Reading the comments to this news post is the only thing I have been able to do on the site today...so I agree, an extension is pointless until subeta is running properly again.

Thank you for the extension and increased trinket payout! I agree with other users that the extension could use to be a little longer, though-- as it is now, the site keeps returning server errors on random pages, if it even loads at all. ): I’m sure you’re working on a fix, so I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but the issues make it kinda hard to send and accept dance requests.

I guess there is no point in stating the same thing all the others have posted in regards to the lag and errors ... it's very frustrating.

I agree with the others, just take the time to fix things!

Thanks for the extension, but with all the lag, 502s, lack of alerts, lack of invites loading, forums being down, and all the other errors (wardrobe not working, not being able to access daily features like the Job Agency or The Rift, wardrobe items STILL missing (I'd like my Secret Garden Key back plz), and everything else) the site is still unusable.

I was thinking the 15th at least, since on the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and now 9th the site is not loading properly most places, and taking forever. It's nice to have those 1 minute dance times, but if it's taking 3 minutes to load a page it's not really helping?

I can't load anything. I haven't been able to do anything since the downtime. My posts didn't go through half the time, I'm missing probably half my events - pings and comments I'm never receiving. I try to stay optimistic and supportive so I'm not usually one to say this but I'm close to giving up. I already feel like I've been on hiatus for days due to not being able to do anything... I'm frustrated.

do you want to kid us? it doesn't matter how many days there are extra, if nothing works here. close the game and only open again if everything goes smoothly and if it takes 1 week or longer, to do better than just have trouble, and then everything goes back to last Saturday, many have gm that they cannot use, but they expire, the event doesn't work anymore and otherwise it only gets worse. that is frustrating. even the most patient pass the pleasure at the side. so close it and ps. if you close it would be nice if you send us information somewhere if and when it goes on, because the links on the - site down - all do not go, neither to the status page, fb, twitter or other pages

3 days for all the trouble? Sunday it should go on, but I could only log in again yesterday, then laggy pages, nothing worked, the dances were lost because the buttons showed white pages and now you give us 3 days more where only bad gateway is shown today, pages Charging takes 1.5 - 2 minutes, it will only get worse ... and as we have experienced the days, the next few will not get better anytime soon. thanks, but no thanks...

it would be nice if we could pause our ga subscriptions while this is going on. a lot of us haven’t even been able to use the ga functions so there’s no point to them right now. that’s four days of ga wasted. and a lot of us just want to take a break while this is going on, logging on is becoming more and more stressful. i’d rather not see my ga go to waste because i’m waiting for the site to work.

thanks for the extension ❤ i'm sure you guys are working hard to get the site functioning better, and i'm still here, patient as ever, cheering you on! i appreciate how quickly the site recovered from lag at the start of Masq, i think that was the quickest start to an event we've had. glitches and unforeseen misshaps aside, Masquerade is still my favourite event 💃 🎩

I agree, 3 days doesn't seem fair after so many problems are still popping up and preventing the enjoyment usually experienced during this time. Gotta love the Error 502s

I'm sorry but what's the pointing of extending something we can't do. Had to give up on even attempting any quests or training last night because there was nothing but error messages on all the pages and now again today. With nothing working please just hold Masq until after this is fixed so we can actually participate. No autopricer, jobs, rift, etc. either. I'd rather wait on Masq until the site is working again.

Today is even worse than it was yesterday, took me like 10 minutes to even load this page this morning after getting a bunch of 502 errors first.

Like, not trying to sound ungrateful or anything, but a 3 day extension is kind of useless if we still can't even use the site properly.

I'm less interested in the event than I am for the site to get back to working properly and quickly. Pages either take ages to load or I get an error. Too much broken on top of the lag to even try to play regularly let alone try and request or accept dances.

Subeta is basically my only outside social contact and I can't even do that atm.

Please just fix the site. Take it down so it can be worked on. It's just not any fun to log in anymore if nothing can be accessed. The lag is unreal...can't use most of the site. I don't get an event for my shop. The dancing is a joke...I can't even accept dances. You are just extending a mess.

