I have been on Subeta for the last 13 and a bit years out of the 16 and I think my favorite thing has been to see the site change and evolve over the years. I love all the inventive plots and all the time an effort that gets put even into the little things. Another favorite over the years has been the kindness of mostly strangers on and around Luminaire it really gives you hope. All the people in this community are just amazing. And I have made at least one great friend though this site. Happy Anniversary and thank you! :D

Happy Anniversary Subeta! I love coming on the site, it helps me relax and have fun even when I'm having not such a great time in real life. There are so many cool, creative, and generous people on here.

I've been on here almost 14 years myself, and I have so many memories. I remember the old restock wars, and feeling so great when I got a good item by restocking. I loved the old holiday shop and getting items from there. The trivia was a fun thing to do. I love all the art on here, especially of the pets, both old versions and new. I also remember guilds and how I was in a nice one for a bit. Now I have a great forum group that I belong to instead. I have so many great pieces of art that were drawn for me as well over the years.

I've loved all the plots. I especially love Survival and Morostide. In the old days, I remember you couldn't choose what virus you got when bitten with during survival. But I love seeing all the new skins that come out every year as well and picking the ones you want. Esther and Emma's wedding was also a lovely event.

I could keep rambling on but I won't, lol. I hope there are more plots/events/contests in the future and that the site just keeps growing and flourishing. :)

I've only been here for a couple of months -- my girlfriend invited me to come play with her when the pet name thing became unrestricted. My favorite memory so far is just how excited she was to have me start playing and showing me around the site, she's a beautiful person and I love her so much. She's been here for years, so I'm glad I can share in something she appreciates so much.

Another thing I will say, the community here is incredibly friendly compared to other online game communities I've been to. I love how kind people have been to me since arriving, it makes me feel very welcome.

Something I'm looking forward to? The next big event that happens to pop up! I'm ready to have my first subeta event.

Wow so many years! Been here 10 myself. I have many great memories from plots to groups, and my favorites are the friends I've made. I always remember with love the plots where we had to solve puzzles and search for different things. Hope there can be another one soon: Blake go on another adventure and find a new zone on Sacred Land or something. I would love to see more from Shengui Guo.

I also loved the Morostide plots because I love Jaxon so much. haha

Wow, I went to bed and came back to 7 pages! I can't wait to go through and look at everyone's memories.

I figured it'd be good to share some of mine. I've made some of my closest friends on Subeta, including a few that no longer play on the site but I talk to practically every day. I even managed to get one to move to my city for a while!

Some of my favorite memories are messing with y'all, of course. ;) I remember doing some sneaky stuff with Mythica (old artist) for token shop restocks back in the day where we'd put in like white text in the news post exactly when something would restock. Or getting all the ladybug items added for Keith's birthday (best sister award right there).

I'm also like constantly shocked that we actually killed off a little girl NPC in one of our plots. I remember it playing out and chatting with Keith like wow is ... is this really going to happen? I'm happy that we've never shied from adventures like that. PIRATES FOR LIFE, BY THE WAY.

Hands down favourite event was Epicon! All those references in the prize items were so delicious :D

But really loved Blake Steele and the Murder Mystery events too. Oh and must not forget the counselor's cruise and learning all about the different areas of Subeta!

Of course, all the people and friendships I've made over the years.

Subeta has been so incredibly accepting, open and loving?? from the staff to the players, there's just this atmosphere of communication and respect. pet sites in general have taken a big dive over the past ten years (and continue to do so - charity corner 2020, anyone?). Subeta is the only site that I feel actually really improves with each year. the art is absolutely amazing (those montly battle challengers?? stunning), old art gets reworked and refined, and there's so much interaction between staff and players. it's the small things like changing old, offensive item descriptions, or answering our questions on newsposts, or keeping us updated when things get delayed - it really, really makes a difference.

to many more happy years! I genuinely hope Subeta stays around forever. I'm so glad there's finally a subscription service (I'd been lobbying for a patreon, but this is even better!) and I hope everyone is staying safe with 2020 and related things.

also I love all the fan references and small nods to other parts of the internet. my favourite item on the site is the based off of allie brosh's hyperbole and a half comic ^-^

oh, and something I will never stop hoping for (will it ever happen again?) is... another Reading Drive D: i've been collecting books for like 6 years now!

