Anyone tested the new weapon yet? What's it do? Is it worth the price tag?

I'm getting this info from the news post - looks like it is: 7-15:dmg:physical: 13:dmg🔥 13:dmg:magma: 50:block🧊 9%:heal:, 3 mod slots

There was also something about alternate defenses of 45:block🧊 and 45:block:physical:, or just 50:block:physical:. I wish I could be more helpful than that, but I can't afford it myself :P

Physical is 7 to 15. I don't think it's directly random because most of the time it's 12 or 13 like the Magma and Fire.

It has three different defenses. It's either 50 Ice or 50 Physical (most of the time) and then rarely it's 45 Ice and 45 Physical at the same time.

I've got it in my "ready to stomp on Ice King" set but it's not spectacular everyday use to my mind. If anyone wants to borrow it to do testing on I will happily loan it.

Ohhh we finally got an ice blocker. Interesting. Too bad it's only 50 icons defense.

Still, that's the one icon I don't really have defense for, so I might buy it. Mostly 'cause it's pretty. Don't think it'll see much use in battle cause no one really does a lot of ice right now.

Any curses or blessings? [edit] Oh yeah. Malhuili. Most forgettable weapon ever lol USS does kinda make this moot though, unless there's some awesome curse or blessing. Shame, cause I really wanted to like it. It's pretty, but not 350 mil pretty.

Well I already have about as much ice block with my Malhuili. I don't have much phys block yet, but I'm hoping to buy an Ether eventually so that will take care of that.

Ice and Phys def I think I've already got covered with USS and AU. Might be good for Hoarfrost too, I don't remember what he does outside of ice and wind though.

Looks cool, guess I'll aim for that come the new year.

If this is still accurate, he does some dark and physical as well (and looks like small amounts of light and water). So I guess this new thing could be decent against him, but is it really worth it to buy a weapon just for one challenger?

I feel like almost every new weapon coming out is blocking ice. Enough with the ice block =p

Why do I hate the random block on new weapons so much :'( I'd be more willing to buy the new weapon if I know it consistently blocks ice, but if it jumps around between physical and ice and until we know what triggers the change in defence icon types I guess I'll just stare at it. If its defence is pure random the Syringe still beats this one hands down.

Most of the time you are equally likely to get either the physical OR the ice defense. To my mind those might be called defense 1 and defense 2. I got 45 Phys AND 45 Ice one time, and reports getting 50 Phys and 50 Ice and also got a 30 icon one turn curse.

Personally, I"m confused. Even if the new weapon blocked 50 ice icons all the time, is there any (battle) reason to pay so much more for it than for an Unstable Sample Syringe? It looks like both heal 9 percent and have 3 mod slots and do about the same amount of damage (more or less). Or is there something else about the new weapon that I'm missing?
