And after my last run here, I made a makeshift repair on the tailgate. I noticed that two mounting points were suitable for a bolt down. The setting is strong enough to hold the tailgate down without looking obvious. I will need to open this carefully, since the material is a decade old.
The body work for the rear fender is on hold until I can gather enough money to pay the cost. The alternator fiasco drained me of the little I had stashed. But I'm willing to make sacrifices to finish up my vehicular mishaps.
Oh nice! That sounds like it will be a great repair for some time! What's going on with the fender? I am glad it will hold for a bit, Those alternators....oooooWEEEE they can be costly! I think mine ran 235, but I had to get it at one of those lil off shoot stores, because we couldn't find it anywhere else at the time. For me, that was just too much. But I wanted that car back! lol
That's when I'm grateful for the support I have. My car's alternator cost $288, my father gave me $100, I put down the $100 I was paid from a job, and paid the difference out of pocket.
It's a long hard road I'm going down, and just keeping to a car is enough frustration.
I just don't like paying that much for anything....lol I am stingy with my money, when it is something I need. But that car was a gem, and it was worth it to pay that much. It's wonderful to have the support of loved ones, who are willing and able to help. ❤

Today's selection is a podcast by Cyantific.
Honestly I tapped this by mistake, I was trying to log onto iTunes... Beats me how that happened.
Lovely HA, very flattering.
[edit] Awesome vid, I like how the bassist is Wanye DeBack.
Hi guys! It's Gypsi. I changed my username again so that there won't be any confusion. :)
Nice!

I love it!! And I love the color Wisteria. YUM!
You'll always be my Gypsi-girl tho..... :)
I don't mind so much about the babysitting, more about how tired I am. Maybe looking for a job as a preschool teacher needs a rethinking....
& I see you posted but it won't open. :( Windows 7 is breaking down 😢
Things happen. I have to make peace with it. Challenging, but jokes help! :)
I'll start by posting the song that got me to join iTunes. Sequenz (Mefjus remix) by neosignal
I will try to post daily, per your suggestion.
Wonderful HA.

If y'all need a laugh, here's a story for you: We have a lot of little blue-tailed lizards/skinks around our house, and every now and then, we get one in our sunny front room. My cat St. John is great at hunting them, and just loves to get one and take it too his mesh cube and put it in it and watch it run around. It's really funny to see, but I always catch them and put them back outside. Okay, keep that thought in your mind.
Lately, he's been wanting me out of bed sooner than I want, and he'll either scratch at the box spring, or get on the bed and pick at me and the covers. I've been trying to teach him not to do it, but it's a work in progress. Okay, keep that in mind, too.
The other day, I was having a nap – - I hadn't slept that night, so I was sleeping pretty hard. I gradually became aware that St. John was on the bed and was picking at my blanket. I mumbled for him to stop, but he didn't, of course, so I tried to wake up enough to move him off the bed. As I sat up, I saw that he wasn't looking at me, like he normally would be, but had all his attention on the blanket, near my leg. It hit me immediately, that he must have something on the bed that he was playing with. I grabbed at the blanket, to jerk it off me and get up, and slung a skink up toward me. I struggled to sit up further and get the blanket off me and get off the bed (I use a fifteen pound weighted blanket, so it's not an easy thing to do). In doing so, I put my hand right on the little creature! I squawked, rolled over fast to get away from it, and, being closer to the edge of the bed than I thought, rolled right off onto my hands and knees! I was stunned at first, then it became funny and I have cracked up every time I have thought about it since! Luckily, I didn't really get hurt. I landed hard on one knee, as that was the first place I hit, and it did swell up just a bit, but otherwise, just some pretty nasty bruising on both knees. (I was able to catch the little guy and get him out of the house, by the way. St. John had carried him back into the living room and was playing happily when I finally made it up off the floor. . . It really WAS funny!)
Thanks to some timely calls this morning, I'm set up for the semester's expenses. My sister had asked me to setup some shelves in her garage, and to come for further cleaning. Also a cousin is to give me details for tomorrow.
My books are paid for, and the next task is the bodywork for my car. I see that I'm not going alone in this endeavor. In light of the benefit, I fell that must put my part where it's needed.
