Subeta is my absolute favorite site -- I've been here for over 15 years now. I always appreciate the staff and all their hard work, but I have to agree with what others are saying in the comments. I think it'd be better to pause everything and then figure out an extension for the event. Because currently the site pretty much unusable. I haven't been able to do much of anything in days (and I know everyone else is in the same boat), forums take forever to load, bathhouse is stuck at 2 days, dances are almost impossible to send/accept and Masquerade ends on the 12th? Hopefully things are resolved soon so we have some functionality over the weekend.

I haven't read any comments yet. WTF! Nothing is working. Extending an event on a site that can't even have the fundamentals working is a joke.

There errors are so bad i finally got to post here. Its taken me 4 hours to get on. I dont even know how 2 days is going to help me. I havent been able to buy things from the shop in the last few days either and forget autopricing which isnt working.

I've been a member for 14 years and have supported you guys through all the issues you've had during that time, but I gotta admit, switching servers right before a major event, I think, was a terrible error. I've never been critical of past issues, but even I have to admit this is starting to get old. I honestly have not been interested in Masquerade this year because of what's been going on. I don't know why you did it and won't pretend to understand, but I think it was poor judgment on your part. You have done this for the past several events that have gone on. The next event is Vesnali are we going to run into the same problems then?

I just saw the site for the first time in... 3 days? And I'm usually trying to load it about this time of night too. But sure, the 12th sounds like a fine extension... /s

Gotta LOVE staff being entirely silent on the matter here for the excruciating lag and errors. not to mention the forum topic on the downtime said the extension would be given "once the site is back running normally"... now i don't know about y'all but i think taking 20 minutes to load a page only to hit a 502 error isn't supposed to be considered "working".

Could you maybe turn the official Discord server back on for chat and comments and post updates there while the site is so difficult to get to? Each page load is 50/50 for an error and for whether or not it will load after a 30-40 second wait.

Subeta is my favorite place on the internet so I wont be going anywhere, but I am having a hard time participating in contests bc the forums are so slow. I wouldn't mind the site being down for a few days if made fixing it easier. I seriously love this site so it makes me really sad to see so many users upset.

Super appreciated, but the site's still ultra laggy/broken for me. It takes minutes to even load a page, so refreshing to accept all of my dance invites is... difficult, for lack of better word. ; _;

my guess is that heroku didn't backup for four month and that's why there's the problem with loss of items in the Wardrobe.

Not being a jerk here. Please take the site down right now and fix it. Its unplayable. Every page is 502. I cant quest. bathhouse is broken, my dance requests disappear and lost for good. Morty cards dont work. A few days isn't gonna fix it when we cant even DO anything. Come on guys. ;( I guess I should take the money i put into csc and just order something online i can do if I can't do anything here.

On top of everything people posted, the bathhouse is still not right. Its been saying day 1 for a week. Some people lost streaks of 2 years or more. One more annoying issue that persists.

The Masque has always been my favorite event. But I ran the numbers and in order to get every wearable from the shop this year alone, I will need over 3k tokens. With everything that's been going on with errors and lag and issues on the site, I've managed to collect about 600 total this year. This is pretty much the only event I care about participating in anymore, and to have this much excrement hitting the spinning blades during it is... well, disheartening to say the least. My GA ran out and I don't think I'll be renewing it in the future unless there's a damn good reason to do so.

It's tough that the one event I always loved has been just a big ol' bummer this year, when it could have been a great escape from what's going on in the real world.

Wow. I use the SPs I make from quests to pay for training but can't quest at all with super lag and constant errors. Was going to try and do dailies before going to bed but too many errors so giving up. Maybe things will be working again in a few days for the weekend. :(

Lost interest in this site. Lags, errors, constant updates that make everything worse. Missing items not replaced, every holiday is a mess. Not sure how much longer I will stay. I wanted to fave many of the comments above me but, clicking the hearts didnt even work. :/

I wanted this to be good news but it definitely doesn't feel like it. I am still getting insane absolutely unplayable lag, unable to accept dances more than half the time, managed to post once in the last few days and I left the site sitting while I went for a 2 hour long walk, it finally had loaded. Please rethink this. So many users play SPECIFICALLY for whatever event is their favorite. Masquerade is HUGE for the community. With the quarantines in states and countries all over the world How about extending it through All of April, or a couple weeks or something.... Your users want to play now more than ever. Give us a reason not to put our time somewhere else please?

The site is working better for me, but not ... well, “perfectly “ isn’t the word. At normal capacity is better.

