I know, we were disappointed with the old hard drive not really being accessible, but it's kind of our own fault for not making extra copies before. But at least we still managed to get some of it back, there were over 5,000 image files I downloaded so it should be plenty lol.

I still have Emily's old school computer that died on us. I should see if can get anything off of it. I would really like to keep some of her papers and stuff that she wrote.

You might be able to try yourself if you wanted to google it with what kind of hard drive you have, or if you have a friend who's good with computers you could see if they might help. You could take it to like an electronics sort of place where they specialize in computers, but it can be a bit expensive if you ask them to do it.

Glad you were able to recoup most. I have a neighbour friend that recouped my hard drives, updated my desktop & more.

I almost collapsed this morning due to the humidity/heat. Luckily I managed to get to my group garden and people took care of me. They found someone to take me home from the church (we garden behind the church). I'm sticking close to my air conditioner at the moment.

If it helps, I don't know if you're on desktop or mobile but you could try zooming the screen out for less scrolling. And when I did it, I just put on some music or TV in the background for something to listen to and just tried to mindlessly crank out as many as I could before taking a break lol.

It does get tiring, but you could probably manage it this year if you just tell yourself to get through it so you don't have to next time. :)

Looking back in my old posts, I evidently would do 1k battles a day on the hydragellos last year. Not sure how I managed that with the quest-a-thon going on at the same time shudders

I don't remember how many battles I did last time against the Hydra, I just know I managed enough damage to get another Core lol. I don't know what I'll do this year, I want the other prizes but I still have a Core sitting in my shop that I haven't sold or anything yet, so I don't really need another. Unless they come out with some other weapon to create in the Genetech Lab or something.

I also don't know what I'll do to the hydra this year since I got my first core last year and don't think I need another. Only difference this time is that last year my pet was t10 and this time he's t12 so it would take less battles. I think I did 2800 battles for 5mil damage last year.

which of these bombs do you think is better? to me they seem about the same despite the huge price difference and I don't know which to use. I had the item hunter one first but I got the acorn a while back and switched it in.

Against the Hydra, you'll probably only last one or two turns anyway unless you have any full-blocker items you could use to extend the battle a few rounds, so I would recommend using both of those and having them in your first two slots in your set.

I made a separate set to use for battling the Hydra and I've got the Acorn Bomb and Bear Head Bomb I got from beating Cynthia as my first two weapons. Basically strategy for the Hydra is to try and maximize your damage dealt in the first turn, and then use your infinite use weapons or other decent bombs you have in the second round, especially if you don't have any good blockers to go extra rounds.

I think last time I was still lasting only two or maybe three rounds sometimes. So using both would probably be a good way to go, and if you have any other high damage bombs you could use those too. But I think those are both good ones if you don't have the bear head.

Of course, they changed the system so we're not competing against other players anymore (I think), and it's just going to be getting to a certain threshold of damage. So you can take as many battles as you need, but getting more damage per turn will decrease the amount of times you need to heal by visiting the healer or using potions, so you can save some sP by strategizing a bit.

Hmm, since you have the Shinwas Temple Shard, it might be worth it to try using that and one of the bombs in the first round, Since that's a full-blocker item it will give you a guaranteed second round at least, where you could use the other bomb and probably paintbrush blades or the Core. Or it might even be worth it to use the Gelatin Slayer as your second weapon there, since it does some extra damage when you use it against Gelatins.

ah man the hydra is here already. After defeating all my minis yesterday I was picturing myself resting until the next wave. D'oh xD Well then I'll make a new battle set with your advice. Temple shard with bomb, then another bomb with gelatin slayer and see how it goes. Switch gelatin slayer with the others you suggested and see what does best.

Though I don't know how much I'll fight him since I'm not sure what the point is now. Reeeally glad I did it last year when it was only 5 mil, 15 mil seems like an impossible grind. Even if there are people who think I don't deserve the core from last year I grinded relentlessly over hours and hours and almost 3 thousand battles I feel like I earned mine. But I also don't know how in the world some people deal 30k+ damage in one hit.

Those are probably people with Tier 13 pets with even higher strength. There's a pretty big range between the max of Tier 12 and the max of Tier 13, so if you combine their pets' strength levels with the amount of icons you can deal from bombs and weapons like the Cronus, you can end up with a lot of damage.

But yeah, at least you were able to get one last year. And I would say you deserve it if you were able to grind for the amount. I think they only raised it so much this year though because a lot of them went out last year (about 200 or so, from what I've heard). They want them to retain some value, of course, but once you have the ME there's not really any point in having extra Cores except to try and sell them.

I'm not sure yet if I'll go all the way up to 15 mil. Right now I'm averaging about 20k damage per battle since I can usually last multiple turns, so it would be about ~750 battles or so. We'll see lol.