The downtime was on the 5th. That was 4 days ago, the site still isn't loading correctly, and you're only extending the event by 3 days? I have over 20 dance invites I can't accept because it takes forever for each one to load!

Thank you for the extension, although there's so many 502 errors and lag that it's been impossible to do anything here this morning :(

It might not be the most popular suggestion, but maybe Masq just needs to be put on hold for a day or two, so the 502s, lag, forums and those rogue pages that don't load because there's no 'index' page could be sorted out without the added strain of people trying to dance & accept dance requests?

tbh, I'm almost glad the quests didn't reset today. So there's no reason to even attempt to play... Otherwise I'd likely try and slog through the errors and lag, but now, there's no such drive.

-sighs- Whatever. Let me know when all of this is fixed and then I'll try again. I know it's hard and annoying for staff too, but extending it while it's still laggy and not even for a good amount of days is almost worse than not doing anything. This is up there with when they gave people GAs to compensate for the lag after the LAST update while things were still broken.... Community communication could use some work.

There have been MANY wake up calls in the past, but I guess no one seems to learn anything from them. Every time, for YEARS, the same thing happens. Over and over and over again. I'm just tired of it all. Can't even have fun anymore when a new event is coming up, because I know that the site will crash. As it always does. So very disappointed. I don't even care about the Masquerade anymore.

It's just been one disaster after another. And the worst thing is that after all these years, there is absolutely NO PROGRESS. Nothing is done ever to prevent and improve things like that. I have a really hard time believing that nothing can be done.

Maybe something can be done after users start leaving in great numbers? :(

I really like the site, too bad the staff doesn't learn already from the past: The site breaks down EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. after a server move/maintenance period/update/whatever other thing meant to improve the site :( This time i'm just tired, like some other user said. i'm not holding my breath for this extension.

/can't collect pet's salaries, the explore map doesn't work, can't autoprice, bathhouse is set on day 1, 502s,

I agree with others who have posted before...what is the point of an extension when the site still can't be used normally? Right now I can only get the site to load after minutes of waiting. Fortunately I have enough trinkets already, so I can just avoid the site while it's this bad, but it surely is a disappointment that none of the issues have been addressed before this was announced. I don't expect the site to magically run again, but some information about the status would be really great.

What is the good let alone logic in this, if nobody can make one single valid move on here? you post this without any reaction to our cries of pain?

Just STOP, STOP, STOP holding events and releasing new stuff one after the other, without giving us time to breathe and recover from the unplayability and frustration and wasted tons of time from the one before! Just get the basic site running again and fix issues/features that have been bothering everyone since the move in September! PLEASE!!!!

Not sure if this will post since every other page I go to gets an error, but I do hope things get fixed quickly. Wishing luck to the staff. I know this situation is frustrating including for you guys.

By the way, is there any external platform we can view updates on? Since Subeta keeps going down, I can rarely ever view the admin announcements. Would it be possible to post the information on Twitter as well or some other progress tracking site?

Interesting side note: I'm now getting 524 time out errors too.

considering it took 20 minutes of 502 errors and abhorrent amounts of lag to even load the site enough to read this, (then double that to actually get this to post if it ever does) I'm holding off on thanking anyone yet. also, site's been unusable (and still IS) for over 4 days now. so what, we get maybe an extra 3 dances if we're lucky enough for both inviter and invitee to get on and accept the dance?

I'm not even disappointed anymore, I'm just tired.

Yeah, I'm thankful for the extension but setting the new end date so soon seems a bit premature when the site is still only barely functional (and it seems to only get worse every day).

With the lag the worst it has EVER been, along with the constant glitches this Masquerade has been an Epic Fail. Now with Vesnali coming up are we going to see another marvelous upgrade that will blow that event out of the water as well???

Quite frankly, even the COVID-19 updates are more interesting right now.

Are we going to be getting any new Steamwork pets at all this year? Or will you make an exception to release one outside of the event? I'm just asking cause we only had one last year and it would be disappointing to have to wait 2 whole years for another.

The site has been unusable for 4 days but the extension is only 3 days? Who knows if the site will even be usable for that time, there's been no improvement in the last 4 days so I doubt there will be any over the next 4 days. Everything about subeta has been so disappointing lately. :/