Don’t move servers during an event next year, you’ll alienate the 54 of us still left.

This is getting ridiculous. Haven't been able to do quests since night before last due to the super lag and constant error messages. Autopricer, Jobs, Rift, etc. are still broken. I'm getting less and less interested. Please fix the site. It was running fine before the previous "maintenance" a while back and hasn't run right since.

I've barely participated in Masq due to not only the sites issues but due to stress related to working for the PO during this pandemic. Maybe we should just take a break on the site from holidays in general and let people enjoy conversing and interacting with one another through the SB and such instead.

I've been a member of Subeta since 2006 or 2007, going off of a previous account I had. My current account has been active on Subeta for almost 13 years. I've been on the site for a lot of events, and I've never seen anything as bad, or poorly-run, in my entire time on the site as this.

The damage to the site has been so bad that, for the first time in the nearly-13-years I've been on Subeta, I've been wondering, "Why bother keeping your Subeta account active, and paying for Gold Accounts, when the site doesn't even work anymore?" This is not a recent thing, either. Over the years, there have been numerous issues and bugs, and from what I have learned, the code and site layout has been barely - if ever - changed over the 13-odd-years I've been here.

Why not use the site's Gold Account income to re-invest into the website itself, especially when it is largely run by a team of volunteer moderators, and not paid staffers? Where has all of the money from GAs, CWs, and other items gone over the years, and why has none of that money been used to hire an actually competent coders and/or artists to update the website? Heaven knows that the entirety of Subeta sorely needs an update.

I've already seen YouTube videos on the downfall of NeoPets and Gaia Online, the latter particularly over the fiasco that was Gaia Gold. I know for a fact that Subeta's own human avatar (HA) and Wardrobe system was implemented as a competitor, or at least clearly based on, the Gaia Online avatars and outfits. The last thing I expected, however, was for Subeta to also copy the biggest mistakes of Gaia Online, especially as Subeta increasingly becomes a dated relic of the 2000's-2010's.

The last thing I want to see is yet another YouTube video on the downfall of Subeta, but with the way this is playing out, that seems like an inevitability at this point - not an "if", but a "when". If the Subeta staff doesn't get its act together now, and fix this issue, it can - and will - result in the worst possible scenarios for the site's status and potential future.

Forums are still messed up. Only showing first post on page. I posted once on the dance with the user above forum and had 15ish invites. So that means 15 other users didn't get their invites. And then my next post didn't show up at all since I was not the first post on that page. 😭

Not for nothin.... but this is not good enough. I can't even load the forums to dance, it took nearly five minutes to load this post, and everything is slower than molasses in January. I'm actually really disappointed in this site and how it's being run, for the first time in forever. DO BETTER.

I appreciate you guys always trying to update the site to make it better, but I agree with the other users here.

After nearly every "improvement", server move/update etc. the site is laggy, broken, and unusable.

It's been like this pretty much for the past few years. I really want to say "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

can we maybe have a second run of the masquerade later, when the site is more stable and site issues + wardrobe issues are resolved? 100% not saying artist make another two waves of items. just don't add/update anything and reopen dancing and the forums and everything for the full duration of the event. i know that'd break the once a year thing, and i don't know if other users would even like that, but its an idea?

Thanks for extending masquerade. I understand it's really difficult to move data and try to fix everything, yet I am really frustrated by the recent wardrobe glitch and now this. I am unable to finish running my masquerade contest, unable to contact winners, and unable to visit the bathhouse. I am not even able to give my friends the dances they need or accept them. Why can't the maintenance happen before Masquerade started? Why can't the new wardrobe be released after Masquerade ended? It's one screwup after another. I honestly don't even want to be on subeta right now.

I am in agreement with the majority of comments below. The site is glitching so bad that extending for three days is laughable. I cannot collect pet income, autoprice my store, wardrobe not functioning correctly... if the site as is isn't playable, what are three days going to do? It's an empty gesture of goodwill.

Apart from it not being a fix of the overall lack of coordination and thought on when to do these updates/maintenance's, I would appreciate being paid back for my gold account that I have not been able to use the past couple of days.

Honestly I don't feel comfortable doing anything on this website anymore. I don't want to buy anything from any shop to put it into my wardrobe because the wardrobe is broken and we're all still missing items. I can't post on the forums, I'm getting errors on pretty much everywhere I click. It's just not worth the aggravation to try to do anything. I don't care about the extension, I don't want the extension, just get the site to work decently.
