A part of this is just me ranting of course, but it seems crazy to me that an individual user can be reported for not knowing the future of a system and they're held accountable by another person's assumption, not what they actually said or meant. ...That really makes me incredibly sad. I just found a bunch of my old PSDs I thought were gone for good and now they might as well be because someone could have assumed I meant something I didn't. Seems like a huge waste, especially as an artist. =/
I have a big present for you guys today! Finally, I was able to get my hands on the full sizes of the UPDATED HA base in all the skin tones! (Well, all the natural skin tones - not red and blue and what not). For now, I have added them to the first section of the FAQ under "General Info", but and I will get them added to the actual CW page as well soon! Here they are as well for your quick reference :)
SPOILER (click to toggle)

WHOOOO! No more blurry lineart on working files (hello 250x500 that is all pixelated, goodbye!)
Firstly, thank you so much for the full-size HAs! Would make things so much easier now <33
I’m sorry if this question has been asked before, but I’m assuming a CW commission is considered commercial use. Would I be able to use brushes that I purchased with commercial license ?
From Section 5/Rule Breaking:
This is great, thank you so much! :D It will be nice not to have to work with a blurry sized up version for the other skin tones. <3
This is heaven. I can't wait to start drawing more!,

YESSS! Thanks so much! 💜

This is going to help SO much. TY Time to save these bad boys.
Hey, so I'm curious before I consider how to approach ordering, I am interested in getting accessories for my shoulder kitty/kitsunes. I've noticed a lot of people upload recolors with accessories but would I be allowed to upload the accessory itself? For me, I think it'd be nice to have a heart or hat or sunglasses for it but it seems a bit crazy to think I'd upload 10 colors of the cats then upload another 10 with the only change being the accessory.
If I got say a heart made or glasses for it and it is made specifically to work with that cw (so if you didn't have the cat it might honestly look like a floating pair of sunglasses or a really misplaced pin) would I be able to upload that? (Barbies accessories are sold separately is my best way to explain it lol) and if I could submit an item like that, what would I submit it under?
That's unfortunate :c I'd love to have the option to sell accessories for the cats rather than have to upload a white cat, a black cat, then a black cat with a heart and a white heart with a heart; rather than just a black cat, a white cat and a heart. Seems a bit cumbersome and gets expensive for everyone involved.
I'm just curious if the reason has anything to do with the fact that the item itself isn't able to fall within our categories or if there was another reason because there are a number of floating items made for things like specific wigs that could arguably be subject to the same standard.
The hair accessories are not a good comparison. They aren't made to specifically work with only one wig out of thousands. You have the choice to pick just the most popular cat colors + the most popular accessories to release. The point of the CW system is to work with the HA system as a whole, not to dress up a specific individual wearable critter.
Completely understandable, I can see how that kind of gets out of the overall purpose of CWs. Thankfully some items accidentally work well together (after a bit of searching there's a bunch of brooches in the wardrobe that sit just under the cats paws so that could be fun to explore more!).
Thank you so much for the response and clarity <3
Hello everyone! It's been quite a while since we had a grammar reminder, and a lot of issues are popping up. Please review the following! While changing the occasional mistake is okay, we are going to need to start denying repeat offenders to correct the issues themselves -- it takes up a lot of time for us to fix all the errors prior to acceptance.
Items need to have proper capitalization. That means that every letter should be capitalized with the exception of articles. We see a lot where only the first word is capitalized. Correct: Fluffy Tail of the Kitty Cat Incorrect: Fluffy tail of the kitty cat
Item descriptions need to have punctuation at the end. This is true for even one-word descriptions. Correct: This wig reminds me of the sun! Incorrect: This wig reminds me of the sun
Correct: PIE! Incorrect: PIE
Ellipses are always THREE periods. This is a big one! Also there is a space after the last period and before the first letter of the next word. Correct: I don't know... maybe we shouldn't go. Incorrect: I don't know......... maybe we shouldn't go.
We use American English spellings on Subeta! Correct: This is a nice purple color! Incorrect; This is a nice purple colour!
Not really a grammar thing (at least intentionally), but line breaks do not work in descriptions! We mostly see this when people try to use song lyrics as descriptions. You'll have to format it like sentences with punctuation and the like, because the line breaks just make a big run-on sentence.
Thank you so much everyone! Paying attention to these little things REALLY helps the process for us - and it helps items get accepted faster. It's really hard for me to update these things if I'm doing the queue on mobile, so items with the above issues end up having to wait longer if I'm working remotely!
The word "of" is not an article. Do you mean "with the exception of articles and prepositions"? The usual title rule is to lowercase articles (a, an, the), coordinating conjunctions (and, or), and prepositions (of, in, to, with, for, from, etc).
There are finer details that vary with the convention source. See ">https://capitalizemytitle.com/
