I'm pretty sure the Velosotor isn't getting a name change, I think that it VELOCIRAPT was just posted as a funny... as in 'OH NO IT'S THE VELOCIRAPT..(oh wait... it's not a velociraptor, it's a) Velosotor.

I just wanna point out a few reasons why I didn't vote for old. It's not because the old one isn't cute, it is. But there are so many things anotomically wrong with it that can't be excused by style. It was just not a great drawing. Broken legs, arm to close to the leg, the unattached head, and the short body, as illustrated.

I'm not trying to tell people how to vote, but I find it kind of hard to believe that one can't at least acknowledge that the new art is better drawn.

And while I'm at it, there are a few anotomical issues with this one. Not glaring, but I suppose this should at least be somewhat helpful. The arm seems a little too close to the leg. Maybe that can be stretched out a bit? And like other people have said, the head might look better if there wasn't a bump back there. That's stylistic, though.

In any case, this is the revamp I've been waiting for forever. XD And even if there are tweaks to be made to the new one, it's MUCH CLOSER to what the standard of art should look like on Subeta. Excellent work.

Over all, I think it is a very nice revamp. I'm not too into the stripes on it's eyebrow... they make it look very feminine, but it generally looks masculine, therefore it reminds me of a crossdresser. XP I don't really like it's expression either, it looks far too happy. Perhaps a less angled mouth? Other than that, it is by far better than the old one, and the art is beautiful.

Omg. I love the new one. o_O You guys make me want to get one when it's finally revamped. (I guess there will be a second poll because ... yeah, it's always the same if a pet gets revamped. xD complaining, critism and only little bits of good and helpful comments)

The Velosotor body is much better than the old one, but I really dislike the head and neck. The Neck is too long and I don't like the way it joins to the head and the head is a too large for the small body and just does not have a good expression on it.

The head appears to be a blob to me.. And why all the name changes? The first claw on the front back foot looks odd to me. It's far too curved compared to the front claw.

I'll miss the old one. It looks.. dainty, and that's quite something for a giant predatory lizard. This one looks more muscly, which I don't really like. Nice art, thouhg.

Ew, I love the old one. Â¬Â¬ this one is just to fake smile, to mucley, I liked the fact it had a long tail and girly features, different from the boyish pets like Mortiking. Just the expression makes me annoyed. Shame, it's an Auto-win though, as it is over 1000+ points ahead. ;_;

Hmm. ]:

The revamp is nice and all, but it looks too cutesy. The lineart/shading is nice, btw.

The claws and what not need to be more fierce looking, yanno? Thinner- and sharper.

The heads a bit too big for the body, and yeah- the grinning is somewhat creepy ): It looks as if you crammed the body into the 100x100 or whatever thing, and didn't plan the proportions very well

the eyes are gorgeous. I like how there is a slit and what not :] although reptiles don't have the white in their eye, only the iris/pupil, if anything. haha.

other than that, the velosotor looks nice. !

I like the old one a bit better.... The head of the revamp looks... Odd in a way. The revamp is nice, but seems off sorta... Maybe its just me...

If the Velosotor changes to this awesome-looking baby, one of mine is surely going to change into one. Looks great, I don't have any qualms with this redesign. Especially looking forward to seeing the Twilight Version =D

All I can say is WOW. Beautiful revamp, I have nothing to crit this time. It looks just like a dinosaur should - an amazing improvement from the old one that definitely needed revamping. I think the bump on the back of the head looks perfectly fine, it was a characteristic that many dinosaurs had. The shading is amazing, it gives so much more definition. And what's wrong with the grin? Personally I love it, it just gives so much character and looks much more dinosaur-ish. I'm just in awe, as I said - nothing to crit here, and I hope to see the revamp implemented soon =) Kudos to the artist!

Also, to Brainfreeze, look up velociraptors/utahraptors/etc. That family of dinosaurs had a retractable inner toe that flexes like that. Heck. Just watch Jurassic park.

Nice artwork, but a few things about this revamp throw me off.

The head looks incredibly wide to me, therefore looking a bit..odd. The body also has the same problem. If both were shrunken, or compacted a little, it'd look a lot better. (or at least if the head wasn't so wide or the body so fat)

Now, don't take my words for granted as I am using a widescreen comp. at the moment, so things are stretched quite a bit. XD

Lovely pose though. It looks really realistic for this kind of dinosaur. ^^

I'm still going to vote on Old though.

Amen to this. Just amen. We have more than enough pretty girly pets on the site and it was about time that it changed. This isn't only a site for little girls who want fluffy pets, this is a site for everybody.

But, even though I think that this is a marvellous revamp, there are some things that could use minor tweaking. I adore the fact that the Velosotor; a predator, doesn't look like a wee little girlie who's about to get a manicure since the pose of the hands on the old one greatly associated me with someone waiting for their fingernails to dry off.

Love the shading on this, love the claws, love everything.
Do not love the bump on the back of the new Velosotor's head. Did the poor thing fall down while hunting...? D; I don't know, it just looks a wee bit off. Maybe just tone it down a slight tiny bit...?

The only other major thing that bugs me is the mouth. The upper corner of the mouth ends somewhere under the eye and that just... spooks the hell out of me. Maybe make the mouth a bit shorter...? It looks a bit weird now.

A suggestion; you could add some teeth to it's mouth. Unless you plan to keep that detail reserved strictly for the BR Velosotor. It's fine either way.

Pretty sure that other people have things to add to this.

i wont vote because it's not a pet of mine (or one i would ever get) and i feel that only the owners of pets should get a say in how they look. however i will say that i DO like this new art. (why is it only my pets that i hate the art for??)

As has been said repeatedly, great new art. I prefer the sweet face of the old one, and agree that this guy seems a tad cramped and off balance in the back end. Perhaps it's just that he looks as though he's bent in half, so there's no streamlining. Much like a cat who's been frightened and is about to hit the ceiling, lol

Best revamp yet. I agree though, tweak the head a little and get rid of that grin. Maybe change the shading so the sides of the muzzle look like they're curving inward slightly, like a real dinosaur head. If that makes sense.

that toe as you put it is a sickle claw similar to those of the actual velociraptor..I like it over all, just needs to be cleaned up a bit.

I liked the old pose, but I love the new claws, eyes...and the fact it actually looks like it has muscle and some skin definition. so all in all revamp FTW.

I don't like it at all. It takes away that coy-girlish look the original had. I was considering whether or not to turn my Velvet back into a velosotor, this makes up my mind, not to. I think it is very good art work, but it just isn't the same.

I LOVE this revamp! LOVE LOVE LOVE

The only thing that seems a teensy bit off to me is the head... I think it should be a tinytiny bit smaller and more delicate looking since neither velociraptors or the original velosotor have large heads. And I rather liked the long, curvy spikes on the head and they look rather stubby now. But all in all, it's FANTASTIC.

Well, I hear you. but if you look at the GY Velosotor, the tail is raised, flexing, and adding balance to an upright and moving animal. I'd love to see a pose more like that, but I dout it will happen. xD But no, it's a pet, not a real raptor. Or even a Jurassic Park one. cough xD
