I'm sorry jessi for causing your frustration as I was the one wanting clarification on AI resources after being nearly duped myself on Facebook..I wanted clarification after being gone for a while and I was concerned of the implications of being duped as an artist. I thankfully since have found AI apps that find if it's AI or not. I do my best to find reputable resources but it's even filtering into websites like pixabay. I don't agree with AI myself but felt I needed to apologize..especially after reading your update. That being said thank you for updating it out in the open. I've seen other artist sites welcome AI like deviantart..so I sent in the ticket.
This was in no way directed at you! I'm sorry if I worried you that it was. That being said, you did the exact right thing - if anyone ever has a question about what can and can't be used as a reference, submitting a ticket BEFORE you submit the CW is the best way to do it!
CW question from ground zero (I haven't a CLUE how to even begin) How do I go about starting? How do I find someone to commission (because I have no clue)?
I recommend starting here: https://new.subeta.net/cws/help/intro
How do I find the Preview section ? I just submitted a CW for the first time.
[edit] What does this mean and how do I fix it? [box=#eeddcc]Uh oh! There was an error submitting the form: validation.mimetypes[/box]
It's in the submission! When you have uploaded both versions of the overlay into the submission (if you need both, one of you do not) it will show you a preview of it on the HA!
I got an "Uh Oh" when I tried to submit the second one. I think it isn't submit-able? Do I start over (canceling that one) and try again?
It should note what is causing the submission issue, can you take and post screenshots of your submission page? You can comment or sMail them to me and I can try to help :)
Oh good!
Hi everyone. Friendly reminder (and I am begging you) -- please please please pleeeeeeease don't use Discord links to send me your reference files. Half the time these links don't work, and then I have to deny the item and get a new link. Please use a website like Imgur or something else to share your reference images with me! It just makes things easier all around.
Discord changed their policy, so they refuse to HOST images anymore. It's not a viable place to link from anymore.
I know you're on vacation so hopefully you won't see this til you're back to work, but I have a question that isn't addressed and is a new thing for me haha.
With an artist leaving and letting us buy our PSDs, I know that I need to link to where the permission is shown for me to recolor the items myself now when I submit, but do I need to do that for future recolors of the same item (i.e., I did that for my - going forward since I'm now the listed artist on the item, do I still need to note in the notes section the original artist and that I have permission with a link, or for something I've shown you I was given permissions for once I've had one color by me done, am I clear to not need to make the note every time)?
Each submission note should still contain, say "Original by , recolored by me!" or something similar. It doesn't need all the details, but we do need to have the original artist in the note to help us keep track. I hope that makes sense!
Yes that makes perfect sense to me. I'm happy to keep including that information I just wasn't sure if you needed the permission link haha.
- I have a question about the order of how the queue is processed as it seems to be done in reverse order of when items are submitted. For example, I have three items that I submitted prior to this past approval date (yesterday). All three items were recolors. Here's a little table to show the timeline of things.
ITEM | DATE/TIME
SUBMITTED | DATE/TIME
APPROVED |
Gilded Draped Dolly | March 25
3:24 PM | Still In
Queue |
March 26
10:21 AM | March 28
11:56:30 PM | |
March 26
10:27 AM | March 28
11:56:26 PM |
I can accept that the Gilded Draped Dolly was skipped over because it was my first time recoloring an item, so if it needs further review, I totally understand. If it doesn't though, it should have been the first of my three items approved because it was in the queue the longest.
Even without including the Gilded Draped Dolly, my other two items were accepted in the reverse order of what I submitted. It's just odd and confusing to users on the releasing side as to why this happens, especially when sometimes we put items into the queue in a specific order, only to then have them approved in the opposite.
Thanks for reading my long-winded post and for providing any explanation of the behind-the-scenes queue log.
Hahaha sometimes it probably does seem like i do it in reverse order! It's because if I'm short on time but want to make sure i do as much as i can, i start with recolors first. A lot of times that means I start a few pages back (the queue has 10 items per page) and work my way forward through recolors, so the stuff I know I have to review more thoroughly is at the top.
ETA - I do this so lots of things I can accept end up on the same page! It helps makes things go faster and smoother.
Hi I just had a few questions regarding the squirrel companion that’s based on the Japanese Flying Squirrel of Hokkaido. Ozo and I were talking about it and thought maybe instead of trying to keep creating a companion for the shoulder it would be better to completely rethink it. So, I thought of doing something like branches that the HA could semi peek through and the squirrels in the trees since that seems to be their more natural habitat. I’m just wondering if I would submit that as a third attempt since we probably wouldn’t change the CI or if that would be considered a whole new item and if it would instead be a background like
Thanks for the input.
