I'd only use singed baguettes and crit tears if you want to maximize damage. I wouldn't bother replacing parched though since those are almost as good as singed, but I'd probably replace bona. blessings aren't going to proc during the fight
- if you want to throw sP at this, you could also get one more hit per battle by using an and, right now, they're under 75K each (lots under 100K) - just a thought.
- not both at once! - first AoN plus 100 percent freezer plus Aftershocks (for damage - not heal), then core (figured I really should use this against him :-) ) plus Shinwas Short Sword plus Perilous Whirlpool, then Aon plus attack weapon plus Aftershocks until AoN poofs (unless it is already gone), then STS plus attack weapon plus Aftershocks, then two attack weapons for my last hit (since I'm going to die anyway :-) )
I should be around 5m damage right now if my estimates are anywhere in the ballpark :x going to do some extras just in case
550,978/5,000,000
UGH. I don't think it's worth it for me at 2000/battle.
you have a week to do it, so that's not bad. just going to take a lot of work but you can do it
thanks :) the preselections speed things up a lot. last war I got almost 19m damage so only getting to 5 is a nice break
- I'm a teacher and I'm back at school this week haha. I'll see if I want to spend the last days without kids battling. I'm on Subeta everyday, but I like to think I'm more of a casual player. I need to weigh if I want to dedicate the needed time. I may just buy one after depending on the price.
I bought a Shriek, I'll see if my average goes up by much.
I'm sure a bunch will be for sale so yeah, up to you. you can always just tell the kids that there's nothing going on the first week, you have to fight a giant blob
haha. I'm sure they'll be fine with it. It's not like this is the last chance I'll ever have. I'll battle a bit tomorrow and see how I feel. Maybe the amount I get to will garner a decent prize.
- I remember. That was my first serious boss battle and I could not have done it without your help. I was totally rooting for you to earn your core and was amazed at your total damage after the event. You and the other long time serious battlers have really earned a break!
yeah, never know what the other prizes will be. maybe some new things will be thrown in
I just hate boss battles so much. a lot of stress for sitting in one place for hours upon hours trying not to fall asleep and doing as much damage as you can. this format is very stress free for me. just gotta hope my estimates are close enough and do some extra battles and I should get the top prize pretty easily
I think this format is good for people with not as strong pets too. plenty of time so the 5m goal is reachable
People are going to complain that weaker battlers get the core, but like if someone is spending 40 hours on the site they deserve it?
Time is money. At minimum wage (dependent on location) that's like spending $600 on the Subeta. It also takes out the chance of spending hours battling and missing the top spot by a low margin of battles/damage.
- I know! I was seriously thinking of just skipping the boss battles - after only two of them. So happy that this format is less stress (and much healthier) for you.
Yes, good for everyone to have the chance to spread things out, even if they can't earn the core. Not sure Tos will be able to match her younger sister and earn one, but still glad to see this new way of doing things.
- don't think there will be many complaints with this format since a weaker battler earning a core won't displace a stronger one from doing the same. I think it was much more of an issue when the high tier battlers were competing against each other and only a few of them could get cores, but my T2 pet could be top of her tier and earn one that not even my main pet (T8 then) was ready to use. (And, yes, since it was my first serious boss battle and I didn't even know what a core was, I got very lucky and have not forgotten to appreciate that. :-) )
By the way, just curious, what grade/subject do you teach?
if someone wants to spend 40 hours battling, they deserve it. last war, one pet in every tier got a core. so weak pets already got them, this way they at least earn them. lower tiers were not competitive.
- I think you can win multiples of all the prizes but only one core. Unless I missed that you're only battling with one pet.
From purge "To clarify some things:
I'm also a secondary math teacher.
- I didn't like that. I probably could have gotten one with minimal effort. I like this idea better. I may not get one, and that's fine. I still think there needs to be challenges.
I also keep missing the second b in your UN :P.
it's a step in the right direction I think. definitely would like a damage counter though haha
yeah, it kinda bothered me that it wasn't competitive. I wouldn't have minded it had it been more competitive though. this way is nice, all the competition isn't in the higher tiers, the higher tiers are able to get to the goal faster and can't double dip (which I never liked before too)
no worries, it happens all the time haha
- yes, you can earn prizes (except the core) for the damage level done by every one of your pets. But each user can only earn a single core.
- was it only one per tier? I thought is was awarded to the top three or something like that? (Your recollection is probably much better than mine, though.)
