I just finished my achs for the gliders and golems now. So satisfying to be finishing these. I wonder if I will be able to kill a gelatin wizard this time let alone 10. Gelatin wars always make me nostalgic for my early days on site, floundering during my first one was my motivation in training altogether.

There's so much I don't understand about battling so it's no wonder my pet does at max about 5k damage at once (edit to clarify that the 5k is for the whole battle over a few turns). Modding, scrolls, and icons just seem to go over my head. But I've never been a strategist I guess, reminds me of playing pokemon I always just brute strength through most things.

Lol I still just try to brute force my way through most of the challengers, I just switch up my weapons depending on icons, but it's usually based on recommendations from others.

Another thing I forgot to mention, if you have any freezing scrolls, it's worth it to try using those as well. If you can manage to chain freeze him a bit (freeze him multiple turns in a row), you can get some extra hits in and do a bit more damage per battle.

I was really lazy yesterday getting through the lag and I only fought him 100 times. 😢 I was hoping the damage counter would be available now so I could see my average damage per 100 battles. But now I fought the gelashells 10 times even though I finished that ach. Guess I will go ahead and continue the hydra and hope the lag stays back.

Frustrating as I would end the battle and open the healer in a new tab, go back and start the new battle only to have that page load first and tell me my pet has 0 hp because my healer tab didn't load faster. Darn it

I've also been pretty lazy so far, but we still have a decent number of days to try for it. I may work on it some more later today or tomorrow lol, but it's a bit hard to work up the motivation when I don't really need another Core. I would like the other prizes though, especially since I think there are some new ones in the Item Directory...

Bug said the damage counter will come out tomorrow. I'm gonna go to 500 battles tonight and see where I am (at 400 now). I don't think I'm anywhere near enough any damage but without the counter I've been throwing myself at the hydra aimlessly. Wish it would have been out on the first day. I also put mod crystals on my weapons for the first time but I'm absolutely clueless about them. I think it's helping but it might just be a placebo effect.

Ooh new items... Hope I can do what's needed for them.

And good luck with the Hydra battles! I'm not sure what the thresholds are going to be for the other prizes, it's usually based on the average amount of damage people end up doing and they scale the prizes kind of based on that. So 15 mil is the max for the Core, so I don't think any of the prizes are going to require more damage than that. I think the highest for the other prizes may even end up being lower than the 15 mil requirement, since that's already pretty high and it's mostly just to keep the Core having some value. I don't expect all that many people are going to make it to that amount, so the rest of the prizes will probably have somewhat more reasonable requirements. But it's hard to say for sure until the end.

But I have no time for this now! The hydra awaits.

I'm kind of hoping there is a quest-a-thon sometime this summer lol. I don't really need the extra pet slot, but I still like participating in them. Especially when they sometimes do the bonus prizes like releasing some extra holiday items again.

me looking at the gelatin stompers, having forgotten they existed. Aand I'm killed instantly... well back to the hydra which I need less than 100 battles now to get to my 1500 goal. After that I can pace myself with smaller goals for the next few days, phew.

Yeah! I was using this HA a bit ago for a few days, I just brought it back because I took my Gelatin Slayer out of my wardrobe to use against the gellies. xD

1500 battles with 6,951,795 damage now. Well I could probably do another 500 tonight, I started my next audiobook and need something to do while listening. Then it'll be less I have to do the coming days.

Lol I just keep putting battle and jelly stuff on my av. Once the gellies clear off I'll shark it up. The great white blub in your sig is doubly fitting for the jelly and sharks xD

400 wins (or losses depending on how you look at it lol) and 13,580,733 damage :D almost finished with the big guy! I finally beat 5 Stompers. Took too long and way too much sp (throwing vials and stuff like that + healing), Not sure what to do with that sticky hand thing though. I got a scroll, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. I need to figure out my set. I put the sticky hand in my set and now it says I can only have one healer. stealer, freezer. Not sure how to make my set work now. I really don't want to move everything around just to try one weapon :(

The slappy hand on its own is a stealer that's pretty good, but it can also be used to make the new Genetech combo weapon mentioned in the news that's also a good weapon. Did you check if you maybe had an extra copy of the slappy hand from the last Gelatin war? If you do, it might be worth it to make the Genetech combo and have both. The battle chat thread has more info on the stats of the new weapon.

If you already have one item that says (stealer) under it, you'll have to remove that from your set to use the slappy hand.

Hey Hun and thanks :D I never got one before. This is my first year beating him :D I had to remove my tag. Big bummer since that is what I always start with, Still trying to figure out if it is worth it to keep the hand or not.

I just know it's pretty good from some of the comments from the battle chat, I'm not exactly sure what else is good about it other than it's a (nearly?) guaranteed stealer item, so it's pretty similar to a blaster in that it makes one of your opponent's weapons unusuable.

You could probably ask someone in the battle thread if you want the specific stats, because I don't know them myself and they're not listed on Subetalodge.

But if you have another Maniacal Core (or will be earning one once this is over), it would probably be worth it to create the new Genetech weapon, it has some decent earth and physical blocking abilities.

I will have to think on it. I don't really like going to the boards. Most don't seem all that friendly anymore. I usually only chat here. I have one core. I was hoping to get another concoction this year, but that didn't happen. I was an idiot and sold mine cheap because I just thought it was a wearable that I would never use :(

Most people on the battle chat are pretty friendly though, and especially during the gelatin war I've been seeing a lot of people asking questions and getting some helpful answers. But I understand, it can be daunting if you're not used to chatting there.

I guess it kind of also depends if you would want it for your wardrobe or gallery or something too. Since the green slappy hand is one per account now (achievement prize), it will be hard to find extras for sale.

Also, there's still the Ornamented Hook Swords in the Millionaire Center that do a lot of earth blocking as well. So I guess the new Genetech weapon isn't really necessary, more like a bonus for people who happen to have the required items or extras of them.

At least there's no rush to figure it out, but it's worth holding onto for now.
