My favorite thing was the music / band event a few years ago. It was also the first time I did a user run event. It was so much fun!! I love lumi trees ans placing gifts under them - for friends and random users ;D Besides that my friends and pets and also collections are my love on site :)

My wishes for the site are: just go on and never close Subeta! Maybe my daughter will play together with me one day <3

I really like when we have plots that give NPCs some more back story. My favorite is the Jackson and Ian plot. I hope we can see more of them soon! I'm also really hoping we can get answers soon on the Gunther.

My favorite memories of subeta are the friends I’ve met here. I have met so many amazing people over the years and had so many good times with them. There’s so many amazing people on this website and I’m so lucky to call many of them my friends.

Before I even made an account, I had a friend who was on Subeta who introduced me to the site through the pet art, which she would emulate in her sketchbook. I was floored by the detail and variety of many of the colors, and started reading about past plots and NPCs on subeta.wikia. It really felt like stepping into a world. So when I finally made an account myself, I decided my status should be "pretending to be a tourist..." because that's how I felt wandering around all these whimsical webpages.

I've never changed my status since. :)

Subeta's sweet 16!!!! Jeeze, there are items on the site to commemorate Keith's 16th, now the site itself is that old.

I have a lot of good memories on subeta, I joined in May 2011. It's hard to pick only one in that amount of time, this is my favorite site still, as much as I get bothered by the problems every now and then it's only because it is my favorite site and I want to play.

I don't know if it's on-site related, but back a long time ago, subeta used to do real-life meetups, and I was only like.. 16 or 17 myself at the time??? But there was a meetup right near where I lived (in NC!) and I hadddd to gooo 😭 The people there were really people of all ages, it was really cool. I remember sitting down on the grass in the circle and Keith was talking about the upcoming closure of the Graveyard Shop... that's how long ago that was. Amber sent a notebook or something around so we could write our subeta usernames on it so we could be given the achievement and prizes on site :D It was surreal. I think Destiny may have been there as well? When I got back home there was an online meetup to reconnect with the people who had been at the irl meetup and it was just as surreal seeing online usernames describe themselves "I was the one who was wearing xyz!" etc. Although I'm a hermit with severe social anxiety and can't maintain relationships beyond talking to people once a decade... It is a good memory to have - unfortunately I also have memory issues so what I described is just about all I have from that meetup. 😭 Especially now with everything that's gone on in the world since then, meetups don't look like they'll return ever... It really was a once in a lifetime opportunity to meetup with my favorite site. (Although I wouldn't mind those meetup items being re-released another way because I am a Fool and sold mine for some reason)

What do I hope to see from subeta in the next year? Maybe the pet profile code revamp where the content and css were going to have separate inputs... I'm writing a rather long story and I'm concerned it won't actually fit 😅

I joined almost 8 years ago but really only started playing at the beginning of 2017 because I found out there were achievements. 👀 so I started gettin thos achievs, decided to join a discord server that I saw in a special someone's signature, and ended up meeting the most special person in my life! without subeta I never would have met and I'm so thankful <3

Wow sweet 16!

For me my favorite memory was last years moroside (was it last year or the year before?) It was the first big plot event I got to participate in and I'd been in a small subeta group at the time (it got too big for me so I left out of anxiety), and it was tons of fun trying to guess what would happen next and solving puzzles together.

And getting to see Ian and Jaxon finally together was of course the best part of all. <3

As for hopes, well besides the search engine coming back soon hopefully, I hope to see a continuation on what happened with Gunther...

Cheers to 16 years! I can't believe it's been 16 years and even more so, that I've been around just over 15 of them. I wasn't very active in my first year, but I've visited nearly daily ever since. That's incredible to think of how much time that might add up to.

I found the site when someone was talking about it on Neoquest chat, and was floored by the pet designs - before HAs were ever introduced. And I had a lot of friends join during the great Neo migration of 2005-2006, lol. Anyway, that was so long ago and it's fun to think back!

