Love this update! I am really digging the redraws of the NPCs. Great Job. :)
I think her body is stunning, and I don't see "fat" at all. She looks to be average weight, at the most, and would it really be such a horrible thing if she were overweight anyway? God forbid there is a range of body types on NPCs.
Having said that, I feel like her head is a little too big for her body (no, I don't mean too fat), but I'm very tired and can't tell if it's just because of her hair. I loved scratchcard Shinwa, but this version is gorgeous, too. And that outfit! So beautiful!
Yes, she gain weight so what. Not every woman stays skinny forever. Her face proportions in my problem! Did she had a really really bad accident and had to take a plastic surgery?
She doesn't even look from the same family. If they say, "she is shinwas' sister" I could be like "No way, they don't look alike at all"

I'm not a big fan of her new look. She doesn't look good chubby, and she looks like she has rosacia.
also that left arm that's bending down is weird proportion wise to the rest of the body. it looks off for some reason.
Oh! The thing about her shoulders. Now I notice, after looking at what we see of her neck... her shoulders are strangely compact/small for a neck of that width and head of that size. Hm.
I love her. Like dang, she looks amazing. And she definitely has the look of someone who would tell you that you did a great job and then just rewards you with her earrings. 8)
please another artist to do her face. she no longer looks like a goddess. poor shinwa. not everyone has to look average so we can relate to them :(

Neat! Surprised only because of the differences between this Shinwa and Shinwa on her revamped scratchcard. Expected something else (with a significantly different vibe, physical feature policing be darned), is all.
She doesn't look fat at all. I do wish she had actual eyelashes though. There is something about her that is off... but I can't quite figure out what it is. I still like her though. Love the tattoos instead of the neon pink bands ouo
I actually mostly like this revamp! I say "mostly" because, while I think she looks prettier overall, there's just something about her face that seems... off. I don't know what it is but it looks like there was maybe an error in drawing? Like she's got some kind of weird mix of grimace and pain going on there in her expression... which doesn't exactly fit with the character or even really that pose/what it's going to be used with.
Besides that, I absolutely love it! She looks more filled out, too!

Personally, I love what Subeta is doing. The NPCs aren't just pretty place holders that give you quests, they look as if they're from a diverse group of people, you know, because they're supposed to be people and not goddamn fashion models.
I think this is particularly fitting because a goddess that keeps losing her bracelet is bound to be a bit more absent/childish than most.

I'm all for this revamp, since it's a definite improvement!!! The clothes and the tattooing are beyond gorgeous. She doesn't look that chubby or fat-- just there are some things wrong? Like her pigtails; they're put up on the back of her head (or seemingly positioned to be on the back of her head), so they shouldn't be falling in front of her shoulders like that (so naturally)??? And just, her shoulders should be a bit wider, I think.

I wonder what the reaction of the fat shamming as well as those who are getting all uppity when they get called out for being dick would act if there was a revamp that turned out skinnier than the original and people commented about that fact? Would they still be all, "rah rah you can have your option" or would they be pissed because people are insulting something that they can relate too and/or are happy to see on this site?
I honestly just wanna slap everyone who thinks that someone who not skinny isn't allowed to be proud and happy with their own body. STOP POLICING BODIES (REAL OR DRAWN) THAT ARE NOT YOUR OWN!

I was taken aback by the revamp, but once I looked it over, the only problem I have is the character's right arm, down & partway behind her, the elbow lines are throwing me off somehow. Can't explain it properly, just that it looks like the arm is forward, but the wrist & hand are obviously back...
On the rest of us in RL, it takes all types to make the world, and other than that, common courtesy is, if you can't say something nice (about each other/other people), don't say anything at all.

I know what's missing on her! I think if she had been given some longer eyelashes she would've looked a lot older lol! Maybe those could be added? If not...but yeah, some longer eyelashes would've been great along with a little eye shadow XP

Shinwa does kinda have hamster cheeks, now that that's been said. I don't think she looks fat, at all... not even chubby really (fluffyskinny?) but her cheeks are kinda chubby. I think part of it is her jaw line doesn't match where her ears are, unless she had a very very round face.. or is making a really stupid expression-- which I feel is probably the case.
Like she just heard the best most amusing gossip in the world and just can't even.
I love how anything bigger than a size 0 is awful but when's the last time anyone's seen a size 0 running around that wasn't an 11 year old tween? They're like fucking unicorns. It's 2015, I think it's about time everyone just stops hating everything the media tells us to hate because it's not like they know their head from their ass.

I don't like the style of the new revamps... any of them. There is just something that doesn't appeal to me so I hope they don't have only one person revamping and redrawing every character. I want to get excited about updates in characters, but at this point I'm actually kind of dreading it every time I see a news update. LOL something about the new Pete's eyes terrifies me, and Shinwa gained like 30 years age. Not a fan of the current revamp artist...

There was a new NPC that came out with the scrolls who is VERY large. I didn't see fat comments come out then! If I did, I missed them, but, man! Stop with the fat comments!
Whoa. Terrible revamp... sorry to say that, I don't want to knock on the artist. She seems... very mis-proportioned now. NO I DON'T THINK SHE'S FAT AND I COULD CARE LESS IF SHE WAS. And um how come she couldn't just be revamped to look like the scratch card version? That one looks great! (I thought the Oracle's revamped face was terrible too.)

I agree with people about the clothes, though, and the tattoos. They're gorgeous. I love how the tattoos have detailing now instead of just bands or stripes of colour. At least it's something. I'm not saying the art's bad. The art is fabulous. The way the person was drawn, though, just doesn't really hold true to the look of what Shinwa should be.

I really hope that there comes a time when this website can make it's characters diverse without a bunch of people coming out of the woodwork to complain about it. "she's too fat!" yeah sure she's fat and she's fucking beautiful "but they're gay!" yup. and that's great "their skin tone is too dark!" no it's not.