And why did you want a patreon for the site instead of subscriptions?

before the idea of subscriptions was around, patreon was already a thing and I (along with some others), wanting to support the site with my measly USD4.99 per month, thought it could have been a nice idea :) in-site subscriptions are much more elegant, so I'm happy.

and yea the only thing I lack on subeta is the (moderate, if we're honest) thrill of pet trading, so I play both depending on my mood. I do keep getting silenced over there lol

I've never been terribly social here, but been here almost all along. According to my dashboard, 15 years, 11 months, 4 weeks, currently, which always makes me laugh. There's been a lot of ups and downs and sideways on here over the years, but I stick around because I love the events and collecting things that make me happy.

Happy 16th Subeta and thank you. So many memories are made on here. You seem to attract the nicest folk from all around the world that gather here for fun and relaxation. I've been here for over 12 years

• joining and almost quitting as a newbie because everything felt too expensive until my referring friend said to try quests :'D to think I was close to quitting
• chatting with my friends in guilds when they were a thing
• releasing cws featuring my dog for the ci when my dog was still alive
• ferzull getting released o3o
• participating in battle of the bands, it was so epic for subeta's history and competitive, good fun to impersonate daft punk on here and come up with subetan versions of their songs

Happy 16th! I'm happy I've to say I've spent spend 9 of those 16 years with you Subeta!

I think my most treasured memories of the site are probably; my first time experiencing each holiday event (luminaire! i was delighted!), sending gifts back and forth to my friends (picking out the most unique items and writing the silliest messages), and the first and only time I won the potion lottery and got a common potion, lol. Honestly there are too many fond memories to chose from, I really love this site, and how kind and inclusive it tries to be, and how much joy it has given me.

I only hope that the coming years are just as wonderful and I hope to be around to share them.

My favorite memories were when I first started as a freshman in high school in my school library playing Subeta instead of studying.

Now I'm an adult with real bills a life but Subeta always brings me back to that time in my life and it's crazy how long it's been.

I'm so glad I found this site, the pets are adorable, the avatar setup is amazing, and I love the all around great atmosphere the site has and I'm so glad to be here!

I was 13 when this site opened, and I'm 29 now.

This site is what introduced me to PHP. PHP is what I used to code my Vocaloid fansite. The work on that Vocaloid fansite netted me work at my college, because I was the only PHP programmer in the entire department. That web work led me to getting a QA job after I dropped out of college, and now five years after that, I have a well-paying Software Quality Engineer job without a college degree. I feel so lucky and it's so funny that a petsite slowly led me to this place, on top of it being a constant in my life during all the intense turbulence I went through.

(PS: I still code in PHP in my free time for fun)

Hope: Get things started up and active again in the forum group I moderate (but that has more to do with real life and the pandemic tbh). Dream: That Subeta will exist and function smoothly lol. Memory: When the staff all dressed their avatars as Islanders and surprised the members with the first Islanders vs. Pirates plot!

I think one of my favourite things is when I get random event buddies, like that ONE PERSON who kisses me hundreds of times or whomever I randomly decide to send EVERY FLOWER EVER to or dancing partners, etcetc, whom I wouldn't otherwise talk to but we almost always decide to friend each other after the event and often come back to being event buddies!

specifically, I know we literally never talk but I love seeing you in my sidebar year after year <3 =D

I'm honestly just here for a good time & a long time, I don't have any specific hopes/dreams (well, subeta sticking around is obvs a requirement, but otherwise I'm just vibing!)