Some of my best memories are of course the plots, specifically Omen Islands, early Survival and Jaxon/Ian plots. And the Saheric temple plot, as frustrating as it was. I especially love the annual events of Survival and Morostide. I had a top 20 pet for a while, which was really cool, and really enjoyed the first costume contest (I was a weeping angel) and battle of the bands. I hate that I'm not as much into training and battling as I once was, but I had a lot of fun and frustration along the way. Oh, and I just remembered enjoying the trivia contest.

Anyway, I've made so many long-time friends here, so I have to say thanks for that!

I LOVED the Peka festival and that one summer cruise. I miss those kinds of events.

My favorite memory is when there were only a couple pets, a few games, the cults (haha) and not much to do. The beginning! This site has grown SO much it is amazing. :)

no wonder the site keeps breaking, it's a moody teenager! XD all i wish for for the future is for the site to become easier to manage/fix/build so that staff don't have to (what feels like) continually chase their tails to fix stuff, instead of being able to focus on new exciting events and plots and items for the site, as well as getting to enjoy being here as well. i'm sure it can be frustrating sometimes. i'll always appreciate all the work put into subeta that makes this such a fun and inclusive place to hang out and waste way too much time ❤ ❤ ❤ much love

I love that plots actually change the site and history of it. There is actual growth and a story to follow along with.

I joined subeta in my 20s, but it has been a sort of retreat for me from the many stresses of life. My childhood bestie got me to join, and I have met MANY wonderful friends here. For me, the plots have been fun! (I really loved the original plot on Sacred Lands with Blake, and the cruise was so fun too! But a lot of of them have been awesome. I miss plots!) But it's the people and the relationships that keep me visiting.

I have seen subeta "grow up" along with it's members. I see you guys making better decisions and figuring out things to make this sustainable and awesome for many more years. In spite of any technical bumps, Subeta's staff has always been friendly, light-hearted and kind. It feels like you guys aren't some unknown tech people, but friends we know and bump into on the site and that is definitely one thing I love about subeta and you guys! <3

Happy birthday Subeta! Grateful for this place and all the amazing people.

I know my account says I've been here 10 years, but I was here before then..I remember the little train on the bottom of the page, when was that, 2004-2005? So I think I've been around almost since the beginning. Subeta has grown so much, and I am so happy that I found it. Whenever I feel really down, the people on here always cheer me up <3

I think my favorite experience was coming back honestly. I dropped a lot of things during college and my first few years working. I knew I had an account, but thought it had been deleted and the users here were so helpful in helping me locate the not actually deleted account, and the staff were so helpful getting me settled back into it.

That's because last year we had other challengers instead. We probably will get something battle-related later today or soon after.

I think my best memories are linked to things like free shop, or donation corner giveaways. It was amazing to go and swap with my friends, who needed certain things!

What I want for next year? Pet slots. Many pet slots. All the pet slots

subeta was around for me as i was falling in love with a girl for the first time and realizing i was some sort of queer, eleven or twelve years ago when i was about sixteen. the girl i fell in love with invited me to play subeta with her (we met on neopets, lmao.) it was a stressful time in my life - i come from incredibly religious, controlling, abusive parents. subeta was a spot of fun in the middle of all that.

and here i am, more than a decade later, fully an adult now and queer as hell. i live with the love of my wife and intend to marry her in the next few years sometime. i have a good job and a wonderful home and a dog and a bird and my side-hustle is taking off and i've embraced being nonbinary and my friends and family all support that because i've curated the people around me and gotten rid of all the bad or abusive voices.

baby Bright could never have imagined how things would turn out, but subeta has been one of those things that's around for me in the background through everything. i'll always remember racing thru wizard quests with my ex via AIM - we would start at the same time and whoever messaged first that they were done was the winner. or how she kept sending me chibi potions because she knew i loved adorable chibi pets. i'm pretty sure i actually told her i was in love with her for the first time, or that i had feelings for her anyway, here thru smail.

i've made friends here and there since, but for the most part these days i play alone. subeta has been an escape from real life for me for more than a decade and i'm grateful!!
