The second I saw this revamp I knew I would find people bitching about her weight in the comments. Subeta is kinda petty like that.
I think she's lovely though a few of the tiny tweaks Lime mentioned could be a good idea.

I think her current expression kind of reflects her personality well and it's adorable, in my opinion. But to each their own!

Confused as to why old anime shinwa we all drew in the 5th grade looks better than her realistic style now. Still wondering where the "character" and "personality" came from in the old cookie-cutter anime style. Am I missing something
She was lovely - now she is hideous, unkind thing to do.
Polls don't work for revamps, because the new art pretty much always win by a landslide, and since 95% of the site did think Shinwa needed a revamp bad, well, the new art would have won by a landslide.
A lot of the non-anatomic criticism are due to the fact people mischaracterized Shinwa as being "mysterious" and "godless-like". Which she is not. She is not wise and mysterious at all, she's petty and her vanity partially caused the destruction of her own planet, due to waging war with Maleria. That ain't wise and mysterious at all
Is she still losing her bracelet? Seriously she needs to keep it locked up or something XD
Not really a fan of her revamped tattoos; upon closer look, the details on the patterns look great, but from a glance it just looks like she has a rash, especially on the HA version....
I like the art of the revamp, but something about her proportions feels off... I think it's that her body/shoulders isn't wide enough for the size of her arms and head?
I'm really enjoying the new faces. Specifically the new noses, which are larger and overall more realistic, are really hype.
I love this revamp. I've hated her old look for so long, and this is a much needed improvement. I agree with and her interpretation of Shinwa's character; the Oracle is truly the wise one, whereas Shinwa thinks she's just as wise, but she really isn't.
Her new appearance matches that characterization. I love that in fiction. And I'm excited to see what happens or what theme June will be. Pekaboo? Omen Island Festival? BEACHES?!

Lol, you guys make me afraid to post something with my honest opinion about the revamp xD But well, I will just say what I want to say about it. I miss the cuteness ;___; and what is up with these noses lately (so round and obvious!)? Most people are saying that her not-skinny body makes her more human like, but what about that unrealistic large head and weird nose? No offense about the art (very well done), I just like manga art more even if they do not look realistic :(
I just realized scratchcard Shinwa looks like Taylor Swift. Also I think new Shinwa is adorable.
I'll take the new revamped look over the old one any day. Her old design on the scratchcard has disturbed me for months now. xD
As for all the griping about Shinwa's "weight": she's been housebound to her temple for YEARS. Until Subetapedia adds in a "historical events" section to reflect on past plots and Subeta-canon lore--hinthint nudgenudge--basically from what I've heard or read elsewhere, something happened between Maleria and Shinwa, and to keep Shinwa and her people safe, she was to stay in the temple for the rest of her life.
Amazon Prime doesn't exist in Subeta either, so no, she probably doesn't have any exercise equipment, nor does she seem to want any. But if y'all are truly concerned about her body issues, then by all means, donate a Nintendo Wii with a copy of Wii Sports to Shinwa, and call it a day.
Oh man I am not liking the new human revamps D: And why does the [NPC] Shinwa has such a big head? Oh well I dont really care about it, I only visit them a few times a day so. And it is not like they are revamping the HAs THANKFULLY XD But the art is done beautifully again, the artist is great at what he or she is doing. It is just that I am not really feeling these human revamps :X

I love the new revamp, the art is great. I do agree thos some people that the face looks a little bit off, I think that is the feather playing tricks on me or something.
Oh er and the shoulders should be wider. I agree she looks like a chubby child instead of a grown adult because of the proportions I mentioned

eehhhh I love the idea but her head's looking big, coupled with the placement of the feather giving her the illusion of a huge neck it's kinda throwing the proportions off.
I like the revamp, but only the eyes bother me though. Like most said here already, they're kind off-ish ;P

Perhaps it's because I'm not familiar with anime/manger much, but honestly, her old image was the one like look child-like and odd to me.

I always saw her as an elegant, tall non-human being. But now all I see is a 12 year old (a bit chubby) girl child who is playing dress-up.
I'm all for revamps, but please please stick to the original idea/vibe behind the character. This isn't Shinwa.
Wow, this was so needed. The face was weird to me at first glance, but seeing the NPC HA made me realise that it's just that one cheek accidentally(?) covering her front bangs which bothers me. Her clothes are amazing and it's always nice to see actual human-sized characters, good job on you artist :)

For real, I thought she was supposed to be a beauty. Now her head is somehow way too big and she looks like a dwarf (no I don't mean she's fat) Her proportions... the body for an adult is supposed to be 9 times it's head and here it's more like 4 times WHICH IS LESS THEN FOR A CHILD.

Huh. I have no comments about Shinwa's size (and am surprised that so many do), but something about her face is a little off-putting and borderline creepy?
A redraw was direly needed and considering how old the original shinwa pic is, i think its ok that the artist got creative and changed her up a good bit, she has so much more personality now than she did originally!
I love the new tattoos, dress and jewelry given to Shinwa, but her face is a bit creepy. My guess is that her eyes should be a bit bigger, her hips should be a little wider, her nose shouldn't be that wide and her head should be a little smaller. It is OK IMO, but it needs to bee corrected a bit so she'd look better.
The art itself is really beautiful and I've been looking forward to Shinwas revamp! However, she looks nothing like a goddess now and more like cinthias older sister :(

I definitely preferred the old Shinwa but I love her hair an clothes. The new Shinwa just has too much going on and she looks super plump to me.
Her weight isn't what bothers me, it's more her face. The proportions seem wrong. The eyes, for example, are too small and the ear is too high. The level of artwork is amazing though!

Am I the only one annoyed that this art has given her 180 personality change? She looked like a nice person before, but now she looks really snotty/catty. Maleria legitimately looks nicer.

i am personally not a fan of the style of the most recent revamps. it's like it can't decide whether it wants to be anime or realistic and the mix of both isn't working so well, at least to me. i think esther looks amazing and if that sort of style were replicated for these other revamps then it would probably work. but this style that's been revealed in the last few revamps is somewhat over the top, and this one in particular is actually kind of scary looking. i don't hear these characters' voices in their new art. but that's just me. i appreciate that revamps are being made and that the artist works hard on them and it sucks that so much bitching and fighting comes out of it each time.

Well, the art is gorgeous. Whoever drew her has some major talent. But she doesn't look like Shinwa. More like a mortal child dressed as Shinwa for Morostide. Meanwhile, I look forward to what is to come!
The only thing bothering me is the "glued on" laugh of her. It already bothered me on Esther, it looks so affected. Not sure why. It looks like she is practicing it in front of a mirror... XD
The quality of art here is amazing. Everything is so sharp and detailed. We getting these clothes in some form, right? RIGHT? You can't flaunt that belt at me and then leave me to a life without it.
I do find the face a bit jarring, though, and I think it's largely due to the relationship between her hair and her cheek on her right side (our left). The hair seems to be falling behind her cheek, when it should probably still be covering it slightly.
It's not a critique but its just saying my opinion I don't like it and I think a poll with a critique option at the end should be used. This is as much as the user's site as it is the developers. If a majority of the users don't like some thing create a poll to confirm its majority then fix it.
