Hah, I came to the same conclusion. Did enough fights to calculate I need nearly 500 battles (sigh), so I figured my time would be better spent on the actual battles than trying to keep track of damage. And knowing my paranoia about these things, I assume I'll panic after I get to 500 and decide to do 100 battles more, just to be on the safe side :D

Can anyone tell if blessings work against it? It has a really high speed so my Parched dont' seem to be triggering and I'm wondering if it's worth it to replace them with Criticals or with Earth damage?

Does the captured eternal flame freeze? I assume it does, since it can't be natasha or OC scroll. Does anyone have an idea about the percentage? I haven't been using it much, so I didn't even know about the freezing at all :)

I have been doing like ten battles with each battle combo I try, and totalling it up and dividing it by ten to see my average per battle. Whichever gets me the most average damage, that's what I will guesstimate, and then add twenty percent more, just for to make sure.

I'm hardly paying attention to my damage and stuff. just clicking make turn and using a bunch of freezers and good attackers. enough battles will get me there

yeah, iirc it's like a 33% freeze rate? might be lower, I don't use it a whole lot but it does freeze yes

Wishing everyone much success in the Battle Coliseum against the Hydragellos and the other Gelatins.

Four battles against the Hydragellos. Even using both a Phoenix Quill and GoTF together he still easily kills me on the first hit. So guess it's just use my best weapons and heal. Damage between 300 and 1000 (so hard to figure an average). About 2500 damage for these four battles. So doing some math - 5,000,000 would take me about 1000 battles a day for Tos to win a core (and catch up with her little sister, Gulp). At about 4500 sP per heal, that would be a cost of 4.5 million sP per day for 8 days - or a cost of about 36 million sP for a core.

Not a bad cost, but don't think there is any way, I can do that many battles. Not counting putting in any battling at all with Tharg, Gulp and 81, finishing off the 2,000 more Mini Gelatins I still need to kill, or the 10 Gelatin Wizards or the Quest-A-Thon, or the TBT challengers I haven't started fighting yet, or my Wayward Squirrel commitments. And we are at least 40,000 quests behind for the Quest-Thon, so I would feel bad skipping that at this point. A little too overwhelming for me. I'll have to wait for a higher tier pet to earn a core some other year. That shouldn't be a big problem, because the Maniacal Essence is a T11 weapon. :-)

Now to figure out who to fight with what pet how many times, LOL.

I have to say that I think it's an interesting way to distribute those much coveted cores to battlers who can make the best use of them and well worth the experiment to change the boss battle format. Still a lot of clicking involved for many of us, but at least we have more chance to spread it out.

- you can absolutely do this. I know you've been waiting for a core and this Gelatin War for a long time. How much damage can Verdugo do in one battle? If you are able to do 10K damage per battle, you would only need 500 battles spread over 8 days. Even on vacation I think you could probably get that done.

BQs are done, a little break between getting smushed by the beast lol.

Good luck in the war against the Hydragellos! I keep getting K.O. on the first hit even when using Cobalt UGH. On 10 battles total I have done around 23.5k total damage, but my best damage has been 6.1k

At this rate I'm not sure I'll be able to get to 50m damage dealt LOL -goes to heal-

Break time, 100 battles should be more than enough for me. Will do a lot more to be sure, then my other pets will get their damages in.

use that and a 100% freezer on the first turn so you don't get killed on the first turn maybe? :)

edit: kinda counted that round and did like 118k damage... I doubt I average that high but I'm happy with that

I look forwards to the other gellies as well just for more exp and a few wins to balance out all the losses... LOL! I wonder if the gellies will get new loot...
