(((hugs))) Thanks so much! It's been a lovely birthday!
So sorry! (((hugs)))
I'm glad! :D

Oh my sweet friend, I am so sorry. Sure hope this doesn't make life much harder than it has been for you. I know the financial ramifications can be scary, if you really needed the employment to keep you afloat. Keeping you in my prayers. ❤ ((((((((Judy))))))))) ❤
Happy birthday, @ FeyViolet! May your special day be full of beautiful new memories! ❤ 🎈 🍰
One last day, tomorrow mine take this old truck for inspection. My friend tells me it may be exempt after this year, since it's over 25 years old. He knows because the 740iL had also been put under that status, and his current 740i is close to it. I don't have time to tell my father until morning... I still wonder why he asked me to address this so late in the month, especially if the registration is close to expiration.
Should this turn out favorable, then I switch to my car. The component I ordered online has been lost in the mail, and I'm unable to request a replacement or refund without returning the original item...which was lost in the mail... I was forced to buy another, and with that I've chosen to cut my losses and will no longer buy car parts from Amazon... or anything for the matter, once the order arrives the account is to be terminated. Mine washing my hands of this place.
Nice snag from the Ring Toss:
Thank you! (((hugs))) It's been a lovely day!
And the verdict is... not passable. Despite my efforts and considering the short timeframe, the truck has too many codes to make repairs an immediate option. I also learned that a car or truck has to be 1995 or older to be exempt.
I'm too frayed about this ordeal to want to make any further work today. Also my Zoom meeting is in a few hours, that is more important. A solution may come forward in the next days, though I now have to shift my attention to my car. At least this car has no issues I'm aware of, passing inspection shouldn't pose any problems.

My car is easy by comparison, it has no trouble codes and the only issues are some bodywork or replacing electrical components. I also have a full month to resolve this.
The truck is going to be a long difficult and expensive endeavor. I know I'll need to get help from my brothers and friends.
yeah i found the threasd.i had LOVE you guys and felt hiorrid in the pit of my stomach... i am glad you atr all here in one brokennot together or together i love you all~~~

Glad to hear the car is a less intensive venture. Hoping nothing too extensive stands in your way of completing what needs to happen, before that month ends. ;)
At most it'll mean I'll be without transportation for a couple of days. Fortunately I don't have many pressing matters that need a car.
And... The cactus patches are starting to show purple fruit. I think another week will yield enough to start harvesting, and preparing the first batches of sorbet.
Well, that sounds doable. I do hope so anyway.
So excited for your harvest! :D I love hearing about your sorbet adventures! Will you be making some for others again this year? Oh to be one of those folks! YUM!
I have to make it work, otherwise I have no suitable transport.
I only make for others, rarely eating any myself. The first batch is for the other friend and family, they asked to pick fruit to eat off the plant. My plan is to make until I run out of agave nectar.
How sweet! I bet they are appreciative! That stuff is delicious, what a treat!
[edit] I have no doubt that you'll get that car ship shape! ;)
(((Hugs))) I'm sorry you lost your job!
It was only less intrusive because I left the door panels off before the new switch had been installed. Though I did have to redo the installation to properly seat this new component. After reconnecting the battery and testing every function, I'm able to report a successful repair.
Immediately after I took a look at the hatch door, to see if I could open it from inside. I figured the mechanism in under a minute. All I really wanted to do was close it correctly, since it had been partially open before I had left my car waiting.
I'm still awaiting the delivery for the tailgate for my car, which is due for this weekend. I have plenty of time to prep my car for inspection, and get advising towards resolving the registration issue.
AWESOME! So rewarding, even for me, to see your work pay off. Hoping that all goes well with the tailgate delivery, and that install won't prove too difficult. ❤
I'm certain it won't be a problem, the original can still open the hatch properly. I simply keep it closed to suppress the gate warning light.
With this in mind, I asked my friend if I could bring my bass to change out the pickups. After my research, I have a better understanding of the process. Two sets of pickups and two sets of control knobs, shouldn't be more than a couple of hours. He simply has better electronics repair equipment.
