I thought the Expedition Unknown was great information. Josh Gates always inserts goofy humor into his shows but they are always informative and laden with history. I didn't bother watching Eat Prey Chum and I am probably going to delete it off my DVR. I'm hoping tonight is a bit better. :)

Same, I feel like we've had this conversation before, about channels not showing the things they used to or not even related to the channel at all... MTV, Animal Planet, the History Channel and Discovery have all gone through this. It's sad because I really like to see long documentaries about animals like those ones David Attenborough narrates.

Eat Prey Chum is definitely not worth the watch and what spurred my rant lol I tuned out less than halfway through. It was really reality tv, scripted, comedy, lots of unnecessary setup with humans, jokes, facetime video, campfire stories, pigs on an island... Really nothing to do with sharks until like 3/4s of the way through, and by that point I wasn't in the mood to hear what they had to say about them. It was basically the same setup as last year's with Shaq but with even less info and enjoyability.

At least I think BBC is still working on some of those documentaries. Didn't they just release more sequels to the Planet Earth and Blue Planet series? So we have that anyway lol.

I guess maybe people just aren't as interested in those sorts of shows anymore though, since everything can be looked up on google and wikipedia and stuff if they really want to know. IDK but I also still like those kinds of things, and the visuals on some of them are really good too.

Yes I like all that stuff :D On discovery channel now they keep advertising what looks like a documentary like that called Serengeti about African wildlife and looks like it will be on sunday at 8pm est and commercial free. I'm interested in it. My parents don't seem to like watching these things because they find it depressing when they show predators killing prey. Today's shark week programming is a lot better than yesterday, and more along the lines of what I wanted.

Well I'm glad there's been some better stuff on, at least :)

It's a glitch that has to do with user hovers that Bug is trying to fix, but I guess it's kind of complicated because they've been trying a few things and I think it's mostly fixed, but some of the usernames are still showing weird (like mine) and just being stubborn lol.

Last Night's programming was definitely much better. I can show all the episodes to my boys (11 and 8). I much prefer that kind of programming over the mockumentaries for Shark Week. Even the made for tv movie airing on Wednesday night (based on a true event), is pushing it for me. I much prefer the factual and informative shows.

Hopefully it gets fixed soon. It is kinda annoying.

Yeah, I hope we get them soon too. I know they're working on it, but I think the site is still having some issues that may be preventing them from rolling it out. Hopefully it can all get sorted out soon though. :)

There are two new ones listed in the Item Directory, a book and a wearable. The other prizes will probably be the same from previous years that you can find on Subetalodge.

I am still hoping they will have one or two surprise items lol. Prob wishful thinking.

I feel the exact same way! It does irritate me every year that they somehow push both narratives, that sharks are curious beautiful creatures, and that they're bloodthirsty people-eaters. It's weird.

It's pretty good if you need some earth and physical defense, which I do since I can't afford the Ornamented Hook Swords or the Ether yet. So it's a nice bonus weapon to get for sort of "free" lol.

I was also able to beat the Mutant Scientist 5 times to get the Unstable Sample Syringe, so that might be helpful too. And I should be able to finally get the Manifesting Weapon during Morostide this year. Yay progress :)

I'm glad there are a lot of decent weapons we can earn from battling and not just having to spend a bunch of sP ~
